Re: Time To Shake Things Up: A New Breed Of Dynasty: Discussion Thread
Seeing as I don't want to spend any more time on players, I'll create the last two.
Personal
First Name: Hunter
Last Name: Young
Position: C
Play Style: Defensive
Secondary Position: PF
College/from: Georgetown
Birth Date: 09-14, 21
Jersey Number: 6, 10, 32
Handedness: Left
Dunking Hand: Left
Experience: 3 years at Georgetown
Personality: Neutral. A quiet guy most of the time but will get in you face and lead if he has to. Domineering presence about him. He intimidates and commands respect, even when he doesn't talk much. When he does talk, people listen.
Play Initiator: No
Bio: Growing up was not easy for Hunter. He lived in a low-income area in Queens, gaining local recognition at a young age, being 6'7" at the age of 14. The scrawny 14-year old who had never touched a basketball before that year had become a legend on the court from the start. People talked about him, his highlight mixes blew up on youtube, and his life took a turn for the better. Douglass Academy in Manhattan offered him a spot in their school to play basketball, as well as offering his his father, a struggling science teacher at a low budget high school where they lived, a well-paying job at the Academy. It was his, and his families, ticket out. They moved to Manhattan where his play got some national recognition. He was a 4 year starter at Douglass Academy, and he delivered 1 state title to them in his Senior year. He got a ton of college offers, including from the 4 Northeast powerhouses, Syracuse, Georgetown, Villanova, and St. Johns. He initially had a verbal commit to Villanova, but spurned them to go to Georgetown, where he was touted to be the next great Georgetown big man. Before this, he had developed a rivalry with fellow New York high-school big man Jason Dwyer. He and Dwyer went after it. Dwyer was the more polished guy, playing basketball since he was 6, but he wasn't the big, imposing, athletic freak that Hunter was. They met in 3 state title games, and Dwyer took home two of them, and was the only player in New York that was able to play on the level of Young. Young averaged 23.7 PPG, 16.9 RPG, and 8.2 BPG in high school. He got to Georgetown, where the rivalry between he and Dwyer intensified, as Dwyer took his place at Villanova. His first season was a tourney birth and early exit. He averaged 14.1 PPG, 9.9 RPG, and 2.2 BPG in his freshman season. He returned to Georgetown in his second season, as he wanted to win a title. He failed again, falling in the Round of 32 to Villanova. His Junior season was his best. He led his team to an Elite 8 berth, before falling again at the hands of Villanova and Jason Dwyer. He averaged 22.3 PPG, 13.7 RPG, and 4.7 BPG in his Junior year, before deciding to turn pro following his third season.

First Name: Jason
Last Name: Dwyer
Position: C
Play Style: Back To The Basket
Secondary Position: PF
College/from: Villanova
Birth Date: 9-16, 21
Jersey Number: 11, 25, 16
Handedness: Right
Dunking Hand: Right
Experience: 3 years at Villanova
Personality: Laid Back. Not nearly as intimidating as his counterpart Young. Tim Duncan-esque.
Play Initiator: No
Bio: Jason was always the under-appreciated commodity in New York. He grew up with a ball in his hands and a dream. He wanted to be a Professional Basketball player. At the age of 6, he entered his first organized basketball league, in his hometown of Brooklyn, New York. He was able to dominate, even though he wasn't very athletic, because he was the tallest guy on the court. However, he was overshadowed by a young athletic guard who tragically tore his ACL at the age of 9 and never played again. Once he reached 8th grade, he wasn't the only giant on the floor. His athleticism, which wasn't as bad as when he was younger but was still not great, caught up to him on the defensive end, as the shorter, quicker centers got around him. then he met Hunter Young. Hunter Young dominated him in their first meeting, physically overpowering him and being the far superior athlete. This was the first of many meetings between Young and Dwyer. It was also Young's first organized basketball game. He entered High School with a stronger frame and improved athleticism. As a freshman, he was 6'8" and 225 pounds. He played varsity his first year, but did not start, because his coaches still didn't think he was quick enough. He worked harder, and earned the starting job as a sophomore. He led his team to a State Championship win over Douglass Academy, and their dominant center, the then 6'9" 208 pound Hunter Young. He averaged 14 PPG, 10 RPG, and 7 APG. He came back next year as a junior, and led them to another State Title, again beating Douglass Academy and Hunter Young. They had developed an intense rivalry and hated each other, although also respecting each other for their talents. Young got all the press, even though Dwyer had been out dueling him in the big games. This was because he wasn't the same specimen that Young was. It angered him, so he came back the next year, after working all offseason with a trainer on his athleticism, and dominated in his senior year. He, then 6'11" 240, averaged 24 PPG, 15 RPG, 8 APG, and 3 BPG. This was all for naught, as this time, Young beat him in the state title and got all the glory again. After Young turned his back on Villanova to play for Georgetown, Dwyer went to Villanova to get his chance to finally get past Young, and for the same school that shared his desire to beat Young. He was solid as a freshman, scoring 12 PPG with 8 RPG. He also beat out Young in the NCAA tournament. He would do this three years in a row, and go to 2 National Championship games, alongside point guard Dre Douglas, and between the two of them revived Villanova who was in a slump after having a period of great success a few years back. They would lose both title games. Dwyer averaged 16.2 PPG, 9.4 RPG, and 4.8 APG over his college career before deciding to turn pro after his junior year.

Any GM spots open? I'm probably reviving the ASFL as a basketball league but if not then I'll join as a coach and GM.INACTIVEComment

Re: Time To Shake Things Up: A New Breed Of Dynasty: Discussion Thread
I said from the beginning that this wasn't going to be a CAP dynasty. The way I'm going to run it, is that each team needs someone to run it, since I can't as I'm running the league itself and playing the games, I don't want to worry about rotations and personnel decisions, so I've decided to let you guys run two teams. An NBA team, and an EBA team will be assigned to you. You may choose either your EBA or NBA team, but not both. I will assign the other, so that way, say you choose a big market team like the Lakers, then you would get a small market team in the EBA (like Salt Lake, so you won't have too much influence in the world of pro basketball, and vice versa. Big Market teams always have a larger influence in their respective leagues, so to make it fair, nobody has two big market teams.
Also, with an EBA team set to be in Salt Lake City, and me renaming the New Orleans Pelicans the New Orleans Jazz, I would like to relocate and rebrand the Utah Jazz, anybody have any ideas?
And lastly, I'm announcing the postponing of this series' debut to 2k15 (if it has association, if not then 2k14 CG, but not until around the release of 2k15). I just don't have the time to start this yet, and there's still plenty to figure out in terms of the logistics of the EBA.Comment

I want Iowa if it's not taken yet. Also, instead of using 2K I think EBA games should be played using a text sim with custom rosters, it's easier then making tons of created players. I think Wolverine games has something you could use.INACTIVEComment

Well you can make 30 coaches and have them trade to manage the offseason. And ratings are just like 2k, you just make a custom roster.INACTIVEComment
