Re: USC Trojans (CH2K8)
I think I'm going to split the top part and throw a pic on the right side of where the game recap is and just make it a little longer down. A pic take an extra minute or two, but I think it's worth it. Helps you get into the legacy more.
Last night I had the urge to start a legacy wtih UNC. Then I remembered how their uni's are updated, how the ACC has a rotating conference schedule, and how I see the ACC non stop in real life.
USC has a lot of positives and I've already invested quite some time into it, therefore I'm sticking it out. I really enjoy playing with them anyways. It's a huge challenge to improve them!
I'm at work bored, therefore I'll give some impressions of the season so far:
Need to find a go-to guy
I knew this was a problem coming into the season. Dwight Lewis is very inconsistent even with good looks. Davon Jefferson doesn't play up to his potential, ever. Going down low to Taj Gibson or Angelo Fellows isn't the best option because creating a shot is hard for a big man, especially in this game. I might lean towards Daniel Hackett, my big PG. He's the best ball handler on the team and can knock down jumpers.
Angelo Fellows & Taj Gibson = Dynamic Duo
Having two guys down low who can control the paint is a huge asset. Gibson is the banger and Fellows possesses the finesse. Fellows can knock down the 12-15 ft jumper and Gibson will grab offensive boards and throw them back down. Fellows is a shot blocker and with Gibson at PF he can match up with whoever he goes against.
I'm overrated
I am ranked #6 and 11-1, however I don't believe that's a very accurate assessment of where my team stands. I have had a very easy schedule so far and won the games I should've won. The Pac-10 will be where the true test lies. I just don't like being rated so high knowing there is no reason for it. If I had O.J. Mayo I definitely think I'd be a top 20 team.
Hopefully I'll get the Arizona game in tonight and I'll post the recap.Comment

Yeah, I don't notice the shrinking pictures, but I use the old ESPN2 Black scheme, where it works fine.Comment

Re: USC Trojans (CH2K8)
I'm the first one in line to say I'm overrated! Remember that was my biggest complaint coming into this season. How in the world was I preseason #8 after losing my best player?
This gives me a bit of an unfair advantage in making the NCAA Tourney though. Too bad 2K has always lacked a bit in the rankings department. They try and fix it but it never got much better. With that said, I can still live with it...and I really don't have a choice!Comment

Re: USC Trojans (CH2K8)
I fixed UCLA's rotation after the first 10 games. They had Kevin Love starting and only playing 8 minutes a game! 8 minutes = 10 minutes with 20 minutes halves.
They are rated 94 overall...mainly because I also went through and boosted the top 100 freshman in OFF & DEF AWR. Now some freshman will leave early and hopefully they actually score points.
UCLA was GOOD. They'll be right back at the top of things after fixing the rotation. I went through the big conferences and hit the "Auto Generate" on the rotations to make sure they would play the best players.Comment

Re: USC Trojans (CH2K8)
Just a quick question: are you still using the same sliders that you posted in the sliders section? the reason I ask is I have been using your sliders and have been very pleased with the game results so far. But I saw in the other thread where you talked about putting up DA to 100 and OA to 0 to get better down low offense out of the cpu. Did doing that change the game in any "bad" ways that you noticed.
I am always hesitant to just switch sliders, especially when they seem to be giving me good results. But If they make the game even better it would be worth a shot.

Re: USC Trojans (CH2K8)
I believe I made a couple changes but nothing huge. Still on AA and still have the game speed and all that stuff the same.
I think my #'s are awesome that I get and I hope you have the same results.
I think I bumped up fouls a little as well.
Nothing major.
I'll post them once I have a chance.
One little tip someone in the CH section said:
Before the game just go into matchups and turn Double Team from "Auto" to "Never"
If the CPU has a good post player they will be more likely to feed him the ball. Look at my UCLA boxscore to see the results of that!Last edited by Guest; 04-10-2008, 01:06 PM.Comment
