Jake Luton led his team for two first half touchdowns to give the Vandals a first half two touchdown lead, as the Vandals defense shut down the Hoosiers through the first thrity minutes. Yet the Vandals would suffer a second half collapse, coupled with three field goals including a 49 yarder with a minute to go that put the Hoosiers ahead for good. It was a tough loss for this team to stomach, and it could've brought them to .500, their bowl hopes are alive but fading.

A consolation victory for a team that didn't have much to play for. At the very least it's a moral victory and if they could win out the last two conference games they would finish over .500 in Sunbelt play, which is a major point of motivation to round into next season with. Anthony Monken struggled at times with three interceptions and a sub 50% completion rate, that wouldn't matter though, thanks to a huge performance from his wide out D'Marius Gillespie, it bailed out a poor Anthony Monken showing to claim a victory.
