HOWELL AGAIN DAZZLES, LEADS LAWRENCE TO ANOTHER BLOWOUT WIN

Brian Howell has shocked the world. Not really,but you get the point. Another 400+ yards passing and 4 touchdowns through the air, as well as 2 on the ground will definitely get him some more attention from the upper echelon of college programs. In what was billed as the best matchup of the season, Lawrence destroyed Russell 42-14. Hopefully, Howell can continue this tear he's on as next week, Lawrence takes on the Merriam Comets. Go Lions!

RECRUITING NOTES

Howell was bumped up from a 3-star to a 4-star prospect by both Rivals and 247Sports. He also now holds an offer from Arizona State, and was contacted about interest in him from the LSU Tigers, a team currently in the BCS National Championship hunt.

Finally, Howell is now an ESPNU Top 150 Recruit Nationally, as he comes in this week at #128. He is also the #1 player in all of Kansas, and the only 4-star in the state currently. An updated list of Howell's interest board:

HOWELL AND CO. DEMOLISH ANOTHER OPPONENT AND SECURE PLAYOFF BERTH

Brian Howell had his best game all year, with over 500 yards, 5 TDS, and for the first time all year, no picks. Lawrence, as a team, clinched a third straight state playoffs berth, and will now look to clinch the #1 seed next week with a win against the El Dorado Minutemen on senior night. Go Lions!

RECRUITING NOTES

Howell was bumped up to a 5-star prospect by both Rivals and 247Sports. he also attained a scholarship from the LSU Tigers, and has received interest from the USC Trojans. He was also bumped up to #90 in the ESPNU Top 150.

Howell, as announced on his twitter account, will not be taking any more official visits until Lawrence either wins the state championship or is knocked out of the playoffs. He has four official visits remaining after taking one for the Kansas Jayhawks.

BRIAN HOWELL GOES OUT WITH A BANG AS LIONS FINISH REGULAR SEASON UNDEFEATED

The Lawrence Lions defeated the El Dorado Minutemen by a final score of 38-13. Brian Howell had another magnificent game, with over 400 yards and 4 passing touchdowns. The Lions enter the playoffs as a #1 seed with a perfect 7-0 record, and will face fellow undefeated Parsons in the first round. Go Lions!

If I had to take a guess, probably whatever his Top 4 schools are after the state playoffs. I think, in RTG, you still get offers throughout the state playoffs, so we'll see how it stands after that. Thanks for checking in!

You're right, scholarship offers still come in throughout the playoffs, though if you get a school interested in you after the final, you won't get a scholarship offer from this school for the Signing day, even if you qualify in terms of points.

In my write-up, I did receive my last offer after the final, and wouldn't have been able to accept it if I was going to continue with RTG mode, but since I'll be running it through Dynasty mode, I've decided to include the offer with the others.

LAWRENCE MAKES STATEMENT AS THEY TAME ROWDY COLTS; WIN 49-20

The Parsons Colts stood a chance for the first three quarters. Then Brian Howell decided to wake up a bit, and destroyed their secondary in a 21-point 4th quarter. If you ignore that, the game was the most competitive on Lawrence's schedule all year. But, we can't, and Lawrence will move on while Parsons will go home. Next week, Lawrence takes on 6-1 Garden City. Go Lions!

GARDEN CITY D HAS GREAT NIGHT, BUT IT DOESN'T MATTER

Brian Howell looked very uncharacteristically out of form, as he threw a whopping 7 INTERCEPTIONS!!! I know you have to have a short memory for turnovers, but come on! Lawrence still won 28-0, which just highlights how pathetic Garden City's offense is. Hopefully Howell will bounce back, but this game was Ugly with a capital U. Next week, Lawrence takes on Mission Hills. Go Lions!

RECRUITING NOTES

Howell was offered a scholarship from West Virginia, who has now thrown their hat into the ring for landing the coveted 5-star QB. Another new school whose scout was spotted at Howell's last game (he's probably blind now with how ugly that was) is Auburn. Alabama, surprisingly, has not indicated interest in Howell.

Howell moved up to #1 in the ESPNU Top 150. He is now the consensus #1 recruit in the entire nation, with a boatload of schools vying for his services.

They've done it! The Lawrence Lions are your Class 6A Kansas State Champions! Brian Howell fully bounced back from his horrific State Quarterfinals Performance with a turnover free showing. He had over 400 passing yards and was unmatched Wichita's defense. He will now take his four remaining official visits in preparation for National Signing Day.
