Oh I'm not giving up on him, I just think he needs some serious confidence boosters and one or two BIG games - which my next game versus the Jets I am flipping the script and going with a Pass Heavy attack. I have much higher priorities in the upcoming draft over a backup QB.. But oh man, I could imagine kicking yourself in the butt after dropping Rivers haha

Yeah this season is going really well so far. The last couple of losses have been tough but these games are so good and so close its amazing to play them! Definitely want to see Carr turn it around but the addition of Randall Cobb is certainly having a major impact on the passing game.. Just you wait until this next week is over - I am going Pass Heavy and I want to see Cobb with at least 10 receptions, and Carr is going to throw 40+ for (I'm hoping) 300+ yards for the first time this season.

It was Madden 08 I think. I haven't done a fantasy draft since haha. Got some rookie QB, can't even remember his name. He was so atrocious I quit the franchise 4 years in because it wasn't even fun playing as him lol. Never even used all the picks I got from Rivers trade lol.

            Draft Stories & Scouting
Team Needs: WR, TE, RG, RT, LE, RE, DT, MLB, CB, FS, K
            Scouting Points: 720

            • Tackled for a Loss: Georgia LOLB Peniel Pederson can't end his series of lackluster performances and draft exxperts take notice.
              • "What is going on right now with Pederson? He's been a non-factor for a while now and is becoming a non-factor in my latest draft rankings." - Todd McShay

            • Back to Basics?: LB Brion Godfrey is a perfect storm of inconsistency. Pittsburgh is shutout 24-0.
              • "Godfrey has a good week, then a bad week, then a great week, then a terrible week. Scouts can't figure him out." - Todd McShay

            Players Scouted
            • Ronnie Orr - DT - Nose Tackle / Base 3-4, 1st Round #3
              • PMVA's: Power Moves: A, Block Shedding, Tackle, Pursuit, Hit Power: B, Finesse Moves, Awareness, Play Recognition: D

He definitely is a bull rushing DT, but I dont think he's worth the #3 tag

            • Logan Corbett - TE - Vertical Threat / Spread, 1st Round #9
              • PMVA's: Speed, Catch, Spec. Catch: B, Cth in Traffic, Release, Impact Block: C, Rte Running, Run Block, Awareness: D

A solid player at #9 and I don't mind the poor route running or Run Blocking, I am more interested in his solid catching ability.

            • Dain Sturdivant - DT - Nose Tackle / Zone Blitz 3-4, 1st Round #10
              • PMVA's: Pwr Moves, Tackle, Pursuit: B, Hit Power: B (80) Awareness: C, F. Moves, Block Shedding, P. Recognition: D

Accidentally double scouted the Hit Power stat which completely killed my Scouting Points for the year; but definitely a much more solid pick at DT than Orr.

            • DeSean Joe - MLB - Balanced / Hybrid Defense, 1st Round #14
              • PMVA's: Pursuit: A, Speed, Tackle, Hit Power, Block Shedding: B, P. Recognition, Awareness: C

An extremely good looking prospect. I am really happy with his PMVAs and the mid-1st projection makes him even more enticing.

            • Savon Hurst - TE - Vertical Threat / Balanced Offense, 1st Round #16
              • PMVA's: Speed, Catching, Spec Catch: B, Cth in Traffic, Release, Impact Block: C, Rte Running, Run Block: D

Hurst really is the exact same player as Corbett but is 3 years older.

owever, Kembrell Thompkins has definitely earned a bigger role on this offense but while he is going to see less targets, I will run more 3-WR sets so he gets his play time. I also find Hester too valuable to use as my return specialist, but he will back up Denarius Moore on Kickoffs and Punts.

This game was a complete and utter failure. We had 4 Turnovers and I am beyond disappointed with the team and now Andre Ellington will miss significant time thanks to a Torn Shoulder Labrum.

The Offense was mediocre at best today. I wanted to show off the passing game today, but aside from our first play from scrimmage there wasn't much to show. The first play was a play-action bomb that left Randall Cobb beating out Dee Milliner for a long 57 yard bomb. However, on the very next play Andre Ellington fumbled and lost the ball; which led to a very surprising trend for the day - fumbles. Ellington had 2 on the day, and on the last one he left the game with his injury and Marcel Reece had 1 as well. In his stead, Jamerius Harrison had a fairly great day, rushing for 70 yards on 14 carries and getting into the end zone once. Derek Carr did finish the day with a very respectable 242 yards on 22 of 35 throws with 1 TD and 1 INT, and again Randall Cobb had a huge day, catching 8 balls for 129 yards. We cannot win games if we turn the ball over and today was just a major failure on that aspect; and I am really expecting a turn-around next week.

The Defense was also, mediocre, at best. This game was the opposite of how the season has gone so far, with our Pass Defense doing exceptionally well while our Rush Defense couldn't stop anything. Demarco Murray had a huge game busting off 189 yards on 26 carries, Chris Ivory ran for 48 yards on 12 carries, and Geno Smith ran for 22 on 5 - with Demarco and Geno finding the end zone on the ground. However, Geno had a good day throwing the ball, going 20/26 for 197 yards, 2 TDs and 2 INTs. So if there is one positive to take away from this terrible game, it is the fact that our Pass Defense got 2 INTs and registered 3 sacks.

              Notes
An absolutely awful game last week versus the Jets. 4 Turnovers is way too much to get a win, Andre Ellington had his worst game as a member of the Raiders and fumbled twice before getting hurt and will miss the next 4 games. I will have to rely more heavily on the passing game, but Jamerius Harrison will get a solid workload as well; and Harrison has been solid all season, so hopefully that continues.

Finally we got back to our winning ways. After a 3-game slide we finally showed that we can put up numbers and stop offenses.

The Offense today was actually quite great, even without our superstar Andre Ellington. Rookie backup Jamerius Harrison absolutely dominated on the ground game today, popping off 109 yards on 24 carries and finding the end zone as well. Marcel Reece was able to get 9 carries for 45 yards as well, and was a major factor in keeping drives alive by busting through the pile on 3rd and short plays. Derek Carr finally got out of his slump and had a great day, throwing for 202 yards on 19/28 passing for 2 TDs and 1 INT. The big target for the day was Randall Cobb who caught 5 balls for 92 yards and 2 TDs; his second TD was a last-second 'rub-it-in-their-faces' type of play (I was already winning and called a play-action pass as time expired and bombed it to Cobb for the score). Devin Hester also had 5 catches and mustered 59 yards.

The Defense was the real star of the show today. Anges Hadley once again absolutely dominated today, rustling 12 tackles and had an interception that was almost returned for a score, but he was caught up inside the 10 yardline. He is becoming a true force to be reckoned with and could become the next Ray Lewis. Johnny Manziel was actually having a fantastic day before exiting the game with an injury, throwing 9 of 10 completions for 94 yards and 1 TD to Jared Cook, and added 60 yards on the ground on just 3 scrambles. While Manziel was able to dominate our defense, once he left the game there was just no life to that offense and the Raiders just took over. Matt McGloin came in, in relief but had a terrible day, throwing for only 66 yards on 11 of 15 throws with 0 TDs and 1 INT. And we didn't allow anything to be gotten on the ground as Ben Tate was only able to put up 29 yards on 13 carries and backup Isaiah Crowell put up 42 on 7 carries and found the end zone.

This is the type of game we need to have on a weekly basis if we want to make the playoffs. A solid job all around and we need to bring this attitude every week. Our rookies and 2nd year players are the future of this team and are looking like stars already, we just need to keep their lights shining.

                • CPU QB Accuracy: Was: 37 ----- Now: 22

I want to see if having the QB Accuracy lowered around the same number as the User accuracy, if there will be more badly thrown balls. I have come to realize (along with user SteelCityColt) that the only incompletions that are really seen are due to INTs, defended balls, and passes caught out of bounds or dropped - but NONE due to poorly thrown passes.

                Injuries

                • Tyvon Branch - SS - 88 Overall - Broken Collarbone, Out for 4 Weeks
                • Andre Ellington - HB - 91 Overall - Shoulder Tear, Out for 3 Weeks

                Notes
Harrison had a great game in starting for the injured Andre Ellington and I really hope that continues. Derek Carr had a low-total throwing day, but was actually quite successful through the air, and I hope to increase the passing game a little more and hope he doesn't falter any more. Randall Cobb is clearly having a great season, and I hope to continue that.

I may start to look into Corbin Stephenson (the QB that had the Draft Story from last week) if Carr cannot turn it around; but as of right now Carr is safe.

The most realistic game to date - I am extremely happy with the changes I made to the CPU Accuracy and the stats show some really good numbers.

The Offense today was great. It finally looks like the Raiders are back to their regular selves, the Raiders we were in the beginning of the season; and I can't wait to see how we do with Andre Ellington back in the black and silver too. Derek Carr had a great day, throwing for 219 yards, 3 TDs and 2 INTs - and spread the ball around very well amongst his top receivers; Randall Cobb finishing with a game-high 9 catches for 109 yards and 1 TD, and Devin Hester had 6 for 55 and 1 TD. Jamerius Harrison had another big day on the ground, running for 103 yards on 17 carries; he really couldn't get anything going on the ground in the first half and then busted off a HUGE run to open up the defense and thus began his trouncing of the Green Bay D.

The Defense did incredible today against the usually-good Packers Offense. We did have the benefit of not facing Jordy Nelson today, so that was a plus, but Aaron Rodgers did well without his superstar WR, tossing up 306 yards on 27/38 passing with 1 TD and 1 INT. The numbers look extremely life-like after the slider change. His big receivers on the day were Scott Hatcher who had a team-high 8 grabs for 75 yards, and Davante Adams had 6 grabs for 120 yards, including the garbage-time, 79 yard BOMB that went for a score as time expired. The Front-7 did really well today stopping the run until the 3rd Quarter when Eddie Lacy broke off a 55 yard rush that went for a score, other than that he had a pretty good day rushing for 99 yards on 14 carries (but 13 carries for 44 looks a LOT worse than his final stat line).

Let us continue this hot streak we're on. Jamerius Harrison is looking more and more like a solid player that can serve up as some amazing trade bait or even take 40% of the workload even when Andre Ellington comes back.

Clearly the Wild Card standings are extremely tight knit right now, and I need this victory over the Ravens to knock them down and boost myself up. I will not be winning the division with the way the Broncos are playing, but I can help myself by winning my next few games which are against many of the teams in the Wild Card running with me.

                  • Razzle Dazzle: Javian Gore shows off supreme display of agility. Internet video surpasses 1M views.
                    • "Javian Gore has unbelievable swag. If only they had internet video's when I was his age. 10M hits guaranteed. #Truth" - Deion Sanders

                  • Receiving Bad News: Wisconsin WR Jaron Swanson leaves game after herniating disc in lower back. Not known if surgery is needed.
                    • "Being told back surgery needed for Swanson. Will be ready for draft, not sure in what shape." - Matt Miller

Any prospect that gets Deion Sanders commenting on him is a Star in the making. Unfortunately for me, he is a RB and that is definitely the one position I do not need to draft. Damn.

                  Notes
Harrison had yet another amazing game starting for the injured Ellington. Derek Carr had 3 TDs today but also 2 INTs. I really do like Carr but if it comes down to it, I may start to scout Stephenson starting next week when I have a little more points. Randall Cobb continues to destroy his opponents and I am aiming to continue that trend while Ellington is still out for another 2 weeks.

An insanely great game for the Raiders today, and I am really starting to see the offense come together as a unit - and not just a standard offense, we really do look like a top-tier offense at times.

The Offense today was astounding. Derek Carr was busting off passes left and right, and spreading the wealth around to gain the yards we needed to keep the game in our favor. We definitely took advantage of facing the bottom-ranked defense and Carr finished the game with 319 yards passing with 1 TD and 1 INT; an absolutely amazing number for Carr based off his past (I have only had a couple of 300 yard games with Carr before today). Randall Cobb left the game in the 2nd Quarter with a lower body injury but was able to return to the game in the 4th Quarter and he came up with a huge day; allowing the Raiders to maintain the lead and keep the final drives going - he finished with 7 catches for 132 yards, but failed to find the end zone. The only receiving TD was by Mychal Rivera from 1 yard out. The Rushing Attack was amazing once again, Jamerius Harrison busted off his 3rd straight 100 yard performance, 106 yards on 20 carries, and was also able to bust through the goal line for 2 scores.

The Defense was absolutely spectacular as well today. Joe Flacco had a hell of a game throwing the ball, going 27 of 33 for 292 yards, but only was able to throw for 1 score and we intercepted him 2 times. His big target on the day was Marlon Brown who constantly beat out Tarell Brown for 10 catches for 108 yards. Aside from that little downfall, we were able to shut down the Ravens offense, and we really shut down their running game; as Knowshon Moreno was able to run for 43 yards on 17 carries.
