        Portland Schedule Almost Complete

Trappers to open schedule at Penn State

Portland, Maine - It was announced early today that Portland would open their inaugural season with a serious test, at Penn State. The Trappers will also travel to Syracuse at some point to face the Orange. In addition, Portland agreed to a home and home series in 2016 and 2017 with future C-USA foes Western Kentucky, Marshall, and North Texas as well as New Mexico State and Idaho from the Sun Belt conference. This leaves the Trappers with just two open spots on the schedule needing filled.

To anyone following along so far: First off let me start by saying thank you for following along. I know it's boring right now with no games being played, but I want to make sure I lay out everything during this first season. The games will come soon, I promise.

This has the makings of a great dynasty here, man. Looks good. I expect this one should last a good while.

Sucks you had to kick out my UAB Blazers though.

Thanks for checking in man, I hope to take this dynasty out to at least 10 seasons. Will probably need that long at least to make these guys national champions, my recruiting rules make sure of that. Sorry about kicking out your Blazers though, they were just the easy go to for kicking out a team

                      Recruiting Watch

                      Who are They?

                      Portland, Maine - We learned last week that the Trappers had 12 total commits so far in the 2015 recruiting cycle. You've already met 8 of them, here are the 4 newest signees;

Benjamin Martindale, 1* FB, Essex Junction, VT
Ben is the very definition of short and stocky at 5'9" and 222lbs. He has decent speed for a fullback and should help seal the edge on sweeps and toss plays. He may see time as a short yardage running back as well.
                      Scouts Initial Rating: 56ovr
                      Scouts Actual Rating: 53ovr

Mike Reid, 1* CB, Valley Falls, RI
Mike has good size for a corner at 6'1" and should match up well against any taller receivers he faces. Has the ability to go up and defend jump balls, as well as the speed to defend the deep passes. May see time as a return man as well.

Erik Morton, 1* WR, Utica, NY
Erik has the height to play the outside at 6'3". Needs to work on catching the ball, but can develop into a reliable number one target in a year or two.

Jarvis Hayes, JUCO 1* K/P, Tiverton, RI
Jarvis will come to campus as a Senior, having only one year of eligibility left. Has a strong leg, but struggles with his accuracy. Jarvis will likely handle the kicking and punting duties for the Trappers in 2016.

Welch Field Officially Open to Public

Orange Team Wins Inaugural Alumni Game

Portland, Maine - The public was allowed into Welch Field for the first time ever today for the Trappers inaugural alumni football game and official stadium opening. The Orange team would quickly gain the upperhand behind the arm of former baseball pitcher Micky "The Mick" Rodriguez, and former track standout Benny Gardner. The Orange team would jump out to a 22-0 lead before the white team scored on a double reverse play where former Trapper point guard Neal Zimmerman crossed over and faked out the entire Orange team defense on his way to the endzone. The two point conversion would be stopped and the game would end 22-6 Orange team.

College President Henry Welch revealed the jerseys that the team would be wearing for the 2016 season and beyond at halftime of the game. The Trappers will wear Orange jerseys with grey helmets and pants for home games, and white jerseys for away games.

If you flip back a couple pages I actually have almost my entire 2016 schedule laid out. I don't have it set week to week yet because I'm not there yet. But being an independent school I can pretty much schedule whoever I want, almost whenever I want.

I am confused, did you have to plug your team in to the 2013 season and are just ignoring what is happening in those games, with the full intent to say you started your team off in the 2014 season, or is there an actual way to build your team with out any record counting towards it. I think I know the answer, but wanted to double check.

Also Love the idea of Having a team start off with All freshman's in your first season.
