Re: Oregon Ducks
Ducks Beat Depleted Sun Devils
Arizona State Injuries Lead to Loss
Tempe, AZ- The Arizona State Sun Devils were slated to be one of the Pac-10's best teams, but injuries and suspensions beg to differ. Tight End Zach Miller is out with an injury, MLB Dale Robinson is also out with an injury. Andrew Walter's successor Sam Keller was suspended and did not play in the game against Oregon. All these factors led to Oregon beating Arizona State, had ASU been completely healthy it probably would have been a different story. Kellen Clemens led the Ducks, completing 15 of 27 passes for 234 yards and a 3 touchdowns. With Jonathan Stewart suspended, Terrence Whitehead carried more of the load, rushing 20 times for 153 yards and a touchdown. Demetrius Williams had his first big game of the year, on his first reception he ran an 11 yard out route, beat his man and was gone 62 yards for the score. He finished with 4 receptions for 77 yards and 2 touchdowns. The Ducks secondary gave up 3 touchdowns, but they held All-American wide receiver Derek Hagan to only 3 receptions for 64 yards and a touchdown. The Ducks beat Arizona State, 31-21.

Re: Oregon Ducks
Thriller in Autzen
Incredible Ending to Washington/Oregon Game
Eugene, OR- Both teams in this game came in undefeated, the 5-0 #25 Washington Huskies and the 6-0 #8 Oregon Ducks. Many expected the game to be a blowout for Oregon, but the game was much closer then expected. It was a very windy day in Eugene, with winds reaching up to 25 mph, but that didn't stop each team from airing it out. Kellen Clemens had a great game in the first half completing close to 80% of his passes, but he completely crumbled in the second half. Oregon was in complete control after one half, up 17-7 at the break. The third quarter was scoreless and then the fourth quarter turned into an all out shootout. Washington running back Kenny James started the fourth quarter off with a touchdown, and Evan Knudson missed the extra point. Kenny James got another touchdown after a Kellen Clemens interception. Paul Martinez kicked a 19 yard field goal after a great 3 play goalline stand for Washington, the game was now tied at 20. Terrence Whitehead scored with only 20 seconds left to put the game away, oh so the crowd thought. Casey Paus was sacked on two plays back to back, and was backed up to his own 6 on 3rd and 24 with 10 seconds on the clock. His target was Sonny Shackelford who caught the ball after about 12 yards but true freshman Willie Glasper decided to DIVE for an interception, 94 yards later, the game was within a point. Now came the extra point for Evan Knudson, with 20 mph winds blowing and missed the kick wide right and the Oregon Ducks had hung on to win against the Huskies, 27-26.

First Quarter- Oregon, 9 yard pass from Clemens to Colvin (XP Good); 4:32
