                                            Predators add Kovalchuk

                                            NASHVILLE - The Nashville Predators have aquired LW Ilya Kovalchuk from the Atlanta Thrashers in exchange for injured winger Steve Sullivan who is expected to begin playing in 1-2 weeks and defenseman Ryan Suter.

                                            Kovalchuk has played in 26 games this season with 8 goals and 9 assists. He will be placed on the first line LW spot with Mike Comrie and JP Dumont. Cody Franson has been called up to take the defensive void left by dealing Suter.
