Re: GJEM's Wyoming Cowboys: Rise From Mediocrity

I'm really losing motivation for playing or continuing a dynasty quick and I really don't want to but I really haven't found a team that has given me any interest but the teams that I have a choice of that would at least keep me going are

I know followers like when you keep a dynasty going over at least a couple of years but I can't really guarantee that this will last past the first or second year but what do you think?

I still haven't chosen where I'm going to go so I'm leaving that up to more opinions but I just got done with the highlight video and anxious to see what you think, I think it came out really well probably the best one so here it is.

Sorry for some of the picture montage coming out blurry the original isn't but unfortunately I had to use the low quality rendering so I could fit it within 100mb for Youtube to host.

                  Reporting

This just into the ESPN news room, National Championship winner and head coach of the Wyoming Cowboys Coach Garrett Mitchell has boarded a private jet at Laramie’s regional airport and is in route to meet with South Carolina athletic director Eric Hyman to discuss possibly becoming South Carolina’s new head football coach. Were going to now send it over now to ESPN Insider and college football analyst Kirk Herbstreit for more, Kirk, thanks Mike we have received word that South Carolina AD Eric Hyman is actively and aggressively pursuing Coach Mitchell to discuss becoming the next head football coach of the South Carolina Gamecocks next season and is willing to pay big time money to make that happen. Word out of Coach Mitchell’s camp is that he is very interested in hearing what Mr. Hyman has to say and if everything works out and all his concerns are voiced and addressed he could possibly sign a contract before heading back to Laramie. If this does go down can you imagine just how much tougher the SEC would be to navigate through? Wow look out. Kirk have you heard any word from anyone inside the Wyoming program? Actually I did speak with someone inside the Athletic Department and they told me that this doesn’t surprise them at all, they said when you have the type of success that Coach Mitchell has had your going to have a lot of Universities pursuing you and that it’s not like he signed a new contract and they were kind of expecting this after how close he was to signing a contract with Florida State after last year. They also said they don’t feel cheated in any way and if he does indeed decide to take another head coaching job else where they have another coach waiting in the wings to take over the head coaching vacancy in offensive coordinator Jay Novacek and this is pretty soon after the end of the season so Coach Mitchell has left them plenty of time to recruit so their really not worried and regardless of what he does they wish him the best. O.k. thanks Herbie, so that’s what’s going on right now and we’ll keep you up to date if anything further happens with this story.

                    Reporting

We have received word that South Carolina athletic director Eric Hyman has indeed landed his guy in now former Wyoming Cowboy’s Coach Garrett Mitchell and is set to pay him in excess of 2 million dollars a year over a 3 year period. We will now go to our ESPN Insider and college football analyst Kirk Herbstreit who broke the news earlier today that South Carolina was a serious contender vying for Coach Mitchell’s services so Kirk what can you tell us? Well Stew, we know have official word out of South Carolina that athletic director Eric Hyman and Coach Mitchell met for about 3 hours this afternoon on the campus of South Carolina to discuss both the Universities and Coach Mitchell’s plans for the future and were hearing that both sides clicked right away and a deal was set up after about an hour and half of talks and Coach Mitchell signed a contract before leaving the University and has since left to charter a flight back to Laramie where were expecting he’ll give his official statements to Wyoming media and personnel before gathering his family and heading back out to Columbia. Kirk have you heard anything out of Steve Spurrier’s representatives as to what the head ball coach thinks about South Carolina’s hire? All we’ve really heard is that South Carolina met with him this morning to let him know the direction they wanted to go and let him know that he would not be retained for the last year of his contract and told him that they wanted to go in a new direction either with Coach Mitchell or somebody else. Thanks Kirk, so the news of the day is that South Carolina has got their guy and Coach Garrett Mitchell will be on the sidelines next season for the South Carolina Gamecocks. For those wondering at home under Spurrier since the 2007 season the Gamecocks have been just 10 games over .500 with a 50 and 40 record, 6 and 25 against top 25 teams, 3 and 3 in bowl games and have only had 3 winning seasons in 7 years.

Interesting choice. Good luck in the SEC.

By the way, did you call any South Carolina recruits on your Wyoming issued cellphone? Did you shred any papers after you resigned? Are you trying to get out of your $4 million buyout? Are your family member back in Wyoming being harassed because of your sudden bolt?

                        Just asking!

This was mentioned to me on another board that I should probably ask to get this thread renamed by a MOD so if a MOD could please rename this thread to: GJEM's Title Hunt Part II Thank You!

Sorry guys for the long delay it's just that I'm finding it very hard to get this going do to the fact that I really don't have any interest in playing with SC or really any team that I get to choose from for that matter. I want to keep my thread going but w/o FSU being a choice to take over I really don't know who I want to be, I'm kinda stuck right now.
