Re: NBA 2K3 Franchise - Wizards

The Washington Wizards got a blowout victory against the Raptors 83-62 behind 39 points for Jerry Stackhouse and 19 for MJ. The high schorer and the only one doing anything for TOronto was Carter who had 25. The Game was close (and very low scoring) until the 4th quarter when the Wizards were able to blow it open.

Their next game is against the Orlando Majic.

Injury Note - Christian Laetnerr has recovered from a ankle sprain that kept him out for 5 days, and will be activated today. Dion Glover will be put on IR in his place.

The Wizards add another victory by defeating the Majic 77-66 in a low scoring game. The game was close going into the final period of play but the Majic's poor shooting (.363 for the game) and the abundance of defensive rebound by the Wizards (40) proved to be too much of a hurdle even for T-Mac's 28 points. The only other player for the Majic to score in double figures was Horace Grant who had 10 points and was one rebound away from a double-double.

The WIzards were led in scoring by Jerry Stackhouse (17) and Michael Jordan (16) and were led in rebounding by Kwame Brown (10), Christian Laetnerr (9), and P.J. Brown and Brendan Haywood (8 each).

The win improves the Wizards record to 34-5 and next up is a home game against the Philadelphia 76ers.

Note : Chris Gatling was put on the disabled list and Dell Curry was brought up before tip off. Curry played only 2 minutes and managed to get himself on the stat sheet with 1 rebound.
