Milwaukee, WI -- Yesterday the Bucks and the Celtics were tied for 8th place in the East. Now, Milwaukee jumps to 7 as the Celtics fall to 9.
For Milwaukee, they are playing their first game without young big man Nerlens Noel. His injury is just one of many this season for the Bucks. Earlier in the season, backup PG Kendall Marshall broke his leg. Soon after, Jabari Parker suffered a severe ankle sprain. Shortly after that, Larry Sanders broke his humerus. And now, Noel goes down with a torn calf muscle.
As the internet has labeled it, the Bucks are suffering from the #InjuryBug. Nevertheless, the show must go on.
In Noel's place, John Henson, the third year center out of UNC has stepped in. In tonight's game, he played exceptionally well, scoring 12 points and grabbing a career-high 16 rebounds.
Back and forth the game went since the opening tip. There was a total of 23 lead changes, that was until the fourth quarter.
Neither team was ready to lose this game, but one was more driven to win, and that was Milwaukee. They came up with six fourth quarter steals, and pushed out to a 10 point lead, and Boston just lost it. They were forcing shots, and didn't let the game come to them.
Milwaukee would go on to win the game by a score of 108-100. Brandon Knight played very well, posting an incredible stat line of 19p/6r/11a/5s. One of his best all around games of the season.
There are two games left before the All-Star weekend, and Milwaukee, riding a 3 game winning streak, is hoping to extend it to 5 before the break.
