
#1 FSU VS #2 IOWA FOR THE NATIONAL TITLE!!
Florida State cemented their spot in the title game with a (56-39) win over Clemson in the SEC title game behind the play of Heisman hopefully M. Henry's 337 yds 6 TD 1 INT in the air and 95 yds and 1 TD on the ground. The Noles also got a huge game from their other Heisman hopeful, RB M. Morgan who rushed 14 times for 150 yds (10.7 avg) with 1 score.
Well FSU dominated with offense in their win, Iowa was the opposite as they pull off the 4th Quarter comeback to beat Oklahoma (14-10). Hawkeyes QB N. Stanley accounted for 1 TD in the air and another on the ground.
Alabama held onto the #3 ranking with a (17-13) win over LSU in the SEC title game, but with no playoff system in place, the Tide will have to settle for a matchup with #6 (11-1) UCLA in the Suger Bowl.
Boise State yet again miss's out on their chance to play for a National Championship as well, despite their perfect (13-0) record. The Broncos beat Utah (51-27) to win the MWC crown and instead will settle for a matchup with #14 (11-2) Stanford in the Rose Bowl. The Cardinals beat Arizona (34-24) to win the Pac-12 title.
In the Moutain West Championship, QB Luke Collins left a very lasting impression on Heisman voters, as the 5'11 SR complete 29/40 (72%) for 418 yds with 5 TD and 2 INT. He also added 45 yds rushing.
Fellow SR's RB. A. Mattison (26 carries 141 yds 1 TD) and WR M. Lee (8 rec 199 yds 2 TD) also had big days.
Texas beats Baylor (35-14) to win the American Conference and a spot in the Fiesta Bowl. The Longhorns finish the season #5 in the rankings with a (12-1) record. Their lone loss coming against the Colorado Rams back in Week 6.
The Longhorns will face off against #7 (11-1) Navy who earns a At-Large bid with Iowa playing in the Championship game.
Michigan pulls off a 4th Quarter upset over Ohio State (33-28) to earn a spot in the Orange Bowl vs Western Kentucky who win's the ACC with a (45-38) win over Virginia Tech.
With the loss Ohio State (11-2) drops to #9 and accepts a bid to play #16 (10-3) Clemson in the Capital One Bow
Syracuse finishes the year (12-1) and ranked #11 after they defeat Vanderbilt to win the CUSA Title, but with no BCS Bowl berth, the Orange are left to face Western Michigan (Mac Champions) in the Liberty Bowl. The WMU Broncos beat Toledo (28-21 in OT).
