i havent been doing a Reds page since the first week in the 07 game. i gave up on them due to their pitching. im currently playing 08 not 07. thus another reason why this thread after this season has to be retired.

if you look at my page and my standings you will see how the reds are doing. other than that i dont really know what you are wanting from me at this moment.

ok here is the situation. played the final game of the Rangers series last night/this morning. did a box score and scoring summary for it as well. decided to go ahead and sim through my day off so that i could simcast the Yankee/Blue Jay game.

so here is the situation updated. i will not be dropping the write up for the game i just played and did the box score for. however i will be doing a write up sorta previewing the final weekend of the season.

not just for me or my team but for every key series left in my franchise. should be fun and hopefully get you all into my final weekend of the season. there is still a great deal that has yet to be decided.

NL East

now im going to go get coffee and get things rolling so ill be back later once the weekend preview is done and ready for your reading pleasure.

MLB final weekend update!!!

here it is the final preview of the 2008 season. with just three games to be played all across the baseball landscape there is still lots that has to be decided. i cover it all in this one folks. any team that has a shot or prayer of making it to the post season is covered.

also side bar has been updated (standings) it is a long one indeed but hopefully worth the read.

Well, I guess that's it huh? I really thought you'd make the playoffs, but I don't see the Yankees losing out. Winning 90+ games usually gets you in, but the AL is just so dominant. I guess you never know though. It's been a great read, looking forward to your '09 season.

thanks man, yeah my bad month of August and not being able to beat the Angels really hurt me this year, but there are still two games to play... anything is possible right???

ok with one game left in the season everything in the AL is sewn up. over in the NL well that is another story. going into the final game of the 2008 season there will be a chance at having two three way ties in both the NL Central and the NL wild card race. both Chicago and St Louis are one back back in each of those races.

to say that this is one of the most interesting possible finishes to any season i have ever played is vastly true. i may not be involved in any of it but it is still a great thing to see.

Ok since im not in the post season for the first time in my life in any game ever i decided to do little bit of a post season preview. give you a little how they got there and the match ups in the first round and a team by team injury report.

I'm just throwing this out there, because I like the fact it has Reds in the thread title, but I wish I could give up on the real life Cincinnati Reds like you did here.

im always wanting to get into a NL team and maybe 09 will be that year i do that. i may not do a dm page on them but i might do somethnig here.. NO PROMISES but i might do one for an NL team and it could even be the reds. since moving here to Indiana in 2006 from northeren california ive really started to like the reds. so if i had to choose one team to be as a NL team it would be the Reds. the A's will always be my team but im starting to really get into the reds and what they are trying to do with their youth movement etc.

as to why i did was just pure and simple frustration as i was new to the game and wasnt familar enough to the team (reds) to have the patience to plaly with them. was it immature of me to just stop playing with them instead of just quiting? yes it was, do i regret doing it... yes and no... cause at that time i dont think i was quite ready to run a two team franchise, but now that ive played enough of this game to really get a feel for it etc. im def ready to run a two team chise.. and the reds are a good young team that DESERVE to improve and have a chance at the post season.

2008 Post Season underway!!

Day one of the post season is here, and there is no sign of my A's. whatever could have happened. i go from owning the world series trophy back with asb 05 here on dm to going to mvp 05 and not making the world series, then with the show 07 not making the ALCS. now in mlb the show 08 i dont even make the playoffs. isn't this supposed to happen opposite of how it did to me. arent i supposed to PRO-gress instead of DE-gress?

oh well anyway day one of the post season is up for you to read and enjoy. hope it is good enough to keep you awake through it.

any and all feedback and comments (positive and constructive and otherwise) are always welcome and appreciated.

I've decided that since I'm so far behind in my post season/off season stuff that im just going to do a all in one post season wrap up. it will be basiic and simple but this way i can move on to the off season my next time off (Saturday-Tuesday)

i just want to get this ready to start st as soon as i can so that i can get started on my second season as soon as i can. so tonight (my last night off) i will be putting this out.

again it will be bare bones compared to my last day one update. so im going to go get it done so i can put it out.

i just realized that doing that style update is burn out central for me. it took more out of me than i thought it would. dont get me wrong at the time of doing it, it felt great and all that.

however, when i went to start the next days installment, it just felt it was going to be stale and just basically the same thing as the day before with different scores.

you all (my devoted readers) deserve to have more than that. i will admit I'm not the most (nor near the best) writer on DM. i have passion for the game and when i write from my first person pov after a game that I've played i can get those emotions across most of the time.

so while im not going to be doing a day by day break down and this will be just one large score summary of sorts for the entire post season i really hope you all still appreciate it and know that at least you got this and not nothing at all.

I will be bringing you all the award winners probably in the same format as i will be doing this post season thing. just names and stats. i also feel that i will be best suited to be making a change at manager (hint hint wink wink) for this chise.

see you all when i make the announcement of the latest update.
