Tough loss to end you're season Psy. Don't you love losing out on recruits to the Nevada's and Utah State's of the world on this game.

Happy to see Psycho T take home the hardware as National Player of the Year even though the Heels weren't able to win the big one. Good luck next season as I think you'll suffer a few more losses without Hibbert down low.

I try my best to replicate the actual Georgetown type of games. They work the shot clock down and work the ball around. Of course the actual Georgetown utilizes backdoor cuts out of the Princeton offense; there aren't many of those in the game.

Hoyas hang on...barely
15 point lead evaporates, but Georgetown squeaks by Southern Cal

WASHINGTON, D.C. - With 8:52 to go, Georgetown's DaJuan Summers' jumpshot put the Hoyas ahead of USC 59-44. The Trojans were dead in the water, without power forward Taj Gibson due to injury and shooting guard O.J. Mayo putting up a big goose egg.

And then Georgetown went on a 5:17 scoring drought, during which time the Trojans scored 15 unanswered points, improbably tying the game at 59. From there, the teams traded baskets to even the score at 61. Freshman guard Hal Reaves' 3 put the Hoyas up 64-61 with 2:43 to go. They traded hoops again, and when SC got it one, they elected not to foul with 41 seconds to play. Austin Freeman missed a jumper as the shot clock expired, and USC had one final chance, but Daniel Hackett's three rattled out, giving the Hoyas a 66-65 victory. After the game, John Thompson III was less than pleased.

"We're a young team, so our guys are kind of learning on the fly, but there's still a lot to improve. When we got up by 15 we checked out mentally. It's my job to make sure that doesn't happen, but I can't do that if the players aren't focused, and young players tend to zone out more easily, so that's something we've got to fix."
