Re: *The Crosby Effect* A Penguins Dynasty 2.5
Off The Record with Jason Skyland
ML: Hello, I'm Michael Landsberg and I'm off the record with Penguins GM Jason Skyland.
*Skyland walks out from behind the curtains, waiving to the crowd*
ML: Jason, how do you think the Penguins will do during this year?
JS: Well, we're going to play extra hard. It was harder back when we had Hossa and Malone. But I feel if Crosby and Malkin shine as bright as they can, they can do amaznig things.
ML: Ok, you ready to go to the Next Question?
JS: I don't see why not.
*Cameras fade with cheers*
ML: Ok, first question is, what was the last book you read?
JS: Ok, weird question but it was Hockey All-Stars by Chris McDonell.
ML: If you got to draft one of the following defencemen, woh would you pick? :Chris Pronger, Bob Gainey, Bobby Orr or Ray Bourque.
JS: I know there is an obvious pick there, but I would pick Ray Bourque. He's just a great leader with a really stunning career. But of course I'd pick Bobby Orr next if I had back to back picks.
ML: If you had the 1st pick, who would you pick of the NHL now and of the NHL of all time.
JS: Now, I'd go with my buddy Sidney Crosby and of All time, I'd go with Gordie Howe.
ML: Last question, sorry it's so short. What is your motto when your on a breakaway.
JS: Most people would say to look for the holes but I just want to not make a fool of myself. I love to make the goalie make stupid, and what's really cool is that only a few people have enough skills to do that, I'm just lucky to be in those few.
ML: Thank you, we were off the record with Jason Skyland.Regrets Aren't Something You Did, It's Something You Didn't Do

Crosby Apporaches Milestones.
It seemed like it was just yesterday where Crosby was scoring his first goal against the Boston Bruins, but now Crosby, in his 4th year of play, is going for his first major milestones. Sid The Kid is closing in on 100 career goals, 200 career assists and 300 career points. Expect the Next One to acquire these marks very quickly into the year.

Sabourin To Play Entire Pre-Season.
PIT: It was just announced by coach Michel Therrien that back-up goaltender Dany Sabourin will play the entire pre-season. "I just wanted to see how well he's improved since last year" said Therrien in the press confrence. "Now unlike Michel, I'm gonna tell you the truth, if Fleury gets injured, that the only time you'll see Sabourin play" said General Manager Jason Skyland. "Might as well give him where it doesn't count, then Fleury does the whole season, I still remember that Sabourin wants out". Last year, Dany Sabourin managed to win 10 games, yet he still loss 9 more.

An Amazing Penguins Team Dinner
A young lady, around 19 years old was the luckiest for deciding to take the night shift, meeting (or rather stalking) the whole Penguins roster (ecspecially Crosby, you'll see).
Skyland: Ok guys, this dinner was arranged to get the team to know eachother more. As you probably already know, I'm Jason Skyland, the General Manager of this team.
Crosby: Yea guys, Jason's the best. He is really nice and can-
Skyland: Ok Sid, calm down.
Crosby: Sorry, lost my cool there.
Waitress: Oh my GOSH, your Sidney Crosby!!!!, man your the- OMG, your so aw- I st-!!!!!
Staal: Is she okay?
Malkin: How should i know.
Staal: Good point *both Staal and Malkin shrug*
*Skyland wispers to Crosby...***N!!!!*
*Crosby sprints out, being closely followed*
Skyland: I have an important announcement to say, now since that chick is locked outside and Sid was un-harmed.
Crosby: She was insane!
Skyland: Every single owner except Mario, decided to fire Michel Therrien...
Whole Team: WHAT!!!!
Skyland: He decided to take the wrong road, he started drinking alot, getting a bad rep, they all thought they didn't want this to affect the publics opinion of the Penguins team.
Satan: Aww, that suck real bad.
Crosby: So he's gonna be our coach for the year?
Skyland: I'd like to introduce the Penguins new head coach, Nick Barry. Nick used ot play for the Buffalo Sabres, he was formely Gm of the Edmonton Oilers. He;s a great guy, doesn't yell that much on the bench. He's a good friend of mine.
Barry: Well, I hope we all have a good year, and I'll see you at practise tommorow.Regrets Aren't Something You Did, It's Something You Didn't Do

Clash of the Coaches!!!
It was 6:30 in the morning, most of our players were yawning in the dressing room except one person. Nick Barry was quite exstatic to see how well his new team could play.
A man that no one knew rammed inside the dressing room and started calling out demands such as "OK people lets play hard out there" or "Lets play our hearts out".
Crosby: Who is this guy??
Nick: Jeff, why are you here??
Malkin: Coach, who is tis guy??
Barry: This is Jason and I's friend, Jeff Shannon.
Shannon: Hey guys, I used to be an NHLer with the Vancouver Canucks.
Staal: Oh really...
*Skyland runs in, out of breath*
Skyland: Damnit Jeff, slow down, I'm retired remember!
Shannon: ......
Skyland: Well then guys, Jeff is going to be your assistant coach, but will be Head Coach for the 1st Month because Nick is going on a trip with his "girlfriend" to Hawaii, but he'll have access to watch the games to see how you guys play.
Skyland: Well guys, lets go practise like there is no tommorow.
Team: YEAH!!!Regrets Aren't Something You Did, It's Something You Didn't Do

Jonas Brothers To Play At Penguins Home Opener.
It was just announced by Jason Skyland that the Jonas Brothers are to play at the Penguins Home Opener in both Sweden and against the New Jersey Devils. Skyland has just one sentence to say "Our Media person is a 14 year old girl what are you gonna do".

Re: *The Crosby Effect* A Penguins Dynasty 2.5
We're live with Don Cherry and Ron McLean on Hockey Nigh In Canada.
McLean: Our main topic, of course the hope to be, Lightning-Penguin thriller. Don, your thoughts.
Cherry: The Penguins know, I know and you know, the Penguins need to shut the Lightning offence down.
McLean: Who in particular do they need to "shut down"?
Cherry: Vinny Lecavalier first off. He's got the full package. He's their captain and a multiple goal scorer. Then shutting down Mark Recchi, Martin St.Louis and Gary Roberts is a important thing to do. They should keep an eye on Steven Stamkos as well, but he's not as much as a threat to the Penguins.
McLean: Well the Lightning must want to rely-
Cherry: No, Stamkos is not as much a threat. People keep thinking just because he's the first overall pick, he'll be automatically the best player, or at least pretty damn good. Only a handful of players who still play have done this, for example Alex Ovechkin, who was taken 1st by the Caps in 2004 and Sid The Kid, taken 1st by the Pens the year after.
McLean: Well Don, that's all the time we have for now.Regrets Aren't Something You Did, It's Something You Didn't Do
