Good to see you back in the swing of things Rob!

Forgot how cool the weekly College Hoops show was. Would love for 2k to put that into NBA 2k next year

Thanks Dom! yeah bro these weekly recap shows were so next level. I feel like they could easily add it into 2K, since they already have the pregame shows and such with Shaq, Kenny, and Ernie. I really hope they add Charles eventually haha. Thanks for checking in bro.

Such a dominant start to the year! It's a pity y'all aren't ranked in the AP Poll yet.

Maybe no love from the AP Poll but great t see you rising in the Mid-Major poll! Love getting those explosions from a bench player like you did with Karangwa. Sometimes I enjoy those unexpected massive games from a reserve than my star player. Nice to see Tigert still building off his solid freshman campaign. Hopefully the recruiting trail is kind to you.

Lopaka - you're killing me my man! I don't really have time for this game but I'm making plans to dust off the 360 when I'm on April break in a couple weeks and give this game yet another go. It's just so damn good!

Dusted off this game and have been playing it in the limited spare time I have in between naps and feeding of my newborn haha. I’ve been simming a lot, and watching CPUvsCPU for big games.

Currently in the year 2026 or 2027, and finally won my first National Championship in my third try.

My last update of this thread was the final season for Coach Royal with UC Riverside. I would move on to the WAC where he took control of the Nevada Wolf Pack. Spent four seasons there before moving on to coach at Wake Forest. Spent another four seasons there and finally had success in the Big Dance, making my first appearance in the National Championship. Roy would then fill the vacancy at Louisville after coach Petino retired. Took over a very talented roster and made it all the way to the championship in the first year there, but fell short against West Virginia. Finally won it all after I believe my fifth season there. After the following season, decided it was time to move on as their was an opening for Kansas after Bill Self retired. Coach Roy is nearly maxed out attribute wise and just recently hit 500 career wins.

Just wanted to update you guys! Just wish I had the time to go back to my normal updates. Maybe one day haha

I love how CHoops holds up and is fun all these years later. The depth of the legacy mode and the difficulty makes it so great. You definitely made it further than I ever did (~10 years, 3 teams).

Yeah man, this game was so ahead of its time, it has aged very well.

As for this thread, I have decided to go back to my save file when I was still at UCR, and I will play through my career again. I’m going to be simming most of my games but will watch CPUvsCPU for tournament games. Unfortunately I won’t be able to make any graphics, so expect mostly text reporting, a similar format to what some of the awesome chisers such as superjames, focer4, xanax and baccVols are doing.

#3 Seed in West Regional of NCAA Tournament

                              The Rise of Royal’s Riverside

Head coach Rob Royal is quickly becoming one of the most sought-after coaches if he were to become available in the coaching carousel, after turning UC Riverside into a Big West powerhouse.

During his five seasons he has led the Highlanders to a 103-56 record, which includes 2 regular season Big West Championships, 4 Big West Tournament Championships, and 4 NCAA Tournament bids.

Although they were eliminated in the first round of their first three appearances, they finally took a step forward this year, becoming this season’s Cinderella story and advancing all the way to the Elite Eight before losing to #1 seeded and eventual National Champions, North Carolina.

“What a wild ride that was,” said senior center Mensah Tobias, who started in all four seasons of his career with UCR. “I couldn’t have asked for a better ending to what was an amazing college experience, and it wouldn’t have been so without coach (Royal).”

Following the first 30-win season of Rob Royal’s coaching career, it is safe to say that there will be some big programs knocking on his door, but will he answer?
