The overmatched Colonels of Nicholls State traveled to Auburn University in hopes of taking down the Tigers.

To begin the game, Toney Douglas was firing on all cylinders and was the primary source of offense for the Tigers. Douglas went on to hit 7 three-pointers in the first half, and later took his seat on the bench with his team up huge.

Auburn padded their lead in the second half with their second string playing the entire half, and Nicholls State did everything they could to help that. After numerous turnovers and terrible shots by the Colonels, Auburn won this one easily, 84-60.
