Re: No More Brady - A Ryan Mallett Patriots Story (Madden 13)

    2013 - Week #12

    D. Williams Back for Upcoming Game - DeAngelo Williams is looking forward to being back on the field after nursing an injury.

Get Up! - Marques Colston wanted to play big for his Saints this week, and he did so by catching 2 touchdown passes in a 36-32 victory for New Orleans.

    D. Jackson Unassailable - DeSean Jackson returned 2 kicks for touchdowns to undo the Cowboys in a 59-52 win.

Raiders undone at home - The Oakland Raiders came out of today's game with a loss at home at the hands of the Kansas City Chiefs.

    See Who's Tweetin'
@AdamSchefterEA - DeAngelo Williams has been at practice this week, and he's cleared to play in this week's game.
@MikeHillEA - Been talking about Tony Romo all day today, won't stop now. #NFCPoW
@RoFloEA - Andrew Luck was solid gold this week. #AFCPoW
@MarkSchlerethEA - Ryan Kerrigan really played like a mad man this week. #NFCPoW
@WingozEA - I'd say Kevin Burnett is one of the main reasons I'm happy to be in the studio and not on the field in pads. #AFCPoW
@LArringtonEA - Marques Colston was the number one option in that game, for good reason.
@MarkSchlerethEA - Got to see the highlights from the Buccaneers game, what a day for Josh Freeman.
@MarkSchlerethEA - Coaches love a guy like Maurice Jones-Drew who can go out and get you consistent yardage on the ground.
@RoFloEA - Watched the replay of DeSean Jackson's kick return TDs, realized the defenders were all holograms.
@AdamSchefterEA - Raiders couldn't stop a nosebleed today, and no way they were stopping the Chiefs from winning.
@SkipBaylessEA - Nothing better than seeing a rushing attack that just dominates the game. Passing isn't the only option.
@WingozEA - The Cowboys have had a ridiculous year on the ground, racking up 2,000 yards of rushing offense.
@RossTuckerEA - Been fun watching a perfectly balanced running system in Dallas this year.

Re: No More Brady - A Ryan Mallett Patriots Story (Madden 13)

              No Offense Needed
Patriots win a game where no offensive touchdowns were made
              PATRIOTS 23 - Chargers 12

Foxboro, MA - There comes a time in every NFL team's season where your Special Teams come up big. This was that time for the Patriots. Not one single point was scored by Ryan Mallett and his offense. Luckily for them, the San Diego offense was the same.

Two names: LaRod Stephens-Howling and Derrick Brailsford. These are your returners. One for kick-offs and one for punts, and they certainly filled their rolls today....

Let's start with rookie Derrick Brailsford. Quick little guy who is listed as a wide receiver but absolutely has no hands. Dropped almost everything in pre-season, but Coach Gerard saw something in him...his quickness. Derrick has the ability to react extremely fast with his feet and legs. Took the ball on his side of the field and darted out to the left. The Chargers were expecting him to turn up the middle of the field, but he kept moving left. Got by every defender til about the 30 yard line and saw a Charger's player coming at him on the side. Instead of running out of bounds, he slowed his step just enough to make the defender fly across his face and then turned it upfield to the endzone...his first of his career. First of many...

Next on to Mr. LSH. He was picked up midseason by the Pats last year and was signed to a contract to remain here. He has shown us why, as he has taken 2 pigskins back for 6 points. I can't tell you I'm surprised at this, but it just impresses me more that he was able to step up in a game that saw no passing yards for Ryan Mallett in the first quarter. Let's see if this gets the attention of the Pro Bowl voters as the season comes to a close in 4 weeks.

As for the rest of the game, not much to say. No one stood out. No one stepped up. I honestly don't know what would have happened if the defense had an off game.

This was the first game of a 4-game home stretch. Houston comes to town next week. You know, the ones in the Super Bowl last year? Well they aren't so good this year and hopefully the Pats can continue this win streak into next week. CYA!

Defense Comes Through - The Patriots defense hauled down Philip Rivers, racked up 4 sacks to beat the Chargers.
@LArringtonEA - The Patriots defense had all the answers against an under-performing Chargers O-line, tall 4 sacks.

Hoping for a Quick Turnaround - Casey Hampton knows his team needs him out there so he's hoping for a quick recovery.
@AdamSchefterEA - Casey Hampton will be out at least a couple of games, according to team officials.

Defending Home Turk - Not much to complain about in Foxboro this week as the Patriots came out on top against the Chargers 23-12.
@RossTuckerEA - It's always the rule: protect home field. New England did that.

Re: No More Brady - A Ryan Mallett Patriots Story (Madden 13)

                2013 - Week #13

Tee Off - UTEP K Tyler Bandera is considered one of the best kickers in college football this year.

March To Victory - Matt Ryan made mincemeat of the Texans' defense while scoring an almost-perfect passer rating in a win.

Near Perfect in Win - Alex Smith led the 49ers to victory with near-perfect passer rating of 147.9.

What an Arm - It's been a rags-to-riches story for Tom Brady, but he's long since been accepted as one of the best. He now has 46,234 passing yards in his career.

Steady as He Goes - It's becoming less of a question that Randy Moss will end up in Canton. He's moved into 6th on the all-time receptions list.

Chasing a Legend - Drew Brees' arm looks as good as ever, and he's now 5th all-time on the NFL passing yardage list.

Empty Handed - The Panthers lost on the road 49-42 to the Redskins this week.

                See Who's Tweetin'
@ScottWrightEA - Tyler Bandera's one of those rare prizes: a college kicker that can make a difference for a generation. #janikowski
                @SCollinsEA - Steve Smith was a whiz kid in Week 13. #NFCPoW
@WingozEA - It's really no surprise to see Fred Jackson crowned as the AFC offensive player of the week.
@AdamSchefterEA - Announcement was just made, Terrell Thomas the #NFCPoW
@SkipBaylessEA - You don't get to be one of the best at middle linebacker like Rolando McClain by accident. #AFCPoW
@SkipBaylessEA - Games like these put QBs on everyone's radar -- Matt Ryan was excellent, now I'm expecting more.
@MarkSchlerethEA - Roddy White has been on the same page all year long with his quarterback. #keepthrowing
@MikeHillEA - The passer rating is like calculus to me, but kudos to Alex Smith for being nearly perfect. #49ers
@SkipBaylessEA - Running backs may be less important now, but you can't tell me Rashard Mendenhall getting 1,000 yards is a bad thing.
@WingozEA - 1,000 yards for Fred Jackson, and would you really be surprised if he just keeps on trucking?
@RossTuckerEA - 1,000-yd rushers aren't what they used to be, but it's not like you don't want BenJarvus Green-Ellis on your team.
@mortreportEA - Many felt Ron Rivera would have a better game plan coming into that game against the Redskins.
@SkipBaylessEA - You just get a sense that the offensive chemistry is better with Steve Smith on the field.
@MarkSchlerethEA - Incredible stuff by Steve Smith today. Precise routes and great timeing helped him make all those catches.
@SCollinsEA - If you want special, look no further than the game Steve Smith had this week!
@RoFloEA - Fantasy owners, be sure to say thanks to Robert Griffin III -- or curse his name if you had to go H2H against him.
@RoFloEA - Spoke with Reggie Bush, and he feels 1,000 yards is the bare minimum he should get each year.
@MattMillerEA - Now 5th on the all-time list, Drew Brees is passing his way to the hall of fame.
@ScottWrightEA - Randy Moss was always such a projectable athlete, that's what GMs loved about him before he was drafted.
@MikeHillEA - Tom Brady will not end as 8th on the all-time passing yards list, he'll keep rising.

Re: No More Brady - A Ryan Mallett Patriots Story (Madden 13)

                        Brought Down to Size
Mallett throws 4 INTs in Loss to Texans
                        PATRIOTS 24 - Texans 37

Foxboro, MA - ...and the win streak comes to an end. New England gets it's 2nd loss on the season on the back of Ryan Mallett's 4 interceptions. Houston's offense was nearly unstoppable as well. First down after first down after first down.

Many things went wrong for the Patriots. 1) Couldn't get a run game. Ridley has been great all season, but the Texans defense would not let the Patriots get off the line of scrimmage. 2) Mallett's performance. Fans in New England are starting to wonder if Ryan Mallett is the QB for this team. Sapozink is sitting on the bench ready to show what he can do. 3) Unable to stop Arian Foster. The Patriots need to stop the run in order to give their offense a chance to perform. Over 200 yards is unacceptable. 4) Allowing Schaub to hit for over 90%. No QB should be that accurate against this secondary.

Only a couple things went right. 1) Big hit on Foster to cause a fumble and Cason returns for TD. 2) Rob Gronkowski is your man in the red zone. 2 TDs really helped keeping the Patriots in this game, but Mallett tried to squeeze in a 3rd and it was intercepted.

Hosting Buffalo next week will be challenging as they are right on the heels of the Patriots in the division. Huge game! See you next week!

Arian Foster Runs it In - Arian Foster tallied 2 TD runs as his Texans beat the Patriots.
@MarkSchlerethEA - Arian Foster trucks Texans to victory. Never let his wheels stop turning.

Home Invasion - A boisterous home crowd didn't get to the Texans this week.
@MikeHillEA - Got to look for that little extra on the road and #Texans had it this week.

I changed to Jarod's sliders for the last game. Went straight to the Blue set, but I'm gonna tweak them game by game as I finish this season. Was getting bored with my last set.

                            2013 - Week #14

High Praise - Takatua's strength and consistency has many GMs watching him very closely.

Feline Struggles - QB Tiger Frazier had a rough day in Verginia Tech's bowl game agains the Golden Bears.

Next Hester - It was an amazing season for UCLA FS Tyrecous Lee, who returned five kickoffs and three interceptions for touchdowns. Oh, and he was the runner-up in the Heisman voting.

Changing the Record Books - Drew Brees is certainly making his presence be known as he nears the NFL single-season passing touchdowns record.

Raiding the Record Books - With every interception, Ed Reed knows he's zoning in on an all-time record. He passed Ronnie Lott this week and is now 6th on the all-time INT list.

Home-Field Advantage Not Enough - The Jaguars fall to the Falcons at home 38-35.

@ScottWrightEA - Joseph Talakua has the strength of an ox and the consistency of Letterman. He'll make some d-coordinator very happy.
@WingozEA - Tiger Frazier looked lost against Cal. Coming down to earth.
@ToddMcShayEA - Hard to believe a FS was a Heisman runner-up, but Tyrecous Lee is special. His five kickoff returns show he's special.
@mortreportEA - This week ends with Tony Romo atop the #NFC. #PoW
@SkipBaylessEA - Some of the thanks has to go to the defense that went up against Fred Jackson. #AFCPoW
@RossTuckerEA - Morris Claiborne just made all the plays this week. #NFCPoW
@RossTuckerEA - If Paul Kruger wants to be part of scouting reports, this is how you do it. #AFCPoW
@SkipBaylessEA - You're telling me Mike Shanahan doesn't KNOW he has to do better down the stretch? #hotseat #Redskins
@MarkSchlerethEA - It's not a coincidence the Ravens have done this on the groun. Great blocking, great talent.
@SkipBaylessEA - Nothing better than seeing a rushing attack that just dominates the game. Passing isn't the only option!
@RossTuckerEA - Been fun watching a perfectly balanced running system in Baltimore this year.
@MikeHillEA - Ed Reed said after the game that he's always shaped his game around taking risks to make plays. #recordwatch
@SkipBaylessEA - Don't know if the Ravens will win another game without Terrell Suggs on the field. He's out for the year.
@RoFloEA - Spoke with Peyton Hillis, and he feels 1,000 yards is the bare minimum he should get each year.
@RossTuckerEA - I don't think Dwayne Bowe is ever satisfied so he won't give a second thought to 1,000 yards.
@RoFloEA - Clearly Calvin Johnson Jr. is having a very good season.
@WingozEA - 1,000 yards for Darren McFadden, and would you really be surprised if he just keeps on trucking?
@RossTuckerEA - Just let Rex Ryan coach. He's got enough pressure already being the coach of the Jets. #hotseat
@MikeHillEA - He hasn't broken the TD record yet, but you can put Drew Brees into the category of elite. #montana #brady
@SkipBaylessEA - Running backs may be less important now, but you can't tell me Cedric Benson getting 1,000 yards is a bad thing.
@SkipBaylessEA - Championship teams dominate turnover differential. #Cowboys
@SkipBaylessEA - You just get a sense that the offensive chemistry is better with Miles Austin on the field.
@WingozEA - Ryan Fitzpatrick did a great job throwing TDs this week. #fantasy
@mortreportEA - Things look bad for the Titans, which means things could look bad for M. Munchak at the end of the year.
@SCollinsEA - Everybody appreciates a tight football game because then every play matters! #Jaguars #Falcons
@MikeHillEA - 9,000 yards and probably plentry more to follow for Michael Turner.
