That was a tough loss, especially seeing how Embiid got punked. Only 9 points? From the SuperStar? That's disappearing in the Finals LeBron style against the Mavs ... that's a tough one to stomach.


Down 2-0, back to back losses on your homefloor, it's put up or shut up time in Game 3. Embiid needs to step up, the team needs to regroup, else they can kiss their season goodbye.

Yea I needed game 2 for sure even though I can still come back the margin for error is now gone. I had a comfortable lead and Dennis just went on a run.

ECF Hawks Game 3 - Has Anyone Seen Embiid ?

The sixers as expected take game 3 and get back in the series setting up a must game 4. The hawks once again went old school only taking 8 three pointers. If you look close at the team stats you will see how even the game was in just about every area.

The big men duo for the hawks again out played the 76ers as Embiid was beyond awful ended with 4 points, 5 rebounds on 2 of 13 shooting. Bol picked up the slack with a near 20-20 game while Ben was a little off from the level he has been at. Josh Jackson was huge in the game scoring 21 points and shooting 5 of 8 from 3.

Whew, close win. Bench did big numbers but Embiid is still MIA ... is it time to consider putting someone else in and playing Embiid off the bench?



With the amount of big-man depth Philly has, it's a conversation. But if you bench him it's gonna be hard for Embiid to live that down ... and maybe it makes him want out. Lots of questions.

Yea with Embiid being in the last year of his contract he picked a bad time to disappear. I have no clue how I would handle the situation if I was doing another year since I'm up against the hard cap and have to pay him and Bol. I don't think I will do anything drastic for this series and wait for a potential easier matchup for him in the finals.


AD and Ayton are so tough on the glass I don't think I can go small against this team. I will post games 4 and 5 soon but I may look into mixing things up for game 6 and see if that gets him going.

ECF Hawks Game 4 - Bol Picks Up Embiid Again

Josh Jackson hit a 3 to give the 76ers a 11 point lead with 8:31 in the 2nd quarter. The Hawks came back right after that to take a 7 point lead at halftime. The 3rd quarter was all Philly as they ended the quarter with a 10 point lead. The bench played great in the 3rd quarter and Philly didn't look back in the 4th to tie the series at 2.

The game ball has to go to the 76ers bench out scoring Atlanta 46 to 18. Another huge reason for the easy win was rebounds being +13 as well as fast break points +20. Ayton was a monster once again finishing with 20 and 20 and AD wasn't far behind him. The 76ers shoot a little to many 3's in the end it didn't matter. Embiid was a little better in this one still he only shoot 3 of 11. Bol picked up the slack again with 16 points, 20 rebounds, 4 assist, 3 blocks and hit 2 of 4 from deep. Ben was again just decent and will have to cut back on his turnovers.

ECF Hawks Game 5 - Bol Says I Got This

The 76ers went into the 4th quarter down 1 point so still anyone's game. The Hawks had a 2 point lead with 5:37 to go when Ayton fouled out. Fultz finds Bol on the alley oop to to give them a 4 point lead with under 3 minutes to play. Embiid on the other end gets a crazy block / steal and after a Ben basket made it 6 points with 2:37 to go that was pretty much the end of it.

The 76ers went back to shooting less 3's in this game only taking 14. The hawks destroyed the Offense glass 18 to 3. It was a mixed bag for Embiid he only took 6 shots and hit 3 of them and came up with a huge play on defense. When you look at his final stats it 9 and 14 he has had a series to forget. Bol continues to have his legend grow this time doing it with points scoring 26 and added 6 blocks.

The 76ers have now won 3 in a row and are back to being the heavy favorites to get to a 3rd straight finals

yea back in this now thank goodness I have put to much time into this to have it end without a title. I will likely sim game 6 so ill be crossing my fingers on that one

ECF Hawks Game 6 - Bol's Legend Grows Again

Fultz tied the game with a 3 pointer with well under 2 minutes to go in the 4th. Bol gets a steal on a in bound pass and the 76ers failed to score on the other end. Bol gets a block with 40 seconds to go with the game still tied this was his 6th of the night. A Bol layup off a Ben pass and the 76ers take a 2 point lead with 31 seconds to go. Schroder got fouled on the other end and missed the 2nd FT and of course Bol grabs it. Samanic comes into the game as he is the teams best foul shooter he hits both for a 4 point lead. The game ends with a hawks back court violation and the 76ers have won 4 games In a row to beat the Hawks.

The 76ers survive another horrible night shoot FT's and being out rebounded. It was a block party as a crazy +11. Bol Bol again takes over the game with 18 points, 16 rebounds and 6 blocks. This was a low scoring game as nobody scored over 20 except for the Hawks Dan Little. It will be a rematch in the finals 76ers vs Warriors.

This stat line for Bol was just about all the CPU as I only jumped into the game the final few minutes. I was glad to avoid game 7 so lucky to be able to avoid that. I really wanted the Warriors as I want to face and hopefully beat the best. I will have a short article up soon about the big man matchup.

Embiid Should Bounce Back Against Warriors

The Warriors have a team built on Guards with Curry, Durant and now Chris Paul. The results are obviously working as Curry has won 6 NBA titles. The problem is bigs and that got a whole lot worse with the only legit Center they have on the roster Austin Wiley (83 ovr ) getting hurt in the WCF. He will miss the entire NBA finals and now the Warriors have a gaping hole at Center which is the strength of the 76ers. Draymond Green and Looney are the starting PF/ C on the roster the problem Green is 6'7 and Looney is 6'9 while Bol and Embiid are over 7 foot. Bryce Johnson will join the rotation as a backup C, but he is really a PF at 6'9. Brock Lopez is a shell of his former self and isn't expected to play. Former 76ers Ed Tavares is 7'3 and while he is a liability on offense has the size to matchup with Embiid and Bol and he can rebound and block shots. Green isn't the player he once was and I don't see how being 7 inches shorter then Bol he will be able to stop him from getting rebounds. When you let the 76ers control the boards and then Ben Simmons starts the fast break this team is near impossible to beat.

Its been a brutal playoff run for Embiid as he has faced the best 3 defense C's in the NBA in a row. He has to be licking his chops as Kevin Looney not known for his defense will be guarding him. We expect the 76ers to go to Embiid early in game 1 and get his confidence back up. If the 76ers can win the title nobody will remember anything that happen in the first 3 rounds just that trusting the process finally paid off with a championship

WHOA, the Warriors lost their only true big? That could be huge (pun intended). Embiid and your bigs should feast, but Draymond is not a pushover ... Looney, though, is very much someone I'd pick on as often as possible. Whomever gets that matchup should be near unstoppable.
