Game 6: Boston Celtics at Washington Wizards

Paul Pierce and the Celtics looked to continue their winning ways, and they did just that tonight, topping the Wizards by a score of 100-90. The Wizards lack of someone to score off the bench really hurt them in the 2nd and 4th quarters, as you can tell the fatigue set in as they were able to score only 16 points in the 2nd and 19 in the third. Gilbert Arenas and Antawn Jamison had monster nights for the Wizards, but outside of them, and a small contribrution from Larry Hughes, the Wizards were shut down.

The Wizards led after the first quarter 28-25 but after that there was no looking back for the Celtics. The Celtics went out and dominated the rest of the game. Paul Pierce lead the Celtics with 29 points including an unconscious 5 of 7 from behind the arc. The Celtics will travel back home to take on the 5-3 San Antonio Spurs.

The Celtics met their match tonight for the first time at home. Tim Duncan lead the way for the Spurs scoring 16 points, and pulling down 17 rebounds. The Spurs dominated most of the way, with a lead of 7 points going into the 4th quarter, and holding on to a 10 point lead most of the way throughout the 4th quarter. San Antonio shot a high percentage shooting 76% after the 1st, and ending with a 52% shooting percentage from the field. The 3 ball also was working for the Spurs, as they knocked down 6 of 18, including 4-7 from Brent Barry, and 2-7 from Bruce Bowen.

Paul Pierce and Ricky Davis lead the way for the Celtics with 18 points each, while LaFrentz added 13, and Gary Payton, and Mark Blount added 12 points each. Mark Blount added 13 points as well. It was a well played game by the Celtics, but the Spurs ability to knock down key three pointers, and convert on second chance oppurtunities lead them to victory. The Celtics fall to 5-2 on the season, and the Spurs improve to 6-3.

Game 8: Boston Celtics (5-2) vs Seattle SuperSonics (9-1)

The Celtics came out today looking to rebound from their recent loss at the hands of the San Antonio Spurs. Despite leading 34-24 after the first quarter, the Celtics managed to put up only 14 points in the 2nd quarter which allowed the Sonics to get back in the game, and with that they were able to come back and take a big lead into the 3rd and 4th quarter. With a lead of 78-70 after 3 quarters, the Sonics did not allow the Celtics back in. I've been considering it for a bit, but LaFrentz is playing good, and Blount is contributing nicely as well.

Raef is giving me- 13.6 ppg, 8.5 rpg, and shooting .428 from the field
Blount is giving me- 10.4 ppg, 11.8 rpg, and shooting .627 from the field

Jefferson is a nice scoring option off the bench giving me.
                                7.5 ppg, 4.9 rpg, and shooting .595

Big Al gets a lot of minutes, and stays in longer than Perkins does. A lot of the time when I bring in the 2nd unit I bring in Al and Perk. I rotate Al to the 5 when I sub LaFrentz in and give him an extra 2-3 minutes before I bring Mark back in

I might consider it if LaFrentz's production goes down. I do have LaFrentz on the trading block, with Gary Payton so that might be an option as well.
