    Re: Raptors drop third straight...

This losing streak is hurting you just a tad bit . .
I hope you can come out of it soon . .

I'm kinda glad you got rid of Alvin..-- whenever I play with TOR, he gets on my nerves too!

Nice pickup of Griffin, he will be good for your organization in the years to come.

This is a good journal, keep it coming!

        CHI @ TOR

The Windy City Bulls faceoff against the ailing Toronto Raptors, who have dropped 3 straight games.

Toronto would love to come out of their losing streak, and tonight is the perfect night to do it, playing against a young squad. However, the Bulls are a pretty decent defensive team, and will give any Eastern Conference team a run for their money. Whoever wins, it won't be an easy game.

Both teams were trading shots in the first half, and balanced scoring kept the Raptors in it, 49-44 at the half.
Although the thrid quarter was slow, and a bit messy, both teams were honest offensively. Meanwhile, Vince Carter Moochie Norris both caught fire and together, went on an 11-0 run, which resulted in Chi-Town calling a timeout.

By the fourth quarter, another shooting guard-duel existed. This time, it was Jalen Rose (32 points) against Carter, who finished with 30.

This game came down to the wire, like expected. With exactly 1 minute left in the game, Raptors down by 3, Vince Carter made a HUGE defensive play, taking a charge. This gave the Raptors 50 seconds to work, and Carter got in the lane and threw up a little jump-shot for 2. The Raptors, down by 1, made another key defensive stop, and with 19 seconds to score to win, Vince missed a short jumper in the lane, AD got the board, missed the dunk, but VC came to the rescue, picking up the ball and slamming it through, with authority. Raptors get the vital win, 97-96.

        Chicago STATS
        Jalen Rose - 32 points
        Tyson Chandler - 14 rebounds
        Eddy Curry - 13 points, 15 rebounds

        Toronto STATS
        Vince Carter - 30 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assist
        Moochie Norris - 16 points, 5 assist
        Eddie Griffin - 21 points, 6 rebounds
        Antonio Davis - 3 blocks, 21 REBOUNDS

        Next Game:
        Portland (10-6) @ Toronto (10-9)

                                POR @ TOR

After an important, vital win against the Chi-Town Bulls, the Raps host the Portland Weed Blazers. Portland's record stands 11-6.

This game was a rebounding battle from the start. Balanced scoring and extremely good defense took T.Dot up by 11 at half.

The Blazers never held the lead after the first half, and Toronto shot extremely well from the perimeter. When you don't defend, and you can't put the ball in the hoop, it's EXTREMELY hard to win.

                                Portland Traiblazers lose, 85-73.

                                Toronto STATS
                                Vince Carter - 32 points, 7 rebounds
                                Eddie Griffin - 13 points, 4 rebounds
                                Moochie Norris - 21 points, 6 assist
