Ouch! Having any player go down sucks, but especially a newly aquired player and starter to top it off.

Brohm had a bad day it seems, less than 50% completions and 3 picks!

    Good luck next week!
Yeah the injury hurts, but I'm very pleased with the outcome of the game, made some changes to sliders prior in order to make it more challenging so I'm glad to finally have a loss and my 69 rated qb played like a 69 rated qb. Also had fun figuring out how to put the highlight reel together but I'll likely only do that for big games, was a bit of work

BUFFALO, NY -- After losing linebacker Thomas Howard for the remainder of the season due to a torn tricep, the Buffalo Bills came to an agreement with eight-year veteran Pisa Tinoisamoa. Tinoisamoa spent the 2010 season as a member of the Chicago Bears and had 16 tackles. The rumored terms of the contract are that it is a one-year deal worth approximately $1.5 million.

Fullback Quinton Ganther was released in order to make room for Tinoisamoa on the roster.

      Bills notes

RT Bobby Curl, who has yet to play a snap all season is progressing well in his rehab from a torn quadricep sustained during pre-season. He is expected to return for the week 7 matchup against the Washington Redskins. ... QB Josh Johnson reportedly contacted GM Tony Telford with the simple message, "play me or trade me." Telford declined to comment.

          Running Away
Giants rush their way to victory

Brandon Jacobs breaks off a 69 yard run late in the 4th quarter against the Bills

Buffalo, NY -- It would be another tough day for the Bills, as they lose their second consecutive home game. Again, it was the opposing rushing attack that ultimately led to Buffalo's demise, as the Giants were able to total 220 yards on the ground thanks to strong performances from Brandon Jacobs and Ahmad Bradshaw. New York dominated defensively and did a good job of keeping their defense off of the field by controlling the tempo and time of possession.

Lebeau talks to Brohm on the sidelines

At the start of the second half, head coach Dick Lebeau benched starting quarterback Brian Brohm in favor of Josh Johnson. Johnson was later replaced by Colt McCoy in the 4th quarter. Lebeau told reporters, "I was just trying to switch things up, hoping to inject some life into our offense. Brohm is still our guy." Some speculate that the decision to play Johnson was related to the recent rumors of him demanding a trade, but both Johnson and Bills personnel declined to comment about that rumor.

Late in the 4th quarter, the Bills appeared poised to make a comeback. On the ensuing kickoff after Bradshaw's second touchdown run, kick returner Roscoe Parrish took one to the house. Unfortunately, the play was called back due to a holding call against third-string tight end Shawn Nelson.

Shawn Nelson holds on a kick return.

Of course, the game wasn't all bad for Buffalo. Standout rookie receiver Khamari Dansby boasted his second 100+ yard performance of the season, adding his second receiving touchdown as well. Another strong rookie performance came from defensive end Deontae Knight, as he totaled 4 tackles, adding a sack and two tackles for a loss. "We're going to have to start finding ways to get him on the field more often," commented defensive coordinator Ron Rivera. "He's a playmaker and gets into the backfield so quickly, he's going to be a star."

On the injury front, Paul Posluszny and Kyle Williams both left the game in the second half with injuries, but tests came back negative and both should be back in the starting lineup next week against the Miami Dolphins. As for the Giants, they performed well despite losing their biggest playmakers on both offense and defense with Steve Smith and Jason Tuck out for the season. They head to Washington next week to take on the Redskins.

Khamari Dansby scores his 4th quarter touchdown to bring the Bills within 2.

Deontae Knight records his first career sack as he takes down Eli Manning.

              Leinart

              Johnson

BUFFALO, NY -- The Buffalo Bills' quarterback crisis continues. After a poor showing this past Sunday against the Giants, QB Josh Johnson was traded to the Chicago Bears for a 4th and 7th round draft pick. "He just wasn't right for this team, we wish him the best of luck in Chicago," remarked GM Tony Telford. Many believe this trade comes as a result of Johnson demanding one last week, but Telford insists it was simply a personnel issue.

Following this trade, the Bills added perceived draft bust Matt Leinart in order to have three quarterbacks on the roster. Buffalo is hoping a change of scenery and scheme might help Leinart to develop into the player the Arizona Cardinals had hoped he would become when they selected him with the 10th overall pick in the 2006 draft.

Rain, six combined turnovers make for sloppy game in Miami

Khamari Dansby scores his second touchdown of the day on a pass from Brian Brohm

Miami, FL -- The Buffalo Bills ended their two-game losing streak in Miami last night. The Bills were led to victory by the strong play of their defense, as well as controlling the tempo thanks to another rushing performance over 100 yards from Fred Jackson. Buffalo's defense held the Dolphins to merely 6 offensive points. Miami scored both touchdowns on defense, as Will Allen and Sean Smith each returned an interception of a Brian Brohm pass for a touchdown.

Brian Hartline pulls in a tough catch on the sidelines for a 31 yard gain.

The Buffalo defense had a touchdown of their own on a 72 yard Kawika Mitchell interception return. Buffalo saw strong play out of their special teams unit as well. Following a 2nd touchdown pass to Khamari Dansby with 0:26 left in the first half, backup strong safety Lawrence Wilson forced a fumble on the kick return. The fumble was recovered by WR Jordunn Williams and ultimately led to a Mason Crosby field goal to send the Bills to the locker room up 27-10.

Buffalo was able to still attain the victory despite poor play from Brohm, as he threw 3 interceptions in the game and only completed 44% of his passes. Luckily, Jackson was able to power the offense, after not eclipsing the 100-yard mark in the last two games. Buffalo dominated time of possession, consuming over twice as much clock as the Dolphins. "This was a hard-fought victory. We had some troubles on offense but were able to overcome them," Lebeau said in the post-game press conference. "Our guys came out hungry for a victory today, and played hard to get it."

Telford's Take - This was an important game for us to win, in order to get back on track. After Brohm's play in recent weeks, we might have to try and pursue a new direction as far as the quarterback position is concerned. We need to determine what we have in Brohm, McCoy, and Leinart. We very well may be forced to draft a quarterback in the coming draft. I love the way the defense played though; lights out. Lawrence Wilson might just earn himself a starting gig down the road if he keeps hitting like that on special teams. Dansby is proving to be a quite the weapon on offense, I'm loving the way this team is beginning to look.

Yep, this is great stuff. I've been kicking around the idea of doing a dynasty thread... and if I do... I'm going to completely steal your ideas for layout and presentation.

                          The Crosby Show
Neither team scores a touchdown, as Crosby's 7 field goals lead to a Buffalo victory

Mason Crosby's 7 field goals accounted for the only points on the Buffalo scoreboard.

Santana Moss catches a would-be touchdown, but it was overturned.

Landover, MD -- The Buffalo Bills came out the victor in a hard-fought battle against the Washington Redskins where neither team was able to reach the end zone. Buffalo's Mason Crosby made an impressive 7 field goals, finishing one shy of tying the record set by Rob Bironas in 2007. The Buffalo defense continued to make plays and limit the damage imposed by the opposing offense, only allowing 3 points for the entire game. Washington's lone field goal was the result of a play originally ruled touchdown being challenged and overturned, as Redskins receiver Santana Moss caught the ball with one foot out of bounds.

Fred Jackson follows behind 6'10" lead blocker Vondray Neal.

The Redskins offense was never able to get their momentum going, as Donovan McNabb completed a mere 35% of his attempted passes. On the flipside, the Bills offense saw much success moving the football but was unable to finish a drive to result in 7 points. Brian Brohm successfully managed the ballgame and Fred Jackson recorded his 4th 100-yard performance of the season.

"Sooner or later, people are going to start to respect this defense," head coach Dick Lebeau told reporters, "We've got a strong unit and they proved that today. They'll continue to prove it throughout the remainder of the season." Veteren defensive end Marcus Stroud continued his impressive play by tallying 2 sacks in the game. Special teams standout Lawrence Wilson forced yet another fumble on a kick return and is really making a good impression on the coaching staff.

Telford's Take - Our defense got the job done today. Crosby is also making a bid for the Pro Bowl as a kicker. Glad we were able to go into the bye week on a two-game winning streak. We need to use this extra week wisely in order to prepare for a matchup against the New York Jets.

CJ Spiller so for this season: 20 rushes for 44 yards.
