    Pfeifere1's Coaching Legacy (Ch2k8)

    Pfeifere1's Coaching Legacy

    College Hoops 2k8
    CPU vs. CPU Legacy
    Jukeman's Sliders
*I can't remember what the rosters are that I'm starting with but I do know they are from the '07-08 season*

The idea here is simple. I really enjoy the details of this game, while enjoying physically playing NCAA Basketball 10 a bit more. The best thing for me to keep enjoying this legacy as well as keeping this thread alive is by doing a sim legacy. I'll control everything about my teams, but will just sit and watch (or do stuff around the house) while the games play out. Enjoy this coaching legacy as I intent to keep this going for the long run!

              Tulane (0-2) @ Charleston Southern (1-0)
              CSU Fieldhouse
              November 12, 2007

Both Charleston Southern (1-0) and Tulane (0-2) started tonight's game shooting very well, however all the wheels fell off after halftime. The two sides looked antsy as they settled for many mid-range jumpers or contested three point attempts. This was particularly noticed with the lack of free throws between the two sides.

Through it all, CSU's sophomore guard Sheldon Strickland had the best game of anyone, finishing with 13 points and 5 assists on 4-8 shooting. The only other player in double figures for the Buccaneers was freshman center Cedrick Bowen who registered his first collegiate double-double, posting 10 points and 13 rebounds on an effective 5-8 shooting night.

Charleston Southern hosts Auburn in a week with a big test against a solid SEC team.

For Charleston Southern (2-0), inviting an SEC team into their house was always going to lead to a blow out but nobody knew it would go in the favor of the Buccaneers. They ran away with a 69-42 victory over Auburn (2-2) thanks to a second half offensive onslaught.

CSU's offense was spread around nicely, however fans could easily pick out two standout performances. Junior guard Jeremy Sexton finished with a game-high 18 points (4-7 from downtown) and sophomore guard Sheldon Strickland scored 11 points thanks to his perfect 3-3 from behind the line and added 8 assists.

It was a disappointing night for Auburn as they only had one player reach double figures with F. Sullivan finishing with 14 points and 4 assists, but didn't help his team going 2-12 from three.

Up next for Charleston Southern is a trip to The Citadel for their first road trip of the new season.

It was a tale of two halves as Charleston Southern (2-1) went on the road and fell apart in the second half during a 62-45 loss to The Citadel (2-2). As they say, if you live by the three, you die by the three. The three point shooting of CSU was brutal in the second half of the game as the Buccaneers continued to chuck up horrible looking shots, eventually fading fast and losing their halftime lead.

Both teams had a rough shooting night, but for CSU it was their lone senior that was the only calm presence on the court. Senior small forward Jonathan Brooks had a career night coming off the bench and finishing with 18 points on 7-11 shooting, 4-6 from three.

For the hosts, all five starters finished in double figures with either points or rebounds, completely dominating the CSU starting five. Leading the way for the Bulldogs was B. Smith, finishing with 20 points, 4 assists and 3 rebounds.

Up next for the Buccaneers is a trip to neighboring College of Charleston of the Southern Conference.

The 25 minute road trip for Charleston Southern (3-1) down I-26 seemed more like a home game as they used a big first half to coast their way to a 61-52 victory over the College of Charleston (2-3). It was a raucous, yet fun early season environment for both schools to play in, but in the end it was the visiting fans that left the happiest.

Junior point guard Jeremy Sexton had a nice night to lead CSU with 13 points, adding 4 rebounds and 3 assists. Also of note, junior forward Kenny Mitchell had a well-rounded 7 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists en route to the Buccaneers third victory of the season.

                              A. Wiggans had a fantastic 17 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals and a block in a losing effort for College of Charleston.

Up next for CSU is a home game against Mercer of the Atlantic Sun Conference.
