    OLIVER SINKS MARINERS!!!!

    OUTLAWS - 0 0 1 0 0 1 1 0 = 3 14 0
    SEATTLE - 0 0 0 0 0 1 0 0 - 1 7 0

    WP - DARREN OVLIVER (1-0)
    LP - RYAN FRONKLIN (1-1)
    S - MCDUGAL (1)

    PLAER OF THE GAME

    DAVID BELL

    4 FOR 4, 1 RBI

This game was a pitching clinic for both clubs. Each pitcher had the other teams number pretty much through out the game. the outlaws left 10 on base. Charles Johnson got his first homer of the season in this one. Durhma and Branyan each got their 3rd doubles of the season. Oliver was outstanding registering 7 strike outs in this one. His curve ball was baffling the hitters all gme long. He allowed only six hits through his 7 innings pitched. The one sout note for the outlaws in this one was an unjury to Erstad. He strained his back and is listed as day to day... but arent we all. Until his return Chris singleton will be taking his place in the lineup and playing CF.

      OUTLAWS BLANK M'S

      FINAL SCORE

      OUTLAWS - 6
      SEATTLE - 0

      WP - GARCIA (2-0)
      LP - PINERO (1-1)
      S - CHRISTIANSEN (1)

      PLAYER OF THE GAME

      CHRIS SINGLETON

      3 FOR 5, 0 RBI

The story of this game was pitching and power. All provided from the outlaws. The power was provided in the form of two 3 run homers. The first cominng by way of Andres Galarraga. His first of the season. That was in the fourth inning off of Pinero. The second round tripper was hit by Cora in the top of the ninth off of pinero. Also his first of the season. Freddy Garcia as we all know used to be the ace of the mariners staff until the decided to let him go in the expansion draft.

He was letting them know just what it was they gave up on in this game. Garcia went 6 strong inning allowing only 6 hits and striking out 2. Of the 6 runs that Pinero gave up only 5 were earned. He also struck out 2 in his 9 innings pitched. Also allwoing the two 3 run homers. The outlaws and mariners will face off for two more games before the outlaws take off for the east coast to face the Red Sox.

SEVEN UP FOR OUTLAWS IN WIN OVER M'S

            OUTLAWS - 7
            SEATTLE - 3

            WP - FRANKLIN (1-1)
            LP - MECHE (0-1)

            PLAYER OF THE GAME

            WAYNE FRANKLIN

            9 OP, 3 ER, AND 6 K'S

Another win for the outlaws another first homer of the yr by Greg Vaughn. The m's would lose Ichiro on a steal attempt and a sprained ankle in the first inning. He will miss 1-2 weeks. for the putlaws Bellhorn would make his first game back after being out with a sore shoulder. This game would have been more lopsided if it hadnt been for Edgar hititng is 300th carerr homer in the first inning to give the m's a 2-0 lead. David bell would also hit his 2nd homer of the season to help the putlaws over the m's.

Franklin was fairly sharp going the distance and giving up the three runs in 11 hits while striking out six and giving up 2 hrs in this one. Of note the m's tried staeling 3 times and only being sucessful on ichiros attempt in the first. Johnson was having none of that behind the plate today as he threw out 2 would be base stealers. In yesterdays game Pat Burrell strained his back on a swing and had to leave the game thus allowing vauaghn to get the start in LF today.

OUTLAWS COME FRON BEHIND FOR THE SWEEP OVER SEATTLE!!!

                  APRIL 14TH

                  OUTLAWS - 5
                  SEATTLE - 3

                  WP - PONSON (1-1)
                  LP - SORIANO (0-2)
                  S - MCDOUGAL (2)

                  PLAYER OF THE GAME

                  GREG VAUGHN

                  4 FOR 4, 1 RBI

Looked for a while that the sweep wasnt going to be on this day. Vilone had it going against the outlaws on this day. The M's would strike out for a early 2-0 lead over the outlaws when whey pushed across 2 runs in the first inning. Ponson settled down after that and didnt allow another run to cross the plate til the 6th inning. In the top of the sixth the outlaws would get the game tied at 2 apiece before the M's got the lead back by one in the bottom of the inning.

Ponson would go ahead nad pitch the 7th and 8th innings and coast through them. the outlaws struck what would become the winning blow in the 8th inning. Charles Johnson would launch a line drive 3 run homer to give teh outlaws the lead and the win.

The mariners would go on to lose CF'ER Winn on a diving play late in the game wiht what is now being called a hip flexor injury. he is expected to miss 1-2 wk's of action. On that note, it was noted that ichiro was injured in the previous game with a sprained ankle and would miss 1-2 wks of play. Well he must be a quick hearler or somethign or the injury wasnt quite that bad. He managed to play the game all the way through.
