Thanks...I'm surprised I got in it this year. I was thinking middle of next year to even be considered for a spot.

This story of this game was WKU's stellar defense. It was set after the opening kick off was fumbled by Ark St and it just went downhill for them from there. Ark St only converted 1 third down and only got eight first downs, also they never score or even got into the red zone. This is WKU's first shut out since coach Taylor has started coaching and what makes this win even better, is that this game was the last conference game in WKU's domination of conference foes this year. WKU finished their conference play 8-0, with the only challenge being presented by North Texas a couple weeks ago.

Clark Jeter, (RS)Senior, catches this jump ball in the back of the end zone. This was 42 seconds after WKU recovered the opening kickoff fumble.

Derrius Brooks, (RS)Senior, celebrates after taking a pass 91 yards to the end zone. That is a career record for Brooks.

James Gray, Sophomore, showed his leadership skills leading this brick wall defense to a shut out.

Most of you remember this game last year, when GT squeezed out a narrow victory on a late fourth quarter drive. This year WKU wants revenge, but GT will not underestimate them this year. This is Josh Robinson's time to shine, if there was anytime for him to step up it would be now. It should be a good game....If you want to tune in it is a national broadcast so you can find it anywhere.

GT dominated the field on both sides of the ball, shutting down WKU's rushing attack for the first time this season and cause the flawless Josh Robinson to throw three picks. WKU didn't have the horses to run with the big boys and it definitely showed today. The good thing is that WKU won their conference hands down, but they still need to do some good recruiting to run with the BCS conferences.

Things started out good with this 15 yard touchdown pass to Derrius Brooks, (RS)Senior.

Josh Robinson, Freshman, shows frustration after throwing his third pick of the day.

The only highlight of the day was Derrius Brooks' career receiving day with 10 catches for 145 yards and a touchdown.
