St. Petersburg, FL- The Tampa Bay Devil Tays enter the 2007 season looking to emerge from the depths pf the AL East. The starting rotation is anchored by Scott Kazmir, the young talented left-hander. Also in the rotation is rookie James Shields. The bullpen appears to be the weak part of the rotation, and will have to worked on throughout the season.

The bats on this team seems to be below average. Of course, there's centerfielder Rocco Baldeli, left fielder Carl Crawford, 2nd baseman Jorge Cantu, designated hitter Johny Gomes, and rookie right fielder Delmon Young, but outside of them, the lineup is quite weak. Ibarra, a rookie from Japan who will bat 6th, has the potential to be good.

    Let the games begin!

Devil Rays record entering today's game- 0-3

            Massacure in Tampa

            Toronto Blue Jays- 1 7 0 0 1 3 3 4 1- 20/23/1
            Tampa Bay Devil Rays- 0 0 0 2 0 2 1 2 1- 8/9/1

            Streak- Lost 4

            Devil Rays' record now 0-4.

Notes: The Toronto Blue Jays hit 13 homeruns in today's ballgame. That MUST be a Major League record. I couldn't stop them from hitting my pitchers, especially the bullpen whcih is TERRIBLE. I have a feeling it's going to be a long season.

You're right. It is a record. The previous most was also Toronto in 1987 against the O's.

That's the reason I couldn't play on All-Star out of the box. It's like every hitter is Vlad Guerrero with Big Papi power. They'll hit a ball a foot out of the strikezone for a home run no problem.

Tough start to the season. But I'm with you and HH and I like to take terrible teams (I always pick the Devil Rays for baseball) and see what you can do with them. Good luck and I'll be following.

Yeah, I was doing one with the Red Sox, but when it was erased I figured it would be more fun to play as a terrible team (I also like the D-Rays). I am having a lot of fun playing this Devil Rays dynasty, a lot more fun than my Red Sox dynasty. I enjoy it because no game is a sure win, every game is a tough game. Although, I must say, I can't wait to play a team like the Texas Rangers or the Kansas City Royals where I can hopefully pick up a few wins.

Looks good, hope you make it all the way through 162. I've played about 50 games with the Brewers and I think I'm about worn out with 2k7. And I feel you with the HRs I got pounded some games, without the perfect sliders the CPU can kill you thats for sure.
