The down-trodden Mavericks still had a glimmer of hope today. They came out gunning leading early. It was tied 44-44 at the half. The Mavs let the Nets get a lead though and the Mavs were denied late again losing 97-89

Mavs Send Stackhouse Packin'

This morning the Mavs owner, Mark Cuban, called former Maverick Stackhouse to inform that he has been traded. He was dispatched to Seattle for SF Rashard Lewis and a future 2nd round draft pick. Jerry wasn't producing with the Mavs at all. "I think its better for me and my former club..." said Stackhouse when he was leaving.

Gets: Rashard Lewis and future second round pick

The Mavs should of just stayed home today. Im not gonna sugar coat it. The Mavs got run out of the gym today. The user behind the controller was obviously getting upset towards the end of the game. Having almost won the last 3 games he's ready for a win. It didn't come tonight. Maybe next time guys.

Newcomer Bolsters Mavericks for Win

Newcomer Rashard Lewis had a monster game with 29 points 6 boards and a single assist. The Mavs had this game in hand since the start. They jumped out to a double digit lead at half. In the third quarter the Mavs layed it on thick going up by as much as 25. In the end. the Mavs came away with their first win, 100-90. The first win came at home before their home crowd.

Mavs Win Again Infront of Home Crowd

The Dallas Mavericks came out pumped today. "We were juiced since we had one our first game last time." commented team leader Dirk Nowitzki. "We know Starbury has explosive moves but i think that we can shut him down." said Devin Harris, rookie point guard out of Wisconisin. I wouldn't say they shut them down but they controlled every one else around him. It was a close game the whole way until the Mavs pulled away in the 4th quarter 99-85.

Rookie point guard Devin Harris was injured this week in normal mid range drills. The report is a sprained MCL which will keep him in street clothes for a week to two weeks. "This is a minor blow to this team. He is not going to be out long and Dan Dickau had a good showing in his first game as a Maverick last game verus the Knicks. Terry will be the starter this week with Dan at backup." That is what assistant coach Donnie Nelson said as his father and head coach Don Nelson was unavailble for comment.

The Mavericks game into this game with a 2 game winning streak in hand. They looked to take a victory away against their western confrence foe. Dirk came out gunning from the start along with backup PG Dan Dickau who had 26 and 18 points respectivley. Anthony dominated the game for the Nuggets with 22 points. In the end the Mavericks came up with a 15 point win, 110-95

The Minnesota Timberwolves came into Big D looking to cool the Mavericks down who were on a 3 game winning streak. They were neck and neck to the half where Minniesota had a slight edge. The Wolves pulled away in the 3rd quarter as the Mavs broke down offensivley. Dirk Nowitzki and Rashard Lewis tried to pull em back into it but they were to far behind. they got with in 6 points and ended up loosing by 14, 109-95
