With the 2019 calendar year coming to an end, the Toronto Raptors find themselves sitting in the fourth place spot in the Eastern Conference standings with a 22-12 record, trailing the 26-9 Milwaukee Bucks by 3.5 games for first place.
No doubt the Raptors are still adjusting to the departure of Kawhi Leonard, with Kyle Lowry shouldering much of the offensive burden thus far. The veteran floor general is averaging just under 20 point per game (19.9 PPG) and leads the team in assists by a large margin (8.0 APG) while playing over 30 minutes per game.
Pascal Siakam has cooled off after a hot start to the season, and now averages 19.0 PPG and 9.0 RPG. Last season's Most Improve Player, Siakam has taken his rebounding to a new level, controlling much of the defensive glass. The Raptors' stellar defense this season can largely be attested to Siakam's hustle plays in their own end.
Going forward, both Fred VanVleet and OG Anunoby are going to have to step up their level of play. Lowry and Siakam will only be able to shoulder the load for so long, and with the anticipation of another deep playoff run, the Raptors should look to rest their stars at every chance they get.Last edited by Bluejaysfan65; 03-18-2020, 09:24 PM.Comment

- The Houston Rockets hired Michael Stauffer as the team's new head coach.
Up Next: Trail Blazers (20-17) @ Raptors (24-12)
The Portland Trail Blazer make a rare trip north of the border as they head to Toronto to take on the Raptors in a Tuesday night matchup. Damian Lillard continues his strong play for the Trail Blazers, as he is averaging 30.3 PPG to go along with 6.4 APG, making a strong case for the most underestimated player in the NBA.
The Raptors are coming off a short two game road trip that saw the club pick up wins over the Miami Heat and Brooklyn Nets while sliding into a tie for second in the Eastern Conference. They'll look to extend their win streak to five games against Portland. Trevor Ariza and Hassan Whiteside are both listed as questionable for the Trail Blazers. Ariza continues to deal with a high ankle sprain while Whiteside battles bruised ribs.Comment

Like how this is shaping up now. Raps in a good solid spot in the East. How do you find Siakam to play with?
6 Players in double figures scoring, must be fun to play with!

Re: We The North | Toronto Raptors (NBA 2K20)
Thanks! Lillard and McCollum are always a tough duo to guard.
6 players in double digit scoring so far this season, but the real blessing is being able to have two of them come off the bench!Comment

Hot First Half Leads Raptors To Win Over Trail Blazers
Fred VanVleet was on fire from tip-off to final buzzer, tossing up a casual 33 points while shooting a red-hot 4-for-5 from beyond the arc. The Raptors would score 70 points in the first half enroute to a 125-92 win over the Trail Blazers.

The Toronto Raptors look to continue their winning ways on the road against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Wednesday night. The Thunder currently hold a 20-20 record, and sit just outside the Western Conference playoff picture as they chase the 21-17 San Antonio Spurs for the eighth and final playoff seed.
The Thunder will be without point guard Chris Paul, who suffered a season ending ruptured left achilles. Center Nerlens Noel may also miss the game after being listed as questionable. He is day-to-day with a sore left hand.Comment

The Atlanta Hawks welcome the Toronto Raptors into town for a Sunday afternoon matchup as they look to snap the Raptors' ten game win streak. The Hawks themselves sit in the sixth spot in the Eastern Conference standings with a 21-20 record as they continue to fight to secure a playoff berth.
Trae Young has shown that the Hawks made the right decision to draft him with the fifth pick in the 2018 draft, as the offensively talented guard is averaging a team-best 29.3 points per game while showcasing his playmaking ability night in and night out, as exhibited by his 6.1 assists per game. The addition of Clint Capela gives the Hawks an interior presence, and they'll be an underdog team to watch out for throughout the rest of the season and playoffs.Comment
