I'll try Nolefan! Unfortunately, I think I may have dug too deep of a hole in the last few weeks. We'll see, though. I just finished the next game against 2-10 Saint Louis and will have the update in a few minutes.

      (6-6)

Charlotte, NC - The Panthers devastated the Rams in Charlotte with their powerful running attack and stingy defense. The Panthers even recorded a safety in the 4th quarter. The Panthers blew out the Rams 43-7 in terrific fashion. Both Steven Davis and Deshaun Foster broke the 100 yard mark in rushing in this game, which saw the Panthers gain 368 rushing yards.

"We were awesome," commented Coach Hunter Crow. "We're unbeatable, we can't lose. We are the greatest team ever assembled. Wait, I forgot we're only 7-6, haha. Must have been all the champagne I had in the locker room! Man, I love to win. Cheers!"

Steven Davis passed the 150 yard mark in the 1st half as he broke off 2 huge runs in the 2nd quarter. He ended with 232 yards and 4 touchdowns on 28 carries. Deshaun Foster also carried the ball 16 times for 105 yards. The running duo the Panthers have been using lately has been deadly. Coach Crow explains his reasoning for it. "Well, a few weeks ago, I thought about how much we were running Steven Davis early in the season. Then I though about how little carries, we were giving Deshaun Foster, who could no doubt start at halfback on most teams. I thought about how to get them both the ball and figured we could more or less split the carries, with Steven Davis getting just a few more than Deshaun Foster. That way, we could keep both of our star backs fresh and ready for action. I mean, look at today. We got Steven 28 carries, 12 more than Deshaun's 16, but we got them both involved and kept them relatively fresh. That's what the luxury of 2 good runningbacks gives you. It gives you plenty of depth and freedom when playcalling. We even got 3rd stringer Rod Smart 5 carries today, and he took that and got us 22 hard-earned yards. How many teams have a backfield that can go 3 deep? That's right, not very many."

With the win, the Panthers improve to 7-6 and after their 2 game losing streak, have now mowed off 2 straight wins as they keep their very slim playoff hopes alive.

Atlanta, GA - The Carolina Panthers desperately needed a win to keep themselves alive, even if slimly, in the NFC Wild Card race. However, that win did not come as the Falcons, who took an early 14-0 lead, went on to narrowly defeat the Panthers by 1 with a score of 14-13. "It's a shame we couldn't win," commented quarterback Jake Delhomme, who was horrid in the game, completing only 9 of his 24 passes and throwing away 2 interceptions, 1 of which was in the red zone with 3 minutes left. A field goal would have put Carolina up by 2. "I admit, a played terribly. The ball just felt weird today, I don't know what it was. I couldn't get a good grip on the ball and it sailed on me quite a few times." In fact, the only touchdown the Panthers scored in the game was off of a pick-6 by safety Jarrod Cooper of Michael Vick.

The Panthers would have several misfortunes in this game. On the 2nd play of the game, Stephen Davis would go down with a bruised shoulder. He would return late in the 3rd quarter, but his loss would be felt. To top it all off, 3rd stringer Rod Smart would get a concussion and be out for the whole game, leaving Deshaun Foster as the only halfback on the roster. He did decent, picking up 59 yards on 19 carries, but it was not good enough. Steven Davis got 9 carries in all for a very good 58 yards, most of which came in the 4th quarter. If Carolina had Stephen Davis for the whole game, they probably would have won the game, but injuries are part of football, and we must deal with them.

Carolina Panthers coach Hunter Crow was furious after the game. In the locker room he was crazy. "If you ******* players don't get your asses in gear, I'll get them in gear for you! I'll kick your ******* asses!" Coach Crow then apparently took a cue from Bob Knight and tossed a chair at the lockers. "You know what you all did, you kicked your sorry asses out of the playoffs, that's what you did! Feel ashamed, feel very ashamed, because you should be."

After the game, Coach Crow was asked by a reporter about how he feels now that his team is essentially eliminated from the playoffs. "I'll tell you how I feel, I feel like telling you to get out of my ******* face!" The reporter apparently then asked him why he felt so angry, which led Coach Crow to punch the female reporter square in the face giving here a broken nose. "I don't feel bad about it," Coach Crow commented about the incident. "She wouldn't get out of my face, so I let her have it."

The NFL is looking into possible repercussions and Coach Crow could have charges pressed on him by the lady. Also, the lady already filed a civil lawsuit on Hunter Crow, though the amount she is suing for is currently not known. "I'm not going to pay her anything," Coach Crow said about the criminal lawsuit. "If she sues me, she'll have more to worry about than a bloody nose." Coach Crow better get his act together, because he's currently on the quick course to a ticket out of the National Football League with the way he's acting. "I haven't killed anybody, have I?" coach crow commented. "The NFL has convicted rapists and thieves playing in the league. I've never committed rape, or should I rephrase that. I've never been convicted of it. I've never been convicted of robbery, though I do tend to steal a few candy bars every time I walk into our local Seven-Eleven, haha. I've had enough of this, I did nothing wrong and let's leave it at that." We'll see how this works out for Coach Crow, but it's certainly not looking good.

With this crushing loss, the Panthers fall out of the playoff race with a 7-7 record and the Falcons of Atlanta improve to 9-5.

Man Drops Charges, but Hunter Crow Fined by NFL

Charlotte, NC - The Associated Press is reporting that Carolina Panthers coach Hunter Crow, had the civil lawsuit dropped by the man whom he punched. Also, the criminal charges were dropped. It is believed that Crow gave the reporter season-tickets for Panthers games for life and the man felt gratitude towards Crow. Crow responded, "I felt a little bad for what I did. That game I punched him, I got pretty drunk before the game and was pretty out of it. I really feel guilty for what I did and sincerely apologize. He and I are now great friends and I hope to continue our relationship."

Crow was fined $100,000 by the NFL, a rather stiff fine but nothing Crow cannot pay. "It's a large chunk of my salary, but I know I deserve it. Maybe I shouldn't load my Gatorade bottle with Vodka before our game anymore. I seem to be at my best coaching when I am drunk, but I don't want this to happen everytime."

Coach Crow certainly has an unusual was of coaching. What other coach feels at ease coaching when he is drunk? Nobody, but good 'ole Hunter Crow!

That's hilarious. Nice recap on the game above. It posted like 6 times SJ. I had that issue last night as well.

Thanks. Yeah, it never even showed up until about the 6th time posting. I deleted the rest. Actually, the last one which is the one I will keep, I changed a little bit. Coach Crow punched a male reporter instead of a female. I felt a little guilty with Coach Crow punching a girl.

                          Coach Crow Holds Press Conference
                          -Dec. 23, 2004

Reporter: Hello, Coach Crow, how are you?
                          Crow: Better than I deserve.
                          Reporter : Really?
Crow: Yes, I've been acting up a little lately and I'd like to start off by apologizing for what I did a few days ago. I feel really bad. I know that's what some of you nosy reporters are going to ask.
Reporter: Yes, I was in fact going to ask you that. Anyways, how do you feel about missing the playoffs in your first season as head coach considering you have all this talent and high expectations?
Crow: First off, I feel bad about missing the playoffs. Contrary to popular belief, this team really isn't that good in my opinion, however.
Reporter: Well, with all due respect Mr. Crow, this is the same team that went to the Super Bowl last year.
Crow: Yeah, maybe it is, but what does last year have to do with this year?
Reporter: Most of your players are the same ones from last year Mr. Crow, you should have done better in many people's opinion.
Crow: Oh, okay! So now you're telling me it's all my fault we missed the playoffs?
Reporter: Well, no. Not exactly. I was just saying...
Crow: Yes, you did! Don't lie to me. I hate liars. This team doesn't have the talent to get the the playoffs. Injuries killed our passing game this season. Losing Muhsin Muhammad for the entire season was very costly. The front office needs to make some serious moves this offseason.
Reporter: Mr. Crow, you are also the General Manager, correct?
Crow: Yes, but I need some cooperation from the rest of the front office to make some moves. I'd like to improve our secondary for next season as well. Losing Mike Minter for the entire season so early in the year was pretty devastating. It's hard to lose somebody of that caliber with so much talent for the whole season and not have some serious dropoffs. We had to fill him in with Jarrod Cooper, who isn't exactly Mike Minter if you know what I mean.
Reporter: Yes, Mr. Crow, but Cooper does have quite a few picks this season.
Crow: Yes, but the fact remains, he is no Mike Minter. We need some better cornerbacks as well. I'm not very impressed with our current batch of cornerbacks. Sure, Ricky Manning has played pretty well all season, but nobody else at the cornerback position has truly stepped up and delivered like they should.
Reporter: Coach Crow, are you impressed by the way your runningbacks have played this season?
Crow: Most definitely, both Steven Davis and Deshaun Foster have played marvelously this season. Stephen already has 1,500 yards rushing this season and Deshaun has been coming around lately. Even 3rd stringer Rod Smart has stepped up and delivered when he has needed to.
Reporter: Yes, Mr. Crow. How do you feel about the impeding offseason? The offseason is only 2 weeks from now for your squad. Are you looking forward to enjoying some time off?
Crow: Certainly. I can't wait. Once the season is over, I'm going to take a vacation to the Bahamas and watch the NFL playoffs unfold.
Reporter: Do you have a vacation home there?
Crow: Well, I have a small house there I bought when I won the Lotto South lottery a few years ago. I wasted the rest of it on booze and liquor. Maybe I should have put it in a trust fund, but I had a lot of fun with it for a short time. I also bought a Corvette, but I wrecked it off the side of the road and totaled it when I hit an old oak tree. Man, the oak tree came out of now where. Or maybe it was the large quantity of booze I had consumed. I don't know, either way I wrecked my car.
                          Reporter: Interesting, Mr. Crow.
Crow: Yes, most people find me to be quite and interesting and exotice person.
Reporter: Well, you certainly are quite a colorful figure. So, back to my original question. What type of plans do you have for the offseason.
Crow: Well, after I finish vacationing, I'll travel back up here to Charlotte and we'll make some important personnel decisions and prepare for the draft in April.
Reporter: What type of players are you looking to acquire via the NFL Draft?
Crow: Well, first and foremost, we want good players. I don't want any 1st round busts like Joey Harrington or David Carr. I'd like to possibly go after some defensive players. I really like a strong defense for next season. After all, strong defenses make strong teams and I want a strong team.
Reporter: Are you going to be looking at any big trades this offseason?
Crow: Well, as you know, I made absolutely no personnel moves during this season, but that's when I still thought this was a really good team. Now that I don't, we'll see. That's all I will tell you.
Reporter: Mr. Crow, is there any possibility that you may purposely lose the last 2 games of the season in order to secure a better position when the NFL Draft comes in April?
Crow: Of course, I'd love to get better draft position, so I may suck it up these last 2 games and keep my best players out of the game. What's the point of winning when it does nothing but hurt you, right?
Reporter: I guess Mr. Crow, but are you worried about the NFL penalizing you for saying that you might try to lose?
Crow: Well, first off, I never actually said I'll try to lose, I just said I might try to lose. I know it's hard for you close-minded people to get through your head, but there actually is a difference. Besides, I'm not scared of the NFL. Until their front office lines up a team and beats this Panthers squad, I'm not scared of them.
                          Reporter: I see Mr. Crow.
Crow: Yes you do....Anymore more questions?
                          Reporter: No.
Crow: Okay, that will be all then. As you all know, I don't hold very many press conferences, so this may be your last chance to talk to me for quite some time.
Reporter: Well, I have one. Why do you not like press conferences?
Crow: Mainly because I don't like talking with you know-it-all reporters who think you could actually coach this football team, when, in fact, you would have no idea where to start. You act like you could run this football team better than I can. Well, you can't or you would be coaching.
                          Reporter: I never said that.
Crow: You thought it, though. You all are constantly criticizing me and it gets really ridiculous the scrutiny I get put through. I drink during my games. Big deal, but some of you all seem to have a problem with that!
Reporter: Well, in all due respect, Mr. Crow, it really is quite unusual.
Crow: Who said I was "usual". I am not! I am extraordinary and will do extraordinary things with this team!
-Mr. Crow would go on my throwing his jacket into the crowd of reporters before storming out of the room violently.
Crow: I've had enough of you idiots! Good night and good riddens!

Oh no. I am having some trouble with this game freezing up and such. I hope nothing is wrong.

I'm going to go ahead and try out a few other games on my old Xbox and see what happens. I would rather it be a problem with the disk, because I can go out and buy another one for $1.99 from my local Gamestop.
