Re: Michigan Wolverines II (CH2K5)
Binghamton 15 31-46
#25 Michigan 40 39-79
Wolverines start 2005 with a roar
Fresh off a 2005 NIT Championship, higher things are expected of the Michigan Wolverines this season. They are a young team, as their starting five consists of three juniors and two sophomores. They run a three-guard lineup and rely on the fast break for offense.
The Wolverines opened the season up against the Binghamton Bearcats in the Preseason NIT Tournament. Things got ugly fast, as after falling behind 6-4, Michigan went on a 27-4 run to take a 31-10 lead. UM led 40-15 at intermission, and never looked back, winning their season opener, 79-46.
Player of the Game
Lester Abram: 28 points, 9 rebounds, 7 assists, 2 steals, 2 blocks
Dion Harris: 17 points, 4 assists, 3 steals
Daniel Horton: 11 points, 7 assists, 4 steals
Courtney Sims: 9 points, 6 rebounds, 3 blocks
Chris Hunter: 5 points, 7 rebounds, 3 steals
Schafer Jackson: 12 points, 4 assists
Nick Billings: 10 points, 7 rebounds
Troy Hailey: 6 points, 3 rebounds
Sebastian Hermenier: 6 points, 4 rebounds
