I love reading this man. Keep it up. Its very informative and I love that Lebron went back to the Cavs....even though the likely hood of that happening are slim. I read through it all. T'Wolves are looking solid, but I am curious...are the Sixers that good of a team or is it just this Association that they have been so dominant?

The First month of the new Season is in the books and we're already starting to see a few teams separate themselves from the pack, while, other teams are already looking like potential NBA Draft Lottery teams...

After the departure of LeBron James and Chris Bosh from South Beach, Dwayne Wade has resumed his role as the Go To Guy in Miami... Averaging over 30 points per game, DWade is carrying the Miami Heat right now... At 32 years old, its going to be interesting to see if he can keep this pace up all Season long... The Heat's 2nd leading scorer is SF Trevor Ariza, who's putting in 15.2 per game... Their new Power Forward, the 29th pick in the 2013 Draft Alex Oriakhi is showing that he can most definetely play in this league, averaging 8.9 points and 7.6 rebounds in his first full season as a starter... The problem with the Heat is that they don't really have anyone outside of Wade that can get his own shot... We all know that you need more than one star in the NBA so, I don't expect Miami to lead the Southeast Division for very long...
Brandon Jennings from the Bucks is having his best Season as a pro... Having a career year so far in every category, averaging 27.5 points, 5.7 rebounds, 9.2 assists, and 2.2 steals per game... The Bucks are hanging around in a tough Central Division and Brandon Jennings is the reason why... As of today, this team is not on in the same ballpark, talent wise, with the Division leading Cavaliers, however, with Jennings, Granger, Ilyasova and last years 16th pick in the 1st round Myck Kabongo (Texas) the Bucks look to be a good young team on the rise...
The Cavaliers, as expected are rolling early on and this team is down right scary with LeBron James, Kyrie Irving and Shabazz Muhammad... LeBron is scoring just over 25 points per game, Kyrie is putting in nearly 24 and Shabazz is nearly averaging 20 per game... Thompson and Varejao are grabbing nearly 20 rebounds per game between the two of them and role players like Dion Waiters and Trey Burke are bringing a ton of energy off the bench... This team is going to be a force all year long and right now, they look like the best team in the Eastern Conference...
It was expected to be a down year for the Knicks after Carmelo Anthony bolted the Big Apple and headed out West to join CP3, Blake Griffin and the LA Clippers... However, through the first month of the Season, the Knickerbockers are playing some great basketball... Amare Stoudemire looks like he's 25 years old again, averaging 26.5 points and grabbing 7.3 rebounds per game... Point Guard Raymond Felton is having the best year of his career pouring in 19.1 points and dishing out 9.1 assists per game... New Small Forward Alonzo Gee, who left Cleveland shortly after LeBron re-signed with the Cavs, is loving his new role as a starter with the Knicks... Gee is averaging a career highs in points (18.8) rebounds (5.5) and steals (1.5)... With this trio the Knicks could actually be a better all around team than they were with Carmelo...
The Boston Celtics aren't really setting the world on fire early in the Season with their 9-8 record, however, you can see that this team has a bright future.... PF Derrick Williams is starting to figure things out and he's putting in 15 points and 8 rebounds per game... Rajon Rondo is doing his thing as he is once again near the league leaders in assists, steals and rebounds per game as a Point Guard... The 8th pick of the 2013 Draft, SF Alex Poythress is stepping his game up with his increased minutes... He's not tearing up the nets but his improvement since his rookie year is very noticeable... Avery Bradley and Jeff Green are solid, steady NBA Players, both average about 12 points per game... Celtics 1st round pick this year (5th overall), SG Mike Fordham from Indiana is showing his versatility, as he is scoring 6.8 points, grabbing 3 rebounds and dropping 3 assists in only 18 minutes per game... All in all the Celtics have a great young team and they will definetely get better as the Season goes on... There have been rumors about Rajon Rondo being on the trading block, but, we haven't heard anything notable on that as of yet...
Out West, in the Southwest Division it looks like the Rockets and the Hornets are going to battle it out all year long... The Hornets, with their Twin Tower Duo of Anthony Davis and Nerlens Noel are simply dominant in the paint... The two of them average 30.4 points, 20.4 rebounds and 3.4 blocks per game combined... The Combo of Austin Rivers and Eric Gordon on the outside make this team extremely dangerous and they will surely be a player in the Western Conference this year...
The Houston Rockets, who were the #1 Seed in the West last year, only to be upset by the 8th seeded T'Wolves in the Playoffs, look like they are ready to make another run this year... The team brings back nearly their entire Roster and PG Jeremy Lin and SG James Harden forms one of the most dynamic backcourts in the League... Together they average 47.7 points, 14.6 assists 2.8 steals and 11.2 rebounds per game... Its going to be a fun team to watch all year long
As one superstar's era is coming to an end, another superstar's era is born... Kobe Bryant has indicated that this will likely be his final NBA Season, and wouldn't you know it, the Lakers have his replacement waiting in the wings with 2014, 1st round pick (3rd overall) Roge Fox from Miami... Fox has already shown flashes of brilliance and his consistency is what separates him from the rest of the rookies so far this year... Fox has scored in double digits in every game he's played this year and he looks like he's going to be a great all around player... Averaging 14.3 points, 3.8 assists, 4.6 rebounds and 1.1 steals per game, he is clearly the favorite for NBA Rookie of the Year... Kobe is scoring only 18.8 points per game, but, the team is winning and they have a nice mixture of Veteran Leadership, and youth... Oh yeah, and there is this guy named Dwight Howard who roams the paint on Defense and likes to drop tomahawk dunks on his opponents on the offensive end of the floor... The Lakers are good, and they will get better as the Season goes on... Will Kobe get his 7th NBA Title?
The Utah Jazz are the hottest team in the league through the 1st month of the season... Sitting at 12-5 they have the best record in the league, and they look like a team that is going to stay atop the Power Rankings for the whole year... The trade they made at the deadline last year, shipping PF Paul Milsap to the Clippers for PG Eric Bledsue couldn't have worked out any better... Bledsue has been playing well, managing the game with 12 points, 8 assists and 2 steals per game... The strength of the Jazz team is in the post as they have two great big men in Center Al Jefferson and Power Forward Derrick Favors... The trade of Milsap finally opened up a starting position for Favors, who, before the trade was not happy as all with his role on the team... Needless to say, he seems to be thrilled now, averaging about 35 minutes per game he's scoring and rebounding at career high numbers 14.4 points and 9.7 boards per game... Jefferson has taken his game to the next level scoring 21.2 points and pulling down 8.2 boards per game... SF from Ohio State, DeShaun Thomas is coming into his own as a scorer in the NBA... Thomas with his increased role is scoring 14.3 points per game, and when he gets a breather, SF Gordon Heyward fills in perfectly and puts in 14 more points, 4.3 rebounds and 4.2 assists per game... The Utah Jazz are a complete team and I don't think there's any question that they are going to be a big time factor in the Western Conference this year...
Rookie Report
Lets take a look at how some of the rookies are fairing in their 1st month of the NBA... I'm not going to go into any detail about any of them just yet, I'll wait until next month's review for that, but, I just wanted to give you guys a quick idea of how they are doing so you could follow me when I talk about them later...

Re: 2k13 Cleveland Cavaliers - Rise up and Rebuild
Blake Griffin
Out 6-8 weeks with a broken foot
The Clippers are 9-8 right now and Blake was having one of his best Seasons to date... 23 points / 8 rebounds / 1.5 blocks per game... Well, someone is going to have to step up because Blake wont be back until around the All-Star break... Carmelo Anthony and Chris Paul are going to have to step their game up if they are going to hang around in a tough Western Conference...
Dirke Nowitzki
Out 6-8 with strained MCL
The Mavericks and their fans were looking forward to this season, the team has a nice core in place and they were looking strong starting the Season 3-1... Then, Dirk Nowitzki went down and the Mavs went on to lose 11 of their next 12 games and are quickly falling behind in the West... If they can't turn things around with Dirk out for these two months, the Mavericks are going to be in big trouble... To make matters worse, the Cleveland Cavaliers have the Mavs 1st round pick this year, from a trade in in 2012...Comment

Re: 2k13 Cleveland Cavaliers - Rise up and Rebuild
January 1st, 2015
Just a quick update here fellas... Just finished up the 2nd month of the Season, my Cavaliers are sitting at 20-12 after a mediocre December where they went 9-7...
The team leaders are as follows
POINTS PER GAME
Spoiler
LeBron James - 23.1ppg
REBOUNDS PER GAME
Spoiler
Anderson Varejao - 8.8rpg
ASSISTS PER GAME
Spoiler
Kyrie Irving - 7.2asp
DEVELOPING STORY
The team isn't quite gelling yet, and mumbling around the team is that SG Dion Waiters is not taking kindly to his "Sixth Man" role on the team and he's starting to grumble about it to the media... This Season, Dion's minutes are down to just under 20 minutes per game, and his scoring and field goal percentage has dropped off dramatically because of his lack of playing time... Waiters is averaging just under 10 points per game off the bench, and is shooting a career worst .438% from the field...
Clearly he isn't thrilled with his current role and would like more minutes... The Cavs have thought about making a switch, and bringing Shabazz Muhammad off the bench instead, but, as of now, no such change has been made... With the Cavaliers sitting at 20-12 and with a 2.0 game lead in the Central Division, toying with the starting rotation probably wouldn't be wise...
Quiet rumors from around the league are that the Cavs would trade Waiters if the price was right as they still need a big man to team up with Thompson and Varejao...

Re: 2k13 Cleveland Cavaliers - Rise up and Rebuild
2015/16 (Season 3)
We're at the All Star Break and the NBA Trade Deadline soon after... Here are some of the players that are on Rumored to be on the trading block...
SF - Rudy Gay - Grizzlies
Gay's contract will expire after this Season and word around Memphis is they are not willing to offer him the Max Dollars that he'll be looking for... The Grizzlies are having a down year and with a 23-30 record they could be looking to unload Gay for some future picks and other young pieces...
Rumored Teams interested:
================================================== ========
PF - Paul Milsap - Clippers
At last years' trade deadline the Clippers traded PG Eric Bledsue for big man Paul Milsap in hopes of giving them some much needed depth at the PF and Center position... The move has added depth, however, Milsap doesn't seem very happy with his role on the team... Playing roughly 25 minutes a night, Milsap is beginning to complain about minutes... With Blake Griffin and DeAndre Jordan anchoring the starting Power Forward and Center Positions, Milsap is going to need to accept the fact that he's not going to be a starter... If he can't accept that, he could be on the move... The Clippers are a disappointing 26-27 to this point in the Season, partly due to Blake Griffin being out for the last 5 weeks, but, despite having a star studded roster of Chris Paul, Carmelo Anthony and Blake Griffin... The team looks like they are struggling playing together as a unit, instead of a group of individuals...
Rumored Teams interested:
================================================== ========
PF - Carlos Boozer -
Its no secret that Boozer's time in Chicago is numbered... At the start of this season he lost his starting Power Forward position to youngster Taj Gibson and Boozer hasn't played well coming off the bench... Averaging about 18 minutes per game, Boozer is scoring just under 10 points per game and grabbing 5 rebounds per game... He's not happy coming off the bench, and, with an expiring contract, he is a big trade chip this time of the year... The Bulls need a SG desperately to team up with Derick Rose, the question will be is there any team out there that would be willing to part with future 1st round draft picks or young players for basically a salary cap dump this Off-Season?
Rumored Teams interested:
================================================== ========
SG - Dion Waiters - Cavaliers
At Syracuse, Dion Waiters was one of the best off the bench scorers in the Country, playing behind two upperclassmen... Waiters didn't start a single game at Syracuse, however, when the game was on the line, in the 2nd half he was always on the floor as he was one of, if not the, best scorer on the Syracuse roster... In the NBA the Cavaliers selected him with the 4th overall pick in 2012, and inserted him into their starting lineup from Day 1... Things were going well, until this past off-season when the Cavaliers drafted SG / SF Shabazz Muhammad from UCLA... The pick, along with the addition of SF LeBron James return to Cleveland pushed Waiters out of the starting lineup and into the 6th man role that he played at Syracuse... For awhile, Dion seemed fine with the move, as he excelled early on in his new role, however, this season has gone on, he has been less and less pleased with getting fewer minutes each night... Waiters has officially asked to be traded, and while the Cavs love his energy and scoring ability coming off the Bench, they can't allow his negative attitude to effect the rest of the team... Waiters rookie contract will be expiring after this Season, and even though the Cavs are the #1 Seed in the East right now, they could look to move him for another big man to make a title run... A possible swam of Milsap and Waiters has been talked about with the LA Clippers as both players are unhappy with their current roles coming off the bench...
