In game it says it's 2013. But I started with the 2015 rosters, so for the purpose of this dynasty I'll be starting in the year 2015. For my non-existent 2015(2013) "season" I scheduled as many FCS schools as I could, and then schools like UMass and Georgia State to fill out the rest of the schedule. That way I could minimize my "teams" influence on the league as much as possible. I'm only doing the recruiting for this year and simming all the games. Next season when I have my team on campus I'll actually play the games too.

Recruiting Watch
Trappers hand out final two Scholarships, nab two Recruits
Portland, Maine - Coach Shaw and the Trappers nabbed two more crucial pieces of their 2015 recruiting class in receiver Jeff Abrams and linebacker Arnold Smith. The Trappers have now used all 15 athletic scholarships that they were awarded by the university, but I would expect at least a few more players to commit on a non-scholarship basis.
Jeff Abrams, JUCO 1* WR, Kitchener, CN
As a JUCO junior Jeff will come to Portland with only one year of eligibility. Has good size at 6'1" and 215lbs and the ability to jump up high and grab jump balls. Not the fastest guy on the field, but should make a good #1 option for the year he is on campus.
Scouts Initial Rating: 63ovr
Scouts Actual Rating: 63ovr
Arnold Smith, JUCO 1* OLB, Sanford, ME
Another JUCO junior, Arnold will likely play weak side linebacker for the Trappers. Can move laterally in pass coverage with ease, but struggles coming downhill to stop the run.
Scouts Initial Rating: 55ovr
Scouts Actual Rating: 56ovr

Portland Names Defensive Coordinator
Marcus Fowler to coach defense for the Trappers
Portland, Maine - Coach Shaw called a press conference today to officially introduce Marcus Fowler as the Trappers defensive coordinator for the 2016 season and beyond. Fowler played his college ball at the University at Buffalo along with head coach Johnny Shaw. He was at 3 year letterman at middle linebacker and was named an All American his senior year. Fowler was most recently serving as the linebackers coach at Boston College.
Coach Shaw on Marcus Fowler:
"I've known Marcus for YEARS. We go way back to our playing days in Buffalo. He's a fiery guy, just like myself and we gel well together. I'm excited to have him on my sidelines next season."

It's been fun watching this program get "built" throughout the season. Can't wait till the real deal begins!
I also like the very unique name of "Trappers,"...does it have the audio for that in the game or does it just say "the home team"? I was surprised it had audio for "Seawolves."Comment

I'm honestly not sure if the game will say "Trappers" or not. I just wanted something unique. I had a couple ideas tumbling around in my brain and finally decided on the Trappers because of that area's history with the fur trade and stuffCheck out my dynasty thread:

Hey thanks for checking in man. I got slammed this last week with tests and stuff for college so I had to take a break from updating here. I'm hoping I can get rolling again tomorrow, and hopefully start the 2016 season by Monday.

Glendale, AZ - The 2015 BCS National Championship game will be played at the University of Pheonix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. This year's matchup features the Big Ten Champion Ohio State Buckeyes and the American Conference Champion Navy Midshipmen. The Buckeyes are 12-1, with their only loss of the year coming in week two at home against San Diego State University. They've since rattled off 11 straight wins, including a convincing 28-10 victory over #12 Minnesota in the Big Ten Championship game. The #1 ranked Midshipmen are 13-0, and are the only unbeaten team left in the NCAA. However, they only have one real signature win coming in week ten in which they beat then ranked #6 Notre Dame in South Bend, 21-18. The outcome of this game will hinge directly on the ability of Heisman Trophy winner Kennan Reynolds' ability to move the ball on the Buckeyes #1 ranked defense. If Ohio State can shut down Keenan Reynolds, it will be a long day for the Midshipmen.
Lee Corso picks Ohio State to win, 28-25.

Re: We're building something here... an NCAA 14 teambuilder dynasty
Ohio State wins National Championship game
Glendale, AZ - The Ohio State Buckeyes are the 2015 National Champions after defeating the Navy Midshipmen 38-28. The Buckeyes used a 24 point second quarter to propel themselves to the title. Ohio State turned to third string running back Brionte Dunn after losing Ezekiel Elliot early in the season, and second stringer Curtis Samuel in the Big Ten title game. Dunn came up huge for the Buckeyes, racking up 231 yards and three touchdowns on the ground. The Buckeye's defense was able to limit Heisman Trophy winner Keenan Reynolds to just 62 yards on the ground, and 132 through the air.
Navy would strike first, on an 11yard Reynold's pass to wideout Julian Turner. That would be the only score of the first frame. Ohio State would get on the board early in the second quarter on a 6 yard run by Brionte Dunn to tie the game at 7-7. They would tack on a 46yard field goal with just over 4minutes left till half to go up 10-7, and would hold the lead for the rest of the game. The Buckeyes would score again with just over 2minutes till half on a 2yard dive by quarterback J.T. Barret to take a 17-7 lead. Ohio State would capitalize on a Reynold's interception on the ensuing possession, on a 2 yard plunge by Dunn to take a 24-7 lead into the half.
Navy would get the ball first after halftime, and march down field on an 11 play, 86 yard drive that ended in a 5 yard touchdown run by halfback Colon. Ohio State would answer with a long drive of their own, taking nearly 5minutes off the clock and ending with a 4 yard run by Barret to go up 31-14. Navy would score again just before the end of the quarter on a 54yard pass from Reynolds to Sanders to close the gap to 10 points, 31-21.
Brionte Dunn would put the Buckeyes safely ahead with a 1 yard dive midway through the fourth quarter to again push the lead to 17. Navy would get in the endzone again with just over two minutes to play on a 7 yard pass, but Ohio State would recover the ensuing onside kick and run out the clock.
