        First Half

        Goodman makes 1 of 2 free throws then after Thompson sinks a jumper, Bright cans 1 of 2 free throws. Jacobson drains two free throws and a jumper then Badu buries a hook to cut Army's lead to four, 7-3, with 15:00 remaining. Thompson hits a 3pter and Bey lays in a rebound then after Goodman makes 1 of 2 free throws, Badu tips in a rebound. Zastoupil puts in a layup and Thompson cans 1 of 2 free throws to give the Black Knights an 11 point lead, 16-5, halfway through the first half. Green buries a jumper then after Langhurst sinks a couple of jumpers, Jacobson puts in a layup. Bright drains a jumper then after Viegas makes 1 of 2 free throws, Noel tips in a rebound.             If I were coaching against your team, Jacobson would be double-teamed for the entire game. Are you seeing this much from your opponents?

              Rarely. Sometimes I do see the teams play tighter onball defense, but that changes from game to game. The defenses have been either 2-3 zone or man-to-man. It could be that his defender's onball defense is not that good but that too changes from game to game.

                Jacobson makes 1 of 2 free throws then after Hardy hits a 3pter, Ferris converts a 3-point play. Nicholas puts in a layup to give Savannah State the lead, 5-4, with 15:00 remaining. Jacobson and Goodman each put in layups then Hardy drops in a layup. Bey and Jacobson both sink jumpers to give Army a five point lead, 12-7, halfway through the opening half. Jacobson sinks a jumper then after Ferris makes two free throws, Hardy nails a 3pter. Ferris cans 1 of 2 free throws then after Richard drains two free throws, Richard buries a jumper as the Black Knights build the lead to 11, 21-10, with just under 5:00 left. Zastoupil drains a runner then after Jacobson makes two free throws, Robinson sinks a jumper. Zastoupil cans 1 of 2 free throws then after Goodman puts in a layup, Ogletree banks in a jumper.                       Thanks, that's interesting. Sometimes I think I use the double-team too often, as it doesn't take the opponent long to adjust to it. I'm going to try it again in my next game against Mizzou, but it may be the last game if it fails again.

                          Watch the cpu in the next few games and see if they assign a different player to guard your top scorer other than that team's player in the same position. The cpu may also have a different defender because the zones sometimes use man-to-man principals (like Bill Raftery says) and the defenders guarding the players may change that way. They also may change because of screens.

                            Goodman puts in a layup then after Nabors sinks a short jumper, Zastoupil and Floyd trade layups. Ferris hits a 3pter then Nabors drops in a layup to pull Winston-Salem State within one, 7-6, with 15:00 remaining. Bey makes two free throws then after Fisher hits a 3pter to tie the game, Bey converts a 3-point play. Bey cans 1 of 2 free throws then after Fisher buries a jumper, Richard puts in a layup. Ferris makes two free throws then after George tips in his own missed shot, Viegas banks in a jumper as Army is on an 8-0 run and lead by ten, 21-11, halfway through the first half. Nance and Goodman trade layups then Zastoupil and Nance trade hooks. Richard tips in a rebound then after George puts in a layup, Nance sinks another hook. Richard makes two free throws then Conklin drains a jumper to cut the Black Knights' lead to 12, 31-19, with 5:00 left.
