AUBURN VS UCLA FOR NATIONAL TITLE!!

With the Conference Championship games in the books, the BCS has made it's decision with their pre-bowl rankings.

Auburn holds onto the #1 Spot after winning the newly formed Sun Belt Conference title with a (38-12) win over LSU.

UCLA holds onto the #2 ranking despite not playing in the Pac-12 title game.

Washington finishes #3 after winning the MWC title, but it was a close one as Nevada took the game to overtime, before losing (44-41). The Huskies will face #9 Stanford who beat Arizona State (42-28) to win the Pac-12 title.

Boise State moves up to #4, despite not playing in the MWC title game. With Auburn playing in the title game, the Broncos receive the at-large big to play in the Sugar Bowl, where they will face #15 (9-4) Florida. The Gators shocked the nation and Clemson in the SEC title game (31-28).

Cincinnati defeats Western Michigan (31-21) to finish the year (13-0) and earns the #5 ranking, but with no-at large bids they are forced to accept a invite to play in the Go Daddy.com Bowl vs (9-4) LSU

Norte Dame moves up to #6 in the ranking but they to are left on the outside looking in and draw a horrible bowl matchup as they are headed to the Kraft Hunger Bowl to face a (6-6) Fresno State team.

Virginia Tech like UCLA and Boise State finished the year 11-1, but a loss to WVU left them out of the ACC title game. Ranked #7 in the polls, V.T. is headed to the Russell Athletic Bowl to face (8-4) Texas A&M.

Texas win's the newly formed American Conference Title (58-10 over Houston) and receives the #8 ranking and a spot in the Fiesta Bowl against #14 Missouri who won the Big 12 title (beat Oklahoma 28-23).

With the loss to Florida, Clemson drops from #5 to #10 and is headed to the Capital One Bowl where they will face #13 Ohio State. Like the Tigers, the Buckeyes failed in their Big 10 title matchup with Minnesota. (31-21)

Speaking of Minnesota. The Gophers move into the rankings at #18, but it doesn't matter much as they are super stoked to be headed to the Orange Bowl to face (9-4) NC State who pulled off the upset win in the ACC title game over West Virignia (35-23)

With the loss in the ACC title game, WVU falls to #21 and accepts a invite to the Chick-fil-A Bowl vs #19 (9-3) Miami.

      AUBURN WINS NATIONAL TITLE

The Auburn Tigers are your 2018 National Champs defeating #2 UCLA (41-32). With the win Auburn finishes the year with a perfect 14-0 record, the only team to do so, leaving no doubt they were the best team in the nation.

BOISE STATE WIN'S 1ST EVER SUGAR BOWL!!!

Tied (7-7) after the 1st Quarter, the Broncos "D" did the unthinkable as they shutdown the Gators offense with 3 Interceptions and just a 35% 3rd down conversion rate helping lead the Boise State to a (35-7) victory.

SO QB Luke Collins finished the game 23/42 for 354 yds and 5 TD to go with his 1 INT. Collins also lead the team on the ground with 54 yds rushing.

SR WR A. Butler finished with a team high 11 rec for 165 yds and 4 scores, well SO WR M. Lee had 5 rec for 128 yds and 1 score.

With the win, the Broncos finish the season (12-1), ranked #3 in the Final BCS rankings.

      HUSKIES WIN ROSE BOWL!!

Well Auburn can argue they are the nations best, one has to wonder what the outcome would be if the Huskies and Tigers played.

UW dominated their former Pac-12 rival Stanford in the Rose Bowl to finish (13-1) on the year and grab the #2 ranking as RB Myles Gaskin goes off for 162 yds on 22 carries with 2 scores.

Gaskin will go down as one of college football's best RB's to ever have played. He leave's Washington with 4809 yds on 773 carries with 54 scores inlcuding a 2018 season of 257 carries, 1804 yds and 25 TD's rushing. He also added 680 yds on 43 receptions for another 7 scores, and another 488 yds on 20 kickoff returns. All together his 2018 season was saw him finish with 2972 all-purpose yards and 32 TD's.

For the 2018 season, Gaskin was named the Maxwell,Walter Camp,Doak Walker and Heisman winner.

      NC State win's Orange Bowl!!

The Wolfpack finish the year (10-4) with their win over Minnestoa taking home the Orange Bowl trophy in a (48-21) victory.

      Texas crowned Fiesta Bowl Champ!!

The Longhorns take down the Fiesta Bowl win with a (31-17) victory over Missouri to finish the year (12-2) and #7 in the final rankings.

      Undefeated no more!!

Rumor was Cincinnati fan's were pooling their money to buy billboards all over Auburn Alabama challenging the Tigers to a undefeated bowl game, but LSU took care of business instead with a (38-31) victory despite some late heroics from the Bearcats QB H. Moore (2-4th Quarter TD's including 1 with 33 seconds to play).

      Overtime Thriller!!!

The Capital One Bowl in Orlando is not considered an Elite 4 bowl, but this year it featured 2 teams that were pretty dang good. Ranked the #2 and #3 teams going into Week 13, loss's in by both teams in Conference title games made this a marquee matchup between Clemson and Ohio State and it didn't disapoint.

It took 3 scores and a defense stop in Ovetime to decide the winner as Clemson comes away with the (34-27) win.

The Tigers tied the game in regulation with a minute to play (24-24). Ohio State opened the OT period with a FG, Clemson matched it, the Clemson scored a TD but then held the Buckeyes from scoring.

      REST OF THE BOWL RESULTS

Chick-fil-A Bowl (9-3) Miami vs (10-3) West Virginia Final (27-21)
Russell Athletic Bowl #7 (11-1) Virginia Tech vs (8-4) Texas A&M Final (21-28)
Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl #5 Notre Dame (10-3) vs (6-6) Fresno State Final (28-24)
New Mexico Bowl (6-6) Syracuse vs (6-6) Arkansas State Final (24-21)

Beef O Brady Bowl (8-4) Temple vs (6-6) Baylor Final (24-31)

Military Bowl (7-5) Buffalo vs (6-6) Colorado Final (21-35)

Belk Bowl (7-4) Louisville vs (9-4) Houston Final (33-21)

WILL #11 LEAVE BOISE FOR HEAD COACHING OFFER!!!

The impact that #11 has made at Boise State in his first 2 seasons as Offensive Coordinator have not gone unnoticed by the rest of the nation. Despite losing his 4 best offensive weapson's to graduation and the NFL (Rypien/McNichols/Wilson/Roh). Moore helped guide the Broncos to a 12-1 season that ended with a Sugar Bowl win.

The Broncos Offense finished 13th in the nation in yards (7454) and #2 in the nation in passing (4207) well averaging a the nation's 4th best PPG (36.5).

Their 45 TD's through the air tied Auburn for the most in college football.

However a huge reason for those stats and the Broncos sucess is current starting QB Luke Collins. The 5'11 former Athlete from Shelly Idaho showed glimpses of greatness last season when he threw for 1555 yds with 8 TD's and 8 INT in relief of B. Rypien.

This season however Collins had a breakout year with a 155.4 QB Rating completing 242/413 pass's for 3482 yds with 41 TD and 14 INT. He also added 634 yds and 8 more TD's on the ground making him one of the best dual threat QB's in the game.

Another big reason for the Broncos success is their WR core. First Matt Miller graduated. Thomas Sperbeck filled the gap. Then it was Wilson setting school records last season.

This year it was 5'10 SR Akillian Butler. Butler finished the year with 91 rec for 1375 yds and 19 TD's, but the good new's is Soph's M. Lee (60 rec 777 yds 7 TD) and J. Carter (47 rec 796 yds 6 TD) are ready to step up and continue dominance.

The Broncos also return a solid runing game to go with Collins feet. RS SO Alexander Mattison battled injuries late in the year, but still managed 672 yds and 152 carries with 6 scores on the ground, and he added another 198 yds on 19 rec.

JC transfer JR Ryan Parrish also will return after finishing with 212 yds on 50 carries (4.2 avg) and his 4 TD's late in the year.

Now the only question is will offers to take over and build his own program be enough to pull him away or will a chance to come back and battle for a potential National Title with Collins running the show be enough to keep him here??

Re: One Moore Time, A Coaching Career on NCAA14

So I have 2 files saved. 1 file with the coaching carousel still up and 1 with Moore staying with 2019 ready to go.

I was surprised that I didn't receive some bigger better school offers as Oregon State and Vanderbilt both have me listed in their Final 6 choices, but both passed the last time I simmed through. Right now my best offers have been narrowed down to

Florida International coming off a 0-12 season just 1 year removed from a Top-25 finish and 10-3 record. They have 2 solid QB's that will be SR's and a really talented JR RB. Which means Kellen could bring in a FR QB in 2020 to be a 4 year starter for him. FIU also now plays in the newly formed SEC.

Georgia State coming off a 2-10 record including just 1-7 in the new SEC Conference, but they too have a decent dual threat QB that will be a SR (again be able to recruit a 4 yr starter) and a FR RB that ran for almost 900 yds that could help balance the offense

San Jose State finished 3-9 Overall but 0-8 in the Pac-12.. Their roster is loaded with Juniors so I would be able to load up the roster with my own recruits really quickly granted I will need to win some games with the guy's returning.

Obviously I am torn, cause returning to play with Collins will be fun, but at the same time I am ready to play full games and not just offense. However with Browning and Gaskin gone, I feel like next year I would have a legit shot at winning a possible MWC title and play in the Rose Bowl or maybe even for a National title.

(By the way I did find it interesting that UW's OC get's offered a HC job and going to Washington to be Coach Pete's OC is also a option)

I will be gone this weekend at a Disc Golf tournament, so I won't make this decision until Sunday afternoon/evening, so if anyone has comments or thoughts feel free to share.

How many years does he have on his original contract? I usually stay at the first school until the contract is up before making a decision. Feels a little more realistic

If Moore is such a surefire OC, he would probably take advantage of an offer. I would assume it would be at school that needs some help. I like the FIU offer most, in a big part because I don't think I've seen anyone play with them like...ever lol. Plus at 0-12, think about the storyline if he turns that around? could be the next Scott Frost type guy.

I play 13 and started as Houston HC, had two great first years(10+ wins) Never got a big time offer went to Memphis to try and turn around a bad program MISTAKE. After 4 games simmed out, lucked up took OC at Penn state. After two years, I took OC at auburn have two games left with back to back good seasons. Finished #9 first year, currently 10-2 heading to Sec championship. Hopefully will get a good offer this year Clemson HC and Ohio State are in top 5 for least amount of coach security. I would stay at Boise a bad program can hurt you for years.

1 year left, as they start you with a 3 year deal. I have been offered a 4 year extension after both seasons so far but declined.

MOORE SET TO RETURN FOR ANOTHER SEASON!!

24/7 Sports has learned that Offensive Coordinator Kellen Mooore will indeed return to the the Boise State sidelines for the upcoming 2019 season. After back to back seasons with a Offense ranked in the Top-5 in Total Yards and Passing yards, the OC was one of the hottest names in the college football coaching carousel. Rumors are Coach Moore turned down Head Coaching jobs at Troy,Kent State, Southern Miss, Florida International, Georgia State and San Jose State as well as Offensive Coordinator positions at Alabama, LSU, Penn State, Oregon State and Washington.

                          Coach Moore
"Honestly it's my dream to one day be a Head Coach, and not taking anything away from the schools that made offers, but I feel for me and my career my best fit was to stay here in Boise for at least 1 more season and learn under Coach Harsin. I still have alot to learn (Currently has 15 Coaching Tree points), and with the new Conference realignments, there are honestly alot of really good jobs that will still be available in the future"
Well Boise State fan's have alot to cheer about with Coach Moore's decision to return, nobody is happier then Broncos QB Luke Collins. Collins is coming off a Soph campaign that saw him combine for over 4000 yds of Offense with 49 TD's. Now with Coach Moore returning, several top sports writers have already put him into the preseason Heisman talk.

Hearing the announcement was also a huge boost for the Broncos as they finished up the 2018 Recruiting season, as Boise State ends the year with the #10 Overall Recruiting class in the nation, with 25 incoming players accepting scholarships. Boise State will go into the 2019 season, with a max 70 players on their roster including just 8 returning seniors, 24 Juniors, and 13 Soph's.

                            2019 BOISE STATE DEPTH CHART

Excitement is high going into the 2019 season, as the Broncos are coming off a 12-1 finish including a win over Florida in the Sugar Bowl. With QB Luke Collins leading the way on Offense and star CB Avery Williams leading the Defense, the Broncos are looking to break their 3 year losing streak to Coach Pete and the Washington Huskies. A win over UW will most likely mean a Mountain West Championship and a spot in this year's Rose Bowl or maybe even a National Title.

Boise State finished the season last year ranked #3 in the nation and will start out this season ranked in the Top-25 at #20..

Here is a look at the Broncos Roster and Depth chart for the 2019 season. Overalls ()

                            QUARTERBACK

The Broncos will go into the year with 4 Quarterbacks on the roster, but will only have 2 active as SO James Robbins (83) and incoming FR Dan Hicks (78) will both Redshirt.

That will leave JR Luke Collins (93) will be the starter as he looks to improve on his outstanding 2018 stats in quest for a Heisman.

RS SO Bobby Parham (80) will be the #2. Parham started the year as the #3 last year, but finished as the #2 after the Broncos lost Robbins for the season in Week 1. He finished with a 125.7 QB rating completing 41/72 pass's (57%) for 504 yds, with 4 TD and 3 INT.

                            Coach Moore
"We feel really good about Bobby and the progress we saw in him after Robbins injury, and being how James still had his redshirt available, we felt it was not in our best interest to rush him back. If Luke has the type of year we expect him to have, we feel pretty confident he will follow in B. Rypien's shoes and turn pro after this season. Which will give Robbins a chance at being a 3 year starter if he can return and beat out Parham for the job as well as hold off Dan Hicks"
Hick's is a huge 6'6 226lb Athlete that was a late signer to the Broncos recruiting class last season out of Michigan. He has 75 speed to go with a cannon of an arm 90 TPH/80 THA

                            RUNNING BACK

The Broncos return their top 3 rushers from last season including Luke Collins who finished 2nd on the team with 634 yds and 8 TD's on the ground.

                            RS JR Alexander Mattison (88)
is the starter. Mattison rushed the ball 152 times last season for 672 yds with 6 TD's before missing parts of the last 3 games of the season with a injury. If fully healthy Mattison has the skills and abilities to be a 1000 yd rusher.

JC Transfer SR Ryan Parrish (83) will return as the #2 back. Last season he saw limited carries (50) but managed a (4.2 avg) for 212 yds and 4 TD's.

The Broncos went the JC route once again looking to add depth as they added 3* Athlete JR Ryan Cox (78) as a late signer. Cox will start the year as the #3 RB and will also serve as the #3 Emergency QB. Cox is listed at just 5'10 and 189 lbs, but he has 92 speed and a live arm (80 THP/78 THA).

RS FR Charlese Moore (69) will serve as the #4, after redshirting last season.

SO Andre Allen (74) and FR Jason Jones (68) will redshirt this season.

                            FULLBACK

FR Zach Christian (66) takes over the starting FB job with the graduation last year's starter. At 5'11 257 lbs Christian is a solid combination of power and speed.

RS FR Kory Monroe (66) will provide depth coming off a redshirt season last year.

                            WIDE RECEIVER

RS JR Julian Carter (91) takes over the #1 spot vacated by Butler after a 2018 season that saw him end with 47 rec for 796 yds and 6 TD.

JR Marcus Lee (90) returns for his 3rd year as the #2 WR. Lee had 56 rec for 742 yds and 10 TD as a true freshman, then followed it up with 60 rec for 777 yds and 7 TD last year. At 6'4 Lee's size makes him a huge threat on the outside as well as a big target coming over the middle.

RS JR Trevion Amstrong (88) takes over the #3 position held by Carter last year and has all the skills to put up similar #'s as he did from that spot. At 6'3 Armstrong is a huge target and his 96 catch rating is the best on the team.

RS JR Bubba Ogebebor (80) Bubba O as he teammates call him has yet to make a catch for the Broncos despite being active the past 2 seasons. Now he enters the season as the #4, so look for him to put up some decent #'s this year.

RS SO Justin Dennis (76). Like Lee and Armstrong, Dennis is a big target at (6'4). Like Bubba O, he didn't see any action coming off a redshirt season, but he should see a few snaps this year as the #5.

6'4 L. Faulk (72), 6'1 M. Howard (70) and 6'4 A. Taylor (67) will all sit out this season as they redshirt and train with the team. Expect all 3 to be big jumps on the depth chart in 2021 as the Top-4 WR's are all JR's.

                            TIGHTEND

RS JR Nick Crabtree (78) takes over the starting job after being the #2 last year. With only 4 career receptions for 34 yds, he has some big shoes to fill taking over from the past great TE's like J. Roh and C. Blakley, but at 6'7 and 274 lbs, my guess is he has big feet.

RS FR C. Curry (72) takes over the #2 role after redshirting last season.

RS SO Tommy Fields (70) was listed as a fullback last season and finished with 2 rushes for 3 yds and 2 rec for 31 yds. However with the signing of Christian to be the starter, the Broncos coaching staff moved Fields to TE in hopes of using his 6'5 241 lb body with 78 speed as a mismatch for opposing defenses.

3* FR Travis Jackson (69) will redshirt this season

                            OFFENSIVE LINE

The Broncos return all 5 starters on the 0-line from last season that gave up 21 sacks (11 by LG D Harrington)

Former JC transfer SR Tyson Macklin (82) returns as the starter at LT. At 6'6 340lbs he is a mountain, which is fitting being how he is from Mount Vernon WA.

RS JR D. Harrington (82) returns at LG, RS SR G. Larson (91) Center, JR B. Webster (79) at RG and RS SR J. Molchon (87) at RT.

JR R. McDaniel (71), RS SO K. Collins (79) RS JR K. Bailey (80) return as the primary backups from last season and will be joined by RS FR R. Olson (71), RS FR M. Robinson (75) RS FR I. Williams (72) all join the active roster after redshirting last season.

FR D. Watson (68), FR K. Pearson (74) and SO R. Doyle (73) will all redshirt this season.

                            Coach Moore
"Obviously our O-Line has huge depth this year and is a big reason for our success both passing and running the ball. Harrington will have a short leash with Collins and Bailey both having experience as starters due to injuries last year, if he continues to struggle with pass protection."

                            DEFENSIVE END

RS SR Durrant Miles (90) returns as a key leader on the line after leading the team with 5.5 sacks last season, fellow RS SR Sam Whitney (85) takes over the other starting spot. RS JR Jabari Watson (79) and RS JR Kayode Rufai (85) provide great depth and are future starters.

FR Eric Moore (74) will redshirt season and will most likely be a starter in 2021.

                            DEFENSIVE TACKLE

RS JR Sonatone Lui (91) is the other leader on this line, despite his meager #'s. At 6'1 302 lbs he is a run stopper. RS SO Calvin Sutherland (89) is a former 4* who was the headliner of the 2016 Recruiting class. RS JR Curtis Weaver (84) provides huge depth (308 lbs). FR Z. Carter (70) will redshirt this season.

                            LINEBACKERS
Gone are 2 starters and leading tacklers, but that doesn't mean this unit doesn't return some major talent. RS JR Desmond Williams (77) returns to his starting role on the right side after finishing last year with 71 tackles (43 solo/28 assisted and 7 TFL) RS JR Tyson Maeva (81) takes over the MLB after being a key reserve the last 2 seasons. RS SO Dave Dockery (77) takes over at the other OLB spot and with 81 speed is a pass rushing force.

RS FR A. Ingram (71) and RS SO J. Jordan (69) provide depth, well FR B. Jones (66), FR T. Washington (65), and FR J. Dotson (66) will all sit out and redshirt.

                            DEFENSIVE BACKS

CB Avery Williams (90) returns for his 3rd year as a starter. Williams had 3 INT last season after recording 3 as a true freshman as well. Now the #1 CB, the Broncos will need him to step up and provide even bigger #'s this year.

Williams also serves as the teams primary return man with a career avg of 21.5 yards per return on kickoffs, and 7.5 on punts.

RS SR L. Blair (85) will take over the #2 CB spot, with RS JR's D. Pierce (84) & J. Kaplan (84) providing exceptional depth. RS SO W. Turner (76) is coming off a redshirt season and will be on the active roster as well.

RS SR Evan Tyler (89) returns as the starter at FS after leading the team with 5 INT's last season, well RS JR J. Happle (84) takes over at SS after the graduation of Summer-Gardner.

RS SO J. Robertson (79), RS SO B. McClelland (71), RS FR D. Campbell (73) and RS FR L. Givens (72) all provide additional depth..

FR R. Patrick (69) is the lone DB redshirting this season.

                            KICKING GAME

JR D. Stephens (81) returns as the place kicker after converting 11/13 FG's last season including a long of 47 yds. Stephens also had 21 touchbacks last season after just 11 as a true freshman. For his career he has hit 78% (25/32) FG's but is perfect on PAT's.

JR M. Mills (71) returns for his 3rd season as the Punter. Despite attempting 9 less kicks last season, Mills improved his Avg Yd's from 38.3 to 41.9 and his net from 33.5 to 34.5 as he recorded a long of 88 yds. He also improved his punts inside the 20 yd line from 14 to 17.

FR Joey Keller (80) a 3* recruit from Georgia who was a late signer will redshirt this season and will most likely be a 3 year starter starting in 2021.

                              BRONCOS ANNOUNCE 2019 SCHEDULE

When the NCAA committee and BCS made major realignment moves after the 2017 season, removing half of the former MWC teams and moving them to the Pac-12 and Big 10, Boise State AD (Deuce2223) made a commitment to continue former rivalries using non-conference matchup's.

Last season we saw BSU take on San Diego State and Air Force, and his year it appears the Broncos will face Fresno State and TCU.

The Broncos will open the 2019 season at home vs the Bulldogs in a Battle for the Milkcan. .

In Week 2, BSU will open up MWC play vs Washington State before a bye week in Week 3. The Broncos will then continue their 3 game homestand vs the Oregon State Beavers in Week 4 before traveling to Fort Worth to take on the Horn Frogs in Week 5.

After a Week 6 Bye, the Broncos contiue their 3 game road trip with stops at rival BYU and Utah State before returning home to face Wyoming After another bye week in Week 10, the Broncos will host UNLV before 2 Top-10 road matchups.

First it's the rematch against budding rival #2 Washington and Coach Pete before a huge non-conference matchup against Defending National Champs#6 Auburn.

The Broncos then return home to face the Oregon Ducks in Week 13, before closing out conference play on the road @ Idaho

                              Coach Moore
"Landing Auburn for the schedule was huge. This obviously is a matchup fans have been wanting to see for years, and it's our hope that with a pair of W's late over these Top-10 preseason ranked teams will propel us to a National Title spot"
(THE CPU scheduled this game, and so I just kept it. Figured why not. It's either going to make or break us. If they we meet them both with undefeated records)

                                2019 PRESEASON TOP-25

Despite not winning their conference last season and playing in a major 4 Bowl game, the Clemson Tigers start out the year #1, but with a road game @ Georgia to start the year plus a non-conference home game vs Notre Dame the question is now long will they stay there.

Despite losing QB Jake Browning and Heisman RB Myles Gaskin to the NFL, Coach Peterson and the Washington Huskies start the year right were they finished at #2. With a pretty week non-conference matchup's including a game vs FCS Eastern Washington in Week 2, the Huskies first real test of the season could be their Week 11 matchup vs the Broncos, unless BYU can pull off a upset on the road in Week 9.

Notre Dame is still without a conference, but that doesn't stop the #3 team in the nation from finding and creating a very tough schedule. The Irish will kick off their season @ #8 Texas plus play #10 Miami and#7 Stanford at home as well as road games @ #1 Clemson and #11 USC to end the year. With 5 games vs Top-11 preseason teams, it's safe to say if the Irish come away undefeated they are most likely the best team in the nation.

Like Clemson, Florida State didn't win their conference last season, but that hasn't stopped the polls from making the the #4 team in the nation to start the year.

UCLA lost the national title game, but with a preseason rank of #5, it appears that many think they have a shot at returning to try again. With 4 other Pac-12 teams in the Top-25, they need to start by just winning the conference, something they didn't do last year.

The Defending Champs (Auburn Tigers)will start the year at #6 and take the first 2 weeks off not starting their season until Week 3 @ #13 Miss State. If they get past the Bulldogs however it appears their next biggest challenge won't be until the Broncos visit.
