                Coaches vs. Leukemia Classic - Haas Pavillion - Berkeley, CA

                Syracuse Orange 73


                The Syracuse Orange started the season with the Coaches vs. Leukemia Classic where they faced off against the lowly Denver Pioneers. Syracuse played very sloppy and were lucky to win with all the fouls they picked up. Hakim Warrick, despite being in foul trouble for most of the game pulled off a great game with 24 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists. The Orange pulled off the victory with help from Warrick and Gerry McNamara.

                Players of the Game
                Hakim Warrick: 24 points (12-17 FG), 6 rebounds, and 4 assists
                Yemi Nicholson: 19 points, 9 rebounds, 2 assists

                Key Players
                Gerry McNamara: 23 points, 6 assists, 2 rebounds
                Terrance Roberts: 8 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists
                Louie McCroskey: 6 points, 4 assists

                Antonio Porch: 17 points, 7 rebounds

                  The Syracuse Orange started the season with the Coaches vs. Leukemia Classic where they faced off against the lowly Denver Pioneers.                             Syracuse advanced to the quarterfinals after a win over Denver. They faced the Bucknell Bison and were in control from the get-go. Hakim Warrick had another big game, this time getting 27 points, 9 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 blocks. Gerry McNamara didn't shoot too well but the rest of the team made up for it. The Orange cruised in this one and never felt threatened.
