I figured it was the "Road to Pasadena" because of the BCS title location. I like the idea of it changing for that every year.

Got a follower in me. I'm not able to do the photos as well, and seeing and reading the constant improvements without those shows I can do my own as well. Been playing with settings at this time, and will be getting ready to launch my own. Thank you for showing me what an awesome dynasty without photos can be. You've set the bar high.

        SAN ANTONIO EXPRESS-NEWS
        INTERVIEW WITH JAKE CARLISLE

        By Thomas Fisher

Today, we have with us UTSA Roadrunners' Offensive Coordinator Jake Carlisle with us. A little background on Carlisle: he comes from Michigan, played quarterback for Michigan State, and coached their quarterbacks and offense for four years. He is only 29, and is three years younger than the youngest Head Coach in the FBS, P.J. Fleck of Western Michigan.

Fisher: So, Coach, or Jake, whichever you prefer. How's it been so far in San Antonio?

Jake: Well, I'd prefer Jake. [laughs] So far, it's been great! It's definitely bigger than Ann Arbor, or Lansing. The players have been great, the coaches have been great, everyone really has been great. I love it so far!

F: I know you just referenced it a bit there, but how's it been so far with the players and coaches?

J: Both groups have been good so far. Coach [Coker] has been fantastic in helping me, and the defense has definitely helped out the offense this year. Yeah, there've been disagreements when we lose between the two sides, but overall, it's been great. Personally, I think I've been lucky to be given the opportunity to work under two experienced coaches with Coach Coker and Coach Dantonio. They both have tons of experience and both of them have really set an example for what I should be if I ever become a head coach.

F: Finally, with your team in the running for the Conference-USA West Division title and a berth in the conference championship, what do you have to do to keep your offense, especially freshman quarterback Jaylon Henderson, focused on one game at a time?

J: While he definitely lacks the experience you want at quarterback, especially at your first job, he has made up for it with his athleticism. The offense has a whole gained a lot of confidence after our blowout of UAB. While we'd been gaining yards, we didn't really score a lot of points. After that game though, we really have picked it up, even with only one game since then. Especially with some of the offensive line recruits and guys coming off redshirt next year, and Corbin White, and Jarveon Williams, and Jaylon Henderson, we are going to be loaded next year. I honestly can't wait to see what we look like next year!

F: Well, Jake, thank you for your time, and good luck with the rest of your season.

UTSA UPSET BY TULANE; FALLS TO 6-4

UTSA fell to the Tulane Green Wave at home this week by a final score of 38-33. The loss spoiled the return of Jarveon Williams, a fan favorite who had been out since Week 1 with broken ribs.

This loss was largely due to the loss of Jaylon Henderson in the second quarter. The injury he sustained has not yet been disclosed, but it kept him out of the remainder of the game.

That's not to say the backup quarterback, Blake Bogenschutz didn't do well; on the contrary, he performed well enough to almost lead the Roadrunners back to a victory. However, the defense couldn't get Red Zone stops and the offensive line was truly exposed, allowing 3 sacks and multiple short to no gain runs.

After the game, both Offensive Coordinator Jake Carlisle and Head Coach Larry Coker have both said that Henderson will be kept out the remainder of the season in order to reduce further injuries. Henderson has already sustained multiple short-term injuries this year, and with Dalton Sturm performing very well on the practice field and in the weight room, there will be a battle between him and Bogenschutz over the bye week to determine who will get that start at North Texas.

Henderson has also been linked to rumors this year of him potentially leaving the team due to the amount of injuries he has suffered, which is about 4-5 so far. He is expected to announce something regarding that between now and North Texas.

                    Go Roadrunners!

                        25--Northwestern WIldcats630.837

First, we'll start off with some of this week's upsets that shook up the polls.

Then #3 Arizona State fell to now #17 Utah by two, at home no less. This certainly shakes things up in the PAC-12 South now, as this opens the door for Arizona to win the division if they can win out and beat ASU.

Also losing last week was now #12 Baylor to now #5 Oklahoma. This was College Gameday last week, and OU pulled the upset and moved into contention for the National Championship, despite having one loss already. In the Big 12 now, TCU still leads with the tiebreaker over OU, but if they lose once more and the Sooners win out, they could be headed to the Rose Bowl.

Arkansas lost on the road this week to Ole Miss for their second loss in a row, and midnight seems to have come for their Cinderella as they are almost certainly not going to make the SEC Championship, much less get all the way to Pasadena.

Finally, and most surprisingly, was Wake Forest beat Florida State AT Doak Campbell. This gives FSU their second loss, and second conference loss, this year. They dropped all the way to #21 after being #5 just last week.

Now, onto our analysis of the BCS Top 5. First up, the team that surprises nobody, BCS Number One, your Ohio State Buckeyes. The Buckeyes had off this week, staying put at Number One. This week, they head to Champaign to take on the Fighting Illini, then back home to face Indiana, then finally off to Ann Arbor to face the team up north. Certainly not an easy slate of games as both of their away games are against current 6-win teams. Although this is a tough schedule, they likely will only be threatened by the Wolverines.

BCS Chances: 60-85%, as they have the talent to get through this clean, but have to execute

The BCS Number Two this week also hails from the Big Ten East, being the Michigan State Spartans. The possess perhaps one of the best running backs of all time in TRUE FRESHMAN Larry Scott, who has almost rushed for 2000 YARDS! However, two of their remaining three games are away against ranked opponents in Nebraska and Northwestern. Their final opponent is Minnesota. All three of opponents have at least 6 wins, with a combined record of 20-8. If they get through the first two games unscathed, they have a good shot at winning out and facing Ohio State in a defacto playoff to see who goes to the Natty.

BCS Chances: 40-60%, as they have to get past Nebraska in Memorial Stadium. All I have to say about that.

At BCS Number Three this week are the Yellow Jackets of Georgia Tech, who, despite lacking elite talent, have gone 9-0 thus far. However, their true test comes this week, when they head into Death Valley to take on BCS Number Four, Clemson. I simply don't see them winning that, as Clemson outclasses GT in talent. After that, the play FCS SE and #17 Georgia. Of their three remaining games, they have one guaranteed win.

BCS Chances: 10-30%, as they need to win out and they don't have the talent to do so.

At BCS Number Four, we have the Clemson Tigers. They take on Number Three Georgia Tech this week at home, and they should win that. Their two games after that are FCS SE, and South Carolina. They can go undefeated in this stretch, theu just have to beat GT first.

BCS Chances: 50-75 percent, but they must win out.

Finally, at BCS Number Five, we have the Oklahoma Sooners, who jumped up from the #10 spot following their win over Baylor. They have no ranked teams remaining on the schedule, and also can easily win out. However, something that hurts their chances are the lack of a conference championship.

BCS Chances: 40-60%, because their lack of a CC hurts them greatly.

Now, my notes for Heisman Watch simply say, 'give it to Scott already.' 'Nuff said.

One surprise this year is Alabama. They are sixth in the SEC West (sixth, really?) and are 4-5 and only 2-4 in conference. They are coming off a loss to LSU, who currently leads the West.

Finally, the ranked-v-ranked clashes this week are as follows:

#3 Georgia Tech vs #5 Clemson
                        Pick:GT

#2 Michigan State vs #23 Nebraska
                        Pick:MSU

                        #17 Utah vs #4 Oregon
                        Pick: Oregon

Note: Coaches Poll rankings were used for ranked-v-ranked

That's all for now, see you in two weeks!

tough loss to the Wave. Hopefully you can rebound against NT and somewhat "own the state" of Texas, at least within the conference.

That's a blow losing to Tulane in a close one! Still, a couple more games to get another win or two to cement that bowl game!
