Boston is definitely in the Running for Rudy... He stayed on Memphis in my Association because I started before he was traded to the Raptors.

Alright fellas, thanks for following along with me and thanks for being patient as I haven't been updating things as much as I'd like to... I've finally reached the All Star Break in 2015/16, my 3rd Season and below you'll see how things are shaking out around the league, and with my Cleveland Cavaliers...

Here is a look at the NBA Standings at the All Star Break...

Some big name teams really need to get their act together in the 2nd half if they are going to make a playoff push... The LA Clippers have been a disappointment up to this point in the Season, with the addition of SF Carmelo Anthony this Off-Season and PF Paul Milsap at the Trade Deadline last year, this team was expected to compete for an NBA Title this year... So far, things haven't worked out as planned as the team is struggling to gel as a unit...

There are a few teams that are surprising people around the league. The Bobcats, seem to finally be getting the right pieces in place, after picking in the Top 5 of the NBA Draft nearly every year, also, with the Addition of SF Danny Granger and the emergence of PG Brandon Jennings as an MVP Candidate, the Milwaukee Bucks look like they are for real...

The Western Conference is as tight as its ever been, with just 6 games separating the #1 seed from the #8 seed in the Playoffs... There are 3 teams in the West on the outside looking in at the playoffs, however, if they were in the East they would be #8 and #7 and #6 seeds in the Playoffs...

LeBron's return to Cleveland is going great and LBJ is once again leading the MVP Voting... LeBron has won 4 of the last 5 MVP Awards and if he keeps playing at this level he'll bring home his 4th straight... His overall scoring is down just slightly from last Season, but, his play on the defensive end of the floor, his rebounding and his leadership is really driving the Cavaliers success this Season...

Man, Jennings! Is he in a contract year?

I'm going to predict Cavaliers - Heat in the Eastern Conference Finals.

                      2015/16 NBA TRADE DEADLINE

It's that time of year again folks... The teams that have a legit shot at winning an NBA Title have emerged, and the teams that don't have a shot have already starting planning for the future... That usually leads to some interesting trades around the Trade Deadline, some big named players that you may not expected to be traded, get traded, because of many reasons...

The obvious reason being, the players current team is out of the Playoff race, and that player is entering Free Agency following the Season... The new team would be, in a sense "renting" the player for the remainder of the Season and would be in hopes of re-signing him long term in the Off-Season...

So, without further ado, here is a look at some of the trades that were made late last night right before the deadline...

                      Wizards trade
                      SG Jordan Crawford - 77

                      Bulls trade
                      SF Jimmy Butler - 69
                      15' 1st round pick

Crawford joins Derrick Rose and the Bulls

The addition of SG Jordan Crawford gives PG Derrick Rose his best backcourt mate since his career started in Chicago... Never before has Rose been able to play with someone that can score the ball as well as Crawford... The Bulls are hoping that some of the scoring load can be taken off of Rose and that Crawford will be that missing piece they have been looking for in their quest for an NBA Title... For the Wizards, the emergence of some young players allows them to trade away one of their better scorers, in hopes of developing SF Jimmy Butler into a solid contribute... The 1st round pick they acquired from the Bulls probably wont be a lottery pick, however, there are some solid players in this upcoming draft so, we'll have to wait and see what that turns into...

                      ---
                      ---

                      Cavaliers trade
                      SG Dion Waiters - 83 (3 1/2 stars)
                      C Tyler Zeller - 71 (2 stars)

                      Knicks trade
                      C Tyson Chandler - 73 (1 1/2 stars)
                      SG Ronnie Brewer - 70 (1 stars)
                      2016' 1st round pick (next year) - (1 1/2 stars)

A disgruntled Dion Waiters and Tyler Zeller head to the Big Apple

Dion Waiters wasn't happy with his role on the Cavaliers since the team drafted SG Shabazz Muhammad 2 years ago... Waiters has recently been growing more and more frustrated with his lack of playing time, and he had openly asked for a trade just a few weeks ago... Current Knicks SG Iman Shumpurt has already informed the team that he will be testing the FA Waters this summer, so, the addition of Waiters will provide the team with some insurance in case Shumpurt decides to leave... The hope is that Waiters will be happier coming off the bench in New York than he was in Cleveland, at least for the remainder of the Season...

Tyson Chandler and Ronnie Brewer, Got Defense?

The addition of Tyson Chandler and Ronnie Brewer add some Defensive minded players to a team that desperately needs it... Tyson Chandler, the former Defensive Player of the Year still has some good years of basketball left in him and Ronnie Brewer is one of the best perimeter defenders in the NBA... Both players are expected to come off the bench, but, Chandler is expected to play about 25-30 minutes per night as he'll be the first big man off the bench behind Tristan Thompson and Andy Varejao... With the team's overall chemistry in mind, they decided to pull this trigger on this deal with the Knicks... On the surface it looks as if the Cavaliers sacrificed some long term potential for a short term gain... Losing Waiters is tough, but, addition by subtraction was the underlying factor of this trade... The trade, in my opinion, makes the Cavaliers one of, if not the best Defensive Team in the NBA... We all know "what" wins Championships, and this trade was without a doubt made with that in mind...

                      ---
                      ---

                      Knicks trade
                      SF Alonzo Gee - 75 (2*)
                      SF Steve Novak - 52 (1*)
                      15' 1st round pick - (1 1/2*)

                      Grizzlies trade
                      SF Rudy Gay - 88 - (4*)

Rudy Gay hoping to bring New York back to NBA Elite Status

The New York Knicks have been a busy team over the last 24 hours, trading away Tyson Chandler, Ronnie Brewer, Alonzo Gee and Steve Novak... Bringing in two very good scorers in Dion Waiters and Rudy Gay instantly put this team right in the mix in the Eastern Conference... Rudy Gay, who's contract will expire this summer, was expected to leave Memphis high and dry in free agency, so the Grizzlies decided now was the time to unload him for some other pieces... The Knicks new starting lineup will be Raymond Felton, Iman Shumpurt, Rudy Gay, Amar'e Stoudemire and Steven Adams with Dion Waiters playing 25-30 minutes off the bench each night...

For the Grizzlies, the addition of Alonzo Gee gives them a player that should fit right into their Defensive mindset... Gee, who is having his best scoring year of his career, averaging 18 points per game for the Knicks will be the Grizzlies starting SF going forward... With a starting lineup of Mike Conley, Vin Sampson Jr, Alonzo Gee, Zach Randolph and Marc Gasol, the Grizzlies could make some noise in the Western Conference...

Love the thread! I've been trying to doing association threads all year, but I would get started and just not have enough time, but I plan to take my second year 30-team association and start a dynasty thread. I was commenting to also ask where you found those logos and if you wouldn't mind me using them as well.

                          Thanks!

Re: 2k13 Cleveland Cavaliers - Rise up and Rebuild

Alright fellas, its April 1st, 2015 and there are just a handful of games remaining in the Regular Season... We saw some big names get moved at the trade deadline, and, for some teams those moves are working out well, for other teams, no so well... Here's a quick run down of whats going on around the league and heading into the Playoffs...

Here's a couple notes before I post all the standings and playoff races from around the league...

**Cavs - 23 game win streak dating back to Feb 8th, snapped by Clippers on March 30th**

**Cavs 20-1 since the All Star Break / Trade with Knicks**

The Cavaliers have been rolling since the addition of Tyson Chandler and Ronnie Brewer... The Defensive attitude and mindset that those two players brings to the game on a nightly basis appears to be exactly what this team had been missing... This team was picked by some, before the trade, to represent the Eastern Conference in the NBA Finals... After the trade, it looks like they will head into the playoffs as the favorite to end the Thunder's Championship reign...

Since the addition of Rudy Gay and Dion Waiters, the Knicks have been scoring with the best in the league, however, with the departure of two of their best defenders, Tyson Chandler and Ronnie Brewer, the team hasn't been able to stop anyone... Scoring over 100 points per game is nice, but, if you're giving up over 100

                                **Knicks 8-14 since trades**
