      Parker's 26 helps Spurs down Thunder 91-87

SAN ANTONIO -- San Antonio put a stop the Thunder's 5 game win streak thanks to Tony Parker's play down the stretch.

Parker scored the final four points that provided the difference in the game as the Spurs defeated Oklahoma City 91-87.

Parker had 26 points on the night, Manu Ginobili chipped in with 19 points and Tim Duncan added 15.

Untypically bad free throw shooting cost the Thunder the win as the missed a total for 12 freebies. I half those go in OKC would have won the game.

Kevin Durant led the Thunder in scoring once again with 46 points but he couldn't finish the game as the effects of playing on back-to-back nights showed through.

Russell Westbrook had his first double-double of the season with 14 points and 10 assists but fouled out for the 2nd time in 3 games late in 4th quarter.

James Harden struggled with his shot hitting just 2 of 11 attempts.

The Thunder will return home for the next two games that bracket the Thanksgiving Holiday. First up will be a match-up with Kobe Bryant and the Lakers whom the OKC beat 92-83 on the opening night of the season. Bryant scored 38 points in the first meeting and Durant had 33.

Westbrook, Thunder shut down Lakers 96-76

OKLAHOMA CITY -- The Oklahoma City will be savor the taste of victory along with their Thanksgiving turkey after delivering a 20 point beat down to the Lakers.

Los Angeles trailed most of the game before rallying briefly in the fourth quarter only to lose their second in a row, 96-76.

The Thunder got back in the win column thanks to a season high 29 points from Russell Wesstbrook.

Kevin Durant had a bit of an off night but his teammates picked up the slack as 11 of the 12 Thunder players scored in the game.

Playing for the 2nd night in a row the Lakers age really showed. Kobe Bryant led the team with 23 points, but never really got it going.

"We're just playing horrible defense right now. We're just making too many mistakes," Bryant said. "The mistakes that we're making are correctable and a good practice session will correct that."

Oklahoma City had really put the game away before halftime holding L.A. to 10 points in the second quarter.

"The second-quarter defense was the best as we could possibly play against one of the best teams in basketball," Oklahoma City coach Scott Brooks said. "Anytime you can beat the Lakers, it's a good win. They're one of the best teams and they haven't won a lot of games lately, but they're going to be right there."

The Thunder led the entire game, with their largest lead of 23 coming in the 2nd quarter.

After the break for the holiday OKC will welcome the Memphis Grizzlies and their 4 game win streak to town.

Durant powers Thunder past Grizzlies for 87-75 win

[b]OKLAHOMA CITY --[b] Kevin Durant is learning to be patient if he gets off to a bad start shooting.

Durant showed the new approach Wednesday night, scoring 25 points, despite missing six of his first seven shots, as the Oklahoma City Thunder defeated the Memphis Grizzlies 87-75.

"You know, I think I'm maturing as a player," Durant said. "Last year, if I got off to a slow start, I would have let it affect me. But I try to keep my composure and believe in myself and know I worked hard."

The shots started falling after the inaccurate start, as Durant made five of his next six.

"I started off terrible," Durant said. "I thought I was going to have a really, really bad game after the first shot I took. It didn't even touch the rim. But I just stayed with it and continued to believe in myself."

Russell Westbrook finished with 14 points, while Eric Maynor added a season-high 11 for Oklahoma City.

The game was an early matchup between two of the West's young up-and-coming teams, who met in last season's conference semifinals, won by the Thunder in seven games.

"I think you come to expect the game to be as physical as this game was when you come to play against Memphis," Thunder coach Scott Brooks said.

Rudy Gay led the Grizzlies with 18 points despite being in early foul trouble and eventually fouling out late in the game.

The Thunder will now hit the road for 3 straight games starting Sunday in Los Angeles against the Clippers and ending with back-to-back games at Golden State and Denver.

OKC will be without Daequan Cook for the next 6-8 weeks as the 3-point specialist broke an ankle after landing hard going for a rebound.

Thunder roll behind Harden's career best 27 points

LOS ANGELES -- The Oklahoma City Thunder found a third ingredient to go along with Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook, James Harden whose career best performance lifted team to their third road win of the season.

Harden had 27 points and 18 of which came in the first half of the Thunder's 87-80 win, Durant added 25 points including a perfect 8-8 from the foul line.

Serge Ibaka had a season high 16 points and added 6 rebounds.

The Thunder needed Harden's extra scoring punch as Russell Westbrook had a terrible shooting night hitting on just one of his 12 attempts, he did however dish out 6 assists and shut down Chris Paul on the defensive end.

"Defense is an ingredient in everything for us," said Westbrook. "We got out with steals and got some fast-break points. Guys played together tonight and that's what we need for us to win."

After a hot start the Paul failed to score after halftime and finished the game with just one assist.

Chauncey Billups and Blake Griffen led the Clippers in scoring with 18 points each and Caron Butler added 16.

Oklahoma City will continue their road trip after a day off as they face the Golden State Warriors.

Perkins grabs 3000th rebound in win over Warriors

OAKLAND, CA -- The Oklahoma City Thunder got out to just the kind of start they wanted: a big opening run with Kevin Durant scoring 20 first quarter points on his to a 40 point game.

Russell Westbrook added 18 points and 6 assists, but the Thunder nearly squandered a lead in the fourth quarter before beating the Golden State Warriors 88-81.

"I think we started the fourth quarter off kind of bad -- a couple turnovers and easy baskets for them -- and that's kind of contagious. We've got to do a better job of if we're up by a lot, not be too relaxed," said Durant, "We're not that good yet to be relaxed when we have big leads. We've got to keep fighting for 48 minutes. It's a lesson learned for us."

Kenrick Perkins grabbed his 3000th career rebound in the game, he finished with 6 points and 8 rebounds in the game.

James Harden had 13 points before fouling out midway through the fourth quarter.

Stephen Curry scored 20 points and ignited the Warriors' rally that cut the deficit to three in the final minute, before Durant put the game away at the free throw line.

Oklahoma City will wrap up their three game road trip tomorrow night in Denver against the Nuggets. The Thunder need overtime to defeat get the win in the teams first meeting this season, winning 105-98.

Monta Ellis led the Warriors with 21 rebounds and David Lee had a game high 10 rebounds.

Kevin Durant scores 33 as Thunder get first win in Denver since leaving Seattle

DENVER -- Kevin Durant and the Oklahoma City Thunder knocked several things off their Denver to-do list Thursday night.

They finally won in Denver, 93-78, snapping the franchise's seven-game skid at the Pepsi Center.

Durant scored 33 points. Russell Westbrook added 23 points as the Thunder completed a three game road, during which they won all three games.

Arron Afflalo led the Nuggets with 18 points and Rudy Fernandez added 16.

The Thunder took control with a 16-0 run that turned a 72-69 deficit into an 85-72 cushion. Durant capped the decisive burst with an alley-oop dunk and two free throws.

"If it wasn't for that run, where we just didn't get back, missed assignments and they made easy shots and free throws, we'd definitely be in the game, probably would have won the game," Afflola figured.

The Thunder will have two day break before returning to the court at home to face the New Orleans Hornets.
