    TIGERS EAT OUTLAWS FOR LUNCH!!

    Well this makes two losses in a row for the outlaws. jason Johnson for the tigers pitched a complete game 5 hitter only surrendering one run. ponson didnt have his best stuff out there today, giving up 3 runs on 10 hits but he did manage ot K 4 batters. Hopefully the outlaws can ride out of town after the next game with their heads held high.

                  This game was all about saving face for the outlaws. To get out of commerica with at least one win under their belts. This they did ths against a tigers team that ruffed up their pitching the previous two games. It didnt help that the tigers starter was last yrs worst pitcher Mike Maroth. Vazquez seemed to be in control of this game from the opening pitch. The tigers never got any sort of threat going against the outlaws all afternoon. The outlaws offense was going into this game knowing thaty had to be patient with this pitcher. That they couldnt go after bad pitches if they really wanted to wint this game, and that is exactly what they did. they didnt swing at many pitchers pitches and stuk to their guns and got some runs acoss the board.

                  Now the outlaws continue their first ever road trip and go into the north west and those rabid fans of the Mariners to start a 4 game series. We will see if this team has what it takes to take on the powerful M's lineup and pitching. This should be a good series and after each game we will come bring you the post game wrap up. until next time stay tuned for week ending news.

                              This game was a pitching clinic for both clubs. Each pitcher had the other teams number pretty much through out the game. the outlaws left 10 on base. Charles Johnson got his first homer of the season in this one. Durhma and Branyan each got their 3rd doubles of the season. Oliver was outstanding registering 7 strike outs in this one. His curve ball was baffling the hitters all gme long. He allowed only six hits through his 7 innings pitched. The one sout note for the outlaws in this one was an unjury to Erstad. He strained his back and is listed as day to day... but arent we all. Until his return Chris singleton will be taking his place in the lineup and playing CF.
