Dallas' Luka Doncic was able to edge past Golden State's Steph Curry and Atlanta's Trae Young to win the Three-Point Contest

Oklahoma City's Terrence Ferguson came out as the shocking winner of the Dunk Contest over Utah's Donovan Mitchell and New Orleans' favorite Zion Williamson

Ouch, Knicks are struggling -- Hezonja is at least putting in buckets off the bench, but it's clear the team has a serious lack of firepower. Denver's record is surprisingly bad, despite fewer injuries, but at least you won your next three after. A late seasons playoff run could be in play if you get Carter or Barrett back.

Ahead of 1st official meeting with LeBron James, Carter is only eyeing a playoff spot

                  Mar. 30, 2021 | Associated Press

NEW YORK, NY - The New York Knicks had just finished dismantling the Denver Nuggets by 20 points on Saturday - two days after taking down the league-leading Boston Celtics - when they realized who was next up on the schedule: LeBron James.

The second meeting between the two teams (James dropped 38 points in a 110-88 spanking of the Adonis Carter-less Knicks) would see the first overall pick and the runaway favorite for Rookie of the Year Adonis Carter take on the reigning MVP and defending champions.

James had been rather silent leading up the matchup, not having commented on the superstar season the 20-year old Duke product has been having, considering he's not too far removed from breaking Carmelo Anthony's record for most points in a game by a New York Knick with 64 points.

"He's incredible, and he obviously reminds me of a young me, but a lot better at that age" James commented the morning after Carter's near-victory against the Portland Trail Blazers.

The New York Knicks, having sat as low as 14th in the Eastern Conference, are currently sitting in ninth place in the conference - battling the likes of the Indiana Pacers and the Orlando Magic for that final playoff spot with 13 games remaining in the season.

"That's honestly all I'm focused on," Carter commented ahead of his matchup with the LA Lakers. "It's easy to get caught up in the media frenzy of playing that team, but for us over here - it's another game we need to win to get to that top eight."

Carter had been on record saying a playoff spot is what matters most to him this season - more than Rookie of the Year, or any All-NBA team placements.

"I have a lot more than 82 games in me this season - we want that experience and opportunity to go to the playoffs and challenge for the championship. I'm locked in."

Carter has his head in the right place, the Knicks are tantalizingly close to a playoff spot ... but they'll need an epic win streak and some luck to get there. LeBron is going to be a hard matchup for the young Carter. The rest of the Lakers team is just better than the Knicks roster right now.

                      Announcement:

This chise is tentatively over. Unfortunately, I got 2k20 off of Xbox Game Pass, and it was recently taken off. With 2k21 two days away, it makes the most sense to just start anew. This could return once that 2k20 price-drop comes, but for now, we'll have to shelf this.

Apologies to those who were following along, but keep a lookout for the next one.

Alas, Adonis, we knew you for too little a time ... hoping that 2K20 price drop hits soon. I don't feel 2K21 is different enough to warrant a buy in the current gen and with the whole schedule off and offseason things yet to be implemented, it's a big question mark in my mind if 2K21 has a real chance to be good.

It's one big question mark, but I usually give myself two of the big games of the year with my budget and I've dedicated myself to Mamba Forever Edition and NHL 21, so I'm hoping 2k has all their ducks in a row.

Thanks for checking in, man. I'm a big fan of your work.

Adonis would've revived the Center positon as the Knicks employ their all center line up of

                            PG: Mitchell Robinson
                            SG: Andre Drummond
                            SF: James Wiseman
                            PF: Bismack Biyombo
                            C: Adonis Carter

Seven straight titles ensued as no team could grab a single rebound against the knicks
