Following the NBA: A Deep Dive

    MyLeague
    All 30 Teams
    Starting from the 17-18 season
    CPU vs CPU Only

This will be a deep dive following the NBA season and it's future. Nothing will be user controlled, only reported. This is inspired by SIMWORLD's great work that they do every year, and I think it will be interesting to see how both of our leagues play out in the future.

The Golden Warriors look to repeat as they top the NBA.COM Power Rankings.

The Warriors earned home-court advantage throughout the 2017 playoffs, thanks to a 2016–17 regular season record of 67–15. They were the first team in NBA playoff history to start 12–0, defeating in order the Trail Blazers, the Jazz, and the Spurs. The 2017 Finals once again pitted the Warriors against the Cavaliers, becoming the first time in NBA history that two teams met in the Finals for three consecutive years. The Warriors won the championship after going 4–1 in the Finals, and their 16–1 playoff record garnered the best winning percentage (.941) in NBA playoffs history.

Kyrie Irving, who had demanded a trade in the offseason, was on the losing end tonight, scoring 33 points of his own.

Warriors Score 45 in 4th Down 15 to Steal Victory From Houston, 130-129

The Rockets got a little too comfortable heading into the 4th quarter, as they had a 15 point lead on the defending champion Golden State Warriors. The Warriors would leave the Rockets' heads spinning as the Warriors would explode, scoring 45 points in the 4th quarter alone to get the come from behind win. The Rockets would try to regain their lead, but would run out of time as Steph Curry hit a game sealing 3 with less than 10 seconds left on the clock.

"It felt good to come from behind and get the win, we really earned this one" said Steph Curry.

Steph has 35 points, with 15 coming from behind the arc. Klay Thompson had 26, and Kevin Durant had 24. Durant also had 12 rebounds.

Chris Paul of the Rockets did have the NBA's first triple double tonight, with 21 points, 11 rebounds, and 11 assists. When asked about how he felt about the stat line, he was heard saying "All the matters is the numbers on the scoreboard. Giving up that many points in the 4th is inexcusable. We can't get comfortable against a team that can really turn it on when they have to."

James Harden also recorded a double double, with 35 points and 14 assists on the night.

Are the 76ers Ready To Contend?

Is The Process reaching its climax? If they play every game like tonight's, it sure looks that way. The 76ers marched into DC and beat the Wizards by 27. Their biggest lead of the game was 30. Infact, they held the Wizards (at home, mind you) to just 13 points in the 3rd quarter.

"It's a great way to start the year!" An excited Joel Embiid exclaimed. "Let's keep the momentum rolling!" Embiid had 17 points in 30 minutes of play.

Wizard's star John Wall was nowhere to be found on the court tonight, as he scored just 9 points, 3 coming from the line, in 34 minutes of play. The Wizards only managed to score 36 points in the 2nd half of play, which included a 4th quarter that was essentially mop up duty.

Demar DeRozan was the hero that the Raptor's needed tonight, as he hit the go ahead bucket from just inside the arc with 2 seconds left on the clock tonight in overtime. DeRozan also drove to the rim and was able to tie the game in regulation which ended up sending the game into OT. He finished with 38 points on the night.
