Way to go Psy,as I was reading thru I was a little concerned with those 2 early losses to the only teams that weren't cupcakes but all of that changed with your early dominance of the Big East.Thats a hell of a streak you put together.Too bad Nova is gonna spoil it for ya(LOL)Great job with the Chise' I'll be following

Georgetown climbs the mountain, goes over the top of UL in overtime to remain #1

LOUISVILLE, KY - Roy Hibbert could barely stay still, he was so nervous.

After helping his Georgetown teammates fight back against a Louisville team aided by a frenzied crowd, the 7'2 center could only watch the final minutes of regulation and overtime, saddled with a disqualifying 5 fouls.

But before that, Georgetown laid it all on the line. A 12 point deficit bulged to 51-36 with 13:55 to play, and John Thompson III called yet another timeout. Like he had in every other timeout in the game, he ranted and raved about defense and protecting the ball. But above that, he preached that the Hoyas must execute the gameplan they came to Freedom Hall with.

They drove to the basket. They drew contact. They took body blows and went sprawling across the floor. They paid the price physically, but Louisville paid the price where it counted. The Hoyas' aggressiveness sent them to the line 47 times, of which they capitalized 37. And when Jonathan Wallace - a 94% free throw shooter - was fouled with 9.5 seconds left and GU down 79-78, Roy Hibbert covered his head with a towel.

But Wallace's second free throw inexplicably rattled out. So the teams went to overtime deadlocked at 79. Once there, Georgetown's attack continued, and they raced to an 83-79 lead. Louisville wasn't done though, and with 37 seconds to play, Georgetown found themselves with the ball and the game tied again, 85-85. Wallace decided to make up for his miss in regulation, and drove against UL center Clarence Holloway. Wallace wanted the foul and probably should've gotten it, but the ref swallowed his whistle. And yet, Wallace's off balance floater in the lane kissed off the glass and found the bottom of the net.

Edgar Sosa missed a wide open three from the top of the key, Patrick Ewing, Jr. made one of two free throws, and Jerry Smith's final three point gasp at the horn clanged away.

Hibbert was the first one off the ecstatic Georgetown bench. The tallest guy in the building ran onto the court, one finger extended toward the roof, signifying Georgetown's ranking that they had successfully defended.
