Re: The Legacy of Tyler Kozlov
Cedric Wright hauls in his second touchdown
38 vs
25
Mistakes keep the Mountaineers alive
These Aggies came into West Virginia and steam rolled their competition but the final scorecard didn't reflect that. Despite nearly getting 4x as much offense as the opposition, the Mountaineers were never very far out of place. West Virginia however struggled from the onset, not posing much of a threat on offense despite their versatile halfback Donte Thomas-Williams. Thomas-Williams was limited to just six carries, despite being in the runnings for a heisman a season ago.
This one appeared to be a tight one at least in the first quarter before the Aggies rattled off 28 straight, it was also aided that Erich DiStefano missed the final frame with a concussion. The first quarter saw the Aggies come out and score on their first drive, a four yard touchdown run sealing the first points. Will Crest led his team downfield and answered right back with a touchdown toss of his own to Chase Jones, but the next three quarters would feature 4 interceptions (one being on a two point conversion), Aaron Wade brought in three of these (one nearly being brought back, the two point conversion interception).
The four scores could be completed all through the air, two in the second and two in the third. Jonathon Saunders and Jonathan Mitchell both added touchdowns in the first half, of 9 and 32 yards respectively that jumped the Aggies out to a 21-7 lead. Where as Cedric Wright added 14 of his own on passes from 31 and 2 out. The score suddenly 35-7, and than the mistakes set in for the Aggies a pair of fumbles from Erich DiStefano, the final coming on the play he suffered his concussion. The first one would be scooped up by defensive tackle Taylor Martin and ran back for the score. The second would be punched in by Donte Thomas-Williams on a clean ten yard run that was reminiscent of his heisman campaign a season ago.
Despite losing Erich DiStefano, the defense wouldn't yield and despite allowing an early fourth quarter touchdown that brought the score within ten (35-25), the Aggies didn't break down one ounce, the defense tightened and smothered the underachieving West Virginia offense, leading to their seventh victory on the season.
This win improves the Aggies to 7-3 with just two remaining, their next matchup is a very tough one against the Texas Christian Horned Frogs, if an upset can somehow be pulled, the division remains in play, a loss would likely eliminate them pending on results from this Saturday's action!

Re: The Legacy of Tyler Kozlov
Week 12 Update
Eric Grant (HC) of the Idaho Vandals (SB)
(4-6)(2-4) BYE
424.3 OYPG (#51) 32.5 PPG
460.5 DYPG (#114) 41 PAPG
Top Performer:
Zach Mueller (HC) of the Rice Owls (CUSA)
(5-5)(4-2) W 33-28 vs Western Kentucky (7-3)
454.7 OYPG (#26) 31.6 PPG
424.8 DYPG (#80) 29 PAPG
Top Performer: Jeremy Jones (QB) 30-44 453 PaYds 1 TD 1 INT 99 RuYds 3 TD
This is a big one for the Owls, the Hilltoppers were favorites but couldn't keep it up against the Owls. The passing attack blew up and the Owls who face a tough schedule the rest of the way at least got a break by besting a strong squad. They sit only needing one win to be in a bowl game. Their upcoming game against Temple will decide the CUSA West.
John Valkyrie (HC) of the UL-Monroe Warhawks (SB)
(5-4)(3-3) W 56-44 vs Texas State (7-3)
456.8 OYPG (#24) 35.6 PPG
404.2 DYPG (#61) 26 PAPG
Top Performer: Anthony Monken (QB) 31-43 403 PaYds 3 TD 51 RuYds
The Wildcats came into this one favorites but couldn't hold onto the crown, as the Warhawks took care of business with a strong 56-44 victory that gives the Bobcats their first sunbelt defeat of the season. Anthony Monken came up huge yet again for the Warhawks. A moderate slate to close out their season could see the Warhawks move comfortably into a bowl game or cause some tension.
Quinn Retney (HC) of the UMass Minutemen (AMER)
(4-6)(1-5) L 28-38 @ USF (5-5)
367.1 OYPG (#106) 26.2 PPG
373.2 DYPG (#26) 25 PAPG
Top Performer: Andrew Verboys (QB) 7-20 82 PaYds 2 TD 1 INT 72 RuYds 1 TD
Two weeks ago, this Minutemen squad was 4-4 and had bowl aspirations. Two weeks later and those hopes are pushed to the brink following their defeat to the Bulls, their chance of bowl eligibility has dropped from 48% to just 11%. Their biggest obstacle that remains is a strong Marshall squad. A tough way to end a promising season.
Corey Warby (HC) of the Vanderbilt Commodores (SEC)
(2-9)(2-6) W 35-14 vs Kentucky (4-6)
388 OYPG (#92) 24 PPG
474.8 DYPG (#117) 37 PAPG
Top Performer: Ernest Stovall (QB) 26-51 323 PaYds 4 TD 3 INT 82 RuYds
The Commodores defense actually pitched a shutout on Saturday in what was the best defensive performance this unit has had all season. The main difference however is that Ernestt Stovall tossed a pair of INT which were brought back for scores giving the Wildcats their only points. This was a deadlocked game going into the final frame where the Commodores pulled away for good with a pair of Stovall touchdowns and their own defensive touchdown. Vandy ends their season next week against Tennessee, and they are twenty point underdogs, the Commodores have bested preseason expectations by one victory.
Jamal Frazier (HC) of the Wyoming Cowboys (MWC)
(5-5)(3-3) W 38-16 vs Washington State (3-7)
397.8 OYPG (#77) 27.3 PPG
391.9 DYPG (#44) 27 PAPG
Top Performer: Nick Smith (QB) 9-14 102 PaYds 69 RuYds 2 TD
The Cowboys are edging closer and closer to bowl eligibility and in doing so have claimed a tremendous victory with a sound thrashing of the Washington State Cougars. Washington hung tough for the first half but fell apart as the game drew on and the Cowboys eased their way to victory. Odds makers have the Cowboys at a 63% chance of making a bowl birth with matchups on tap with the (4-6) Fresno State Bulldogs and (2-8) New Mexico Lobos. Wyoming is only a 52% favorite against FSU, but that climbs to 73% against the Lobos.

Re: The Legacy of Tyler Kozlov
Ugh i hope Coach Warby doesnt get fired after this season. Do we have a better "system" quarterback on the roster or coming in? Seems like Stovall has been our achilles heel this year. From Friday to Sunday: The Playing Career of Jace Williams

Re: The Legacy of Tyler Kozlov
Your offensive talent should go up next season. Your defensive front seven should be substantially better, but your safeties (which are your best players) will take a hit, but at both, you're dropping from 90's to mid 80's (projected).Bulls|Bears|Cubs| Blackhawks|Huskies|Horned Frogs|
