Mavs Hit 3 In A Row; Blow Out SuperSonics

The Dallas Mavericks came to play today. Even with starting SF Rashard Lewis not there to play his former team due to a strained MCL, Josh Howard covered just fine. With 20 fastbreak points and 17 bench points the Mavericks had this game in hand since the first posession. Dirk hit shots, Dampier hit inside shots, Finley ignited for 3 dunks in a row in the 4th quarter and Alston was in floor general mode. All in all, it was a great game. Mavericks win 102-83

The Dallas Mavericks went in to Chicago to face the Bulls on a kind of natural high. "It just feels good.After not doing very good at the beginning of the season we are on all cylinders now" said team leader Dirk Nowitzki. The Mavericks smothered their opponents on fast break points havin 30+! They also had 20+ bench points. The Mavericks ran all over the Bulls for a 5 game winning streak 87-77

It was close in the first quarter but, from the second quarter on the Mavericks lead and had the game completley in hand. Mavericks Dismiss Dismal Hawks

It was an unstable game for both teams, going on hot and cold streaks, and letting the others sneak ahead everyonce in a while. In the end the Mavericks were ahead a little and pulled away when the Hawks started fouling intentionally. The Mavs win it 104-94.

Injury Report
During Practice on Saturday, Michael Finley went down. He complained of pain in his ankle. It turned out to be a sever ankle sprain. He will be out for 53 days. "This really hurts our team to lose a contributor like him" said PF Dirk Nowtizki.
