Re: GJEM's Title Hunt Part II
After such longevity at Wyoming with my dynasty I've hit that wall that most hit when doing dynasty write ups and that is I can't seem to find a program that I want to stay at for any length of time and I don't want to keep changing schools but I also want my games to be competitive and not blow outs every week. I love my sliders so I'm not going to change those because I know that they work for realism I just happened to have an elite program with tons of talent.Comment

Re: GJEM's Title Hunt Part II
I hear you GJem. I played 6 seasons at Middle Tennessee State and finally won a national title with them in my 6th season (2nd season in the SEC). I've been thinking about picking it up again, finishing off the current (7th) season and moving on to another team, but I know if I take over for an elite program, it will be far too easy.
I wish there was a "Coaching Carousel" in this game like College Hoops where you can see every available team looking for a new head coach that way you can choose to rebuild another team instead of getting offers from all the elite schools.Comment

You should go to Marshall GJEM!
Just do whatever you feel is most fun for you. I will follow regardless.Comment

Re: GJEM's Title Hunt Part II
and you know seriously I would but I know that the BCS conference that would invite me would be the Big East and I don't want to go to the Big East if it was the SEC or ACC I probably would go there but I know that wouldn't be the case, and the reason why I really wanted / want to go to one of those conferences is because I like the bowl bids they get especially the SEC's.

Re: GJEM's Title Hunt Part II
Just a thought... Maybe consider Iowa State or another team from your old conference...
If it were me, I would either make up a 'developing story' that brings controversy to FSU. Whether it is some type of 'recruiting violation' or something (by you or the university).
Invent a reason to step down after the season and go somewhere else... kinda low key like Dennis Erickson with Idaho for 1 year before going to Arizona State... (Not all 1 and done's are called pulling a Petrino...)
(in his case it was a .75 and done anyway)
Good luck... and know that your dynasty has brought me to start a new one that I am sticking with...Comment

Re: GJEM's Title Hunt Part II
Marshall sometimes gets you to the ACC. I've gotten to the Big 10 with them before. I wouldn't think you would get the SEC, but who knows. After year 1 of my WVU dynasty, I received a bid to go to the SEC to replace Kentucky, but turned it down because WVU playing in the SEC just would not feel right.

I'm not exactly losing hope on FSU but I don't know if I can go through another year of blowouts or I'll never find my self with the motivation to keep playing. I only allowed myself to recruit 6 total 5* and 4* athletes but that wont kick in for another 2 to 3 years and I don't think I could make it that far if the competitiveness is gone game after game. I think I was just spoiled with playing in an extremely tough and talented Big 12 South with Wyoming for so many years.Comment

Re: GJEM's Title Hunt Part II
Maybe you could take over a fine academic institution like Stanford or Air Force. I bet you could get Air Force in the Big 12, and it's a military school!!! Just a thought.Comment

Re: GJEM's Title Hunt Part II
You know Superjames I think that if I can get the same bids as you did but on the 360 you have me soldit only took a month lol, but I was checkin out C-USA's bowls and the Marshall uniforms and if I could eventually get into the ACC or the SEC as a long shot I just might take that job after I finish out this season.

Re: GJEM's Title Hunt Part II
So I got the itch again and started a brand new dynasty with the Tulane Green Wave I wish I can completely wash away any remnants of the brain fart that was Florida State but since I can't it is what it is. I wanted to go back to the roots and the main reason why I love NCAA games and that's to bring mid-major low ranking teams to the promise land and as my time permits or until 09' comes out that's what I intend to do with Tulane. I have played two games and have the write ups ready to go but the question is should I start a brand new thread since it is a fresh dynasty (and that's only because with my old dynasty they were already kind of good) or post it in this thread, that's what I was going to do but due to the fact that it's starting out in 2007 I wasn't sure. So what should I do?Comment

I say start a new thread. It's not like you make 18 threads. This one was 27 pages long...you're due for a fresh start.
All I know about Tulane is Shaun King...I got some autographed rookie cards when I collected cards and I thought they were going to be worth something.
I was an idiot for thinking such nonsense.Comment
