Tovarich: I guess all you can do is throw your arms up in the air at that kind of 3-point shooting. We tried doubling some of the more insanely hot 3-point shooters, but everyone guard and SF on the roster was on fire lol. Guarding them all straight up did nothing. That has to be one of the all-time great 3-point shooting percentages with a Final Four on the line.
Reporter: How much further do you think this team could have gone?
Tovarich: Duke or UNLV would have been a tall task, but we ran into a buzzsaw first.
Reporter: How were you feeling about the start?
Tovarich: It was slow for both teams, slower for them even than us. We were up 6-0 after about 3 1/2 minutes I think, but Fleming started 0-4. We missed too many chances. You knew it would come back to bite us. But they were either just waiting to get warmed up or were sandbagging and then they just turn it on and drain 3 after 3.
Reporter: What do you think you could have tried differently?
Tovarich: We doubled Lucas. I knew he wasn't going to miss, so I figure we may as well give someone else a try. We can't double them all. They were shooting contested 3's and making them all, so zone wasn't going to help. I don't know. We were even with 90 seconds to go before they hit a couple 3's and we missed every shot we took. They finished and we didn't.
Reporter: Does this diminish the overall season?
Tovarich: It was still a tremendous season. We'll try a harder schedule next year though. We're past beating up on too many of these small schools, but no matter what, it's rough to know you had a chance to get to a Final Four and all you had to do was beat New Hampshire to do it and they played out of their minds and ended your season. That's a chance you may never get again. It's hard to say what the ceiling for our program is so every chance like this is one you have to seize and we couldn't. Can Crandle shoot? Could Bullicer start at SG? Barber-Fleming pick-and-roll work well?
