Re: Week 8- Southern Mississippi Eagles (2-4) @ Marshall Thundering Herd (3-3)
Yeah, that's their motto. When I lived in Hurricane, WV last year (By the way, Hurricane is about 35 minutes to the East of Huntington), they were advertising the "We Are Marshall" movie all the time on TV. I need to see that movie. I think it comes out on HBO pretty soon, so I'll probably see it then. It's supposed to be pretty good.Comment

BY THE NUMBERS... GAME BALL... Marshall 0 6 7 15 28 UCF 7 7 14 7 35 Kevin Smith
26 car., 104 yds., 2 TDs
Yet another game that went down to the wire. Unforunately for us, we were on the losing end of this one. Bernie Morris, who threw 4 interceptions, and our entire offense struggled withour runningback Chubb Small. Our running game was non-existant forcing us to pass the ball 52 times. With 21 seconds left, we scored the tying touhdown. With the score tied at 28, we kicked the ball off. Then, UCF's Burnett returned the kickoff 93 yards for the touchdown and we lost the game. We fall to 4-5 overall and 2-3 in Conference USA play following this loss.

Week 11- East Carolina Pirates (0-10) (0-6) @ Marshall Thundering Herd (4-5) (2-3)
BY THE NUMBERS... GAME BALL... East Carolina 0 7 3 6 16 Marshall 0 7 3 6 26 Bernie Morris
28-44, 342 yds., 2 TDs
We got an easy challenge this week in winless East Carolina and we came out with an unimpressive 26-16 win. I think we could have played better, but a win is a win, and I'll take it. Bernie Morris bounced back today, throwing for 342 yards and 2 touchdowns, and throwing no interceptions (He had thrown 9 in the last 2 games). We did not turn the ball over once, but it seemed once we got into field goal range, our offense left us, and, as a result, we had to settle for 4 field goals. Hopefully, we can do better than that next week.

Not much went right in this one. It was a tight defensive 6-3 game until 31 seconds left in the 1st half, then we absolutely fell apart. We gave up 41 unanswered points to the Cougars and lost 54-7 due to it. We fall to 5-6 (3-4).

Re: "We Are Marshall!" (NCAA 08)
Ouch that loss hurt, bowl chances may have been lost, hopefully if you don't make a bowl you can get the recruiting class you need. Maybe a Randy Moss Jr? I think you should make a Randy Moss Junior and recruiting him in about 10 years or so, lol. Do you have any commits yet?Comment

Week 13- UAB Blazers (5-6) @ Marshall Thundering Herd (5-6)
BY THE NUMBERS... GAME BALL... UAB 0 10 0 0 10 Marshall 7 0 14 0 21 Bernie Morris
30-43, 318 yds., 3 TDs
Well, we finished out the season on a high note. A bowl seems unlikely, but stranger things have happened. As it stands, we'll finsish 6-6 (4-4). Bernie Morris, in his final game, played well, except he threw 4 interceptions. After struggling in the 1st half running the ball through the 1st 3 quarters, I put in Chubb Small, a junior, who was listed as "questionable" for the game. He only picked up 24 yards, however.
