That was a tough loss for sure. I was just wondering the same thing: does Geezy want to see Alabama or Tulane takes this immense matchup?

Tough loss. I also can't help but laugh at ranked Rutgers getting a win over a ranked opponent! What a crazy world in the year 2028. Geezy has to find a way to keep his team's head in the game after this loss since their SEC title hopes are gone.Comment

On the other hand, if Alabama wins, then that helps catapult us to the #3 SEC team in the BCS rankings, moving us one step closer to a potential BCS bid. We'd need #3 Florida to lose a game or two (one of them being the SEC title game obviously), as only two teams can gain a BCS berth from the conference.
I'd say scenario #2 is more realistic, nevertheless, with all that said, I probably prefer Tulane win, just because. It'll make for a better dynasty storyline, I guess.
As for Geezy's crew, I think we'll be fine. If we go on to win out, and our only two losses came against current #2 Alabama and current #3 Florida, then I'd call this season a success.Last edited by Deegeezy; 11-09-2019, 08:47 PM.Click here to read my dynasty report:

LSU | RB Rodgers still in Heisman hunt
Mon, 30 Oct 2028 12:13:14 -0700
Taylor Bisciotti of ESPN's SEC Network reports that despite his team's loss, LSU RB Scottie Rodgers (80 ovr) remains firmly entrenched in the Heisman chase following his 129 scrimmage yard, 3 touchdown effort during the Tigers' 38-28 defeat at the hands of #4 Alabama on Saturday in Baton Rouge. Rodgers, a 5-11 213 pound sophomore, now has 117 carries for 685 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns on the ground this season, to go along with his 58 receptions for 667 yards and 8 touchdowns; all of those numbers are team-highs, and his 19 total touchdowns are the most in the nation through 10 weeks.
Rounding out the rest of the current Heisman Watch List are West Virginia senior WR Eddie Hill (81 ovr), who is second in the nation with 17 total touchdowns, along with UCLA senior QB Maurice High (82 ovr), Texas senior QB Sidney Keller (90 ovr), and Virginia Tech senior WR Ernie Patrick (82 ovr).

LSU | Speedy 3-star RB Greco commits
Thu, 2 Nov 2028 04:12:11 -0700
Carley McCord of WDSU-TV New Orleans reports that the LSU Tigers received a commitment this week from 3-star Iowa RB Eric Greco (6-0, 198 pounds, 4.38 40-time, #89 rated RB prospect). Greco, from Indianola, Iowa, is one of the fastest running backs in the country, and could compete for immediate playing time either as a return specialist and/or on offense, with the team set to lose third down receiving RB Greg Hearn to graduation after this season. Greco had visited LSU's campus during the weekend of the Tigers' 20-13 victory over arch-rival Tulane back in week five.
Greco's commitment brings the LSU's number of commitments up to 16, leaving them with 5 available scholarships with college football's Early Signing Period set to come to a conclusion in about four weeks.
2029 LSU Recruiting Class through week 10 - currently 10th rated overall

Speed kills so hopefully Greco can make his presence felt early and often in Baton Rouge.

Yea I've decided I'm going to nerf myself with my roster cuts in the off-season.
Anyway, sorry about the loss. It's not as bad as I thought you made it seem. But you've got a lot to play for still. I hope you win out.Comment

I usually only see a hurdle by a CPU player once every 4 or 5 games; it is truly a rarity but it sure makes for a great screen grab when it happens!
LOL...I'm still around guys. Life just got extremely hectic for the past month or so at work. I'll be back at it again in the very-near future to close out this season and begin our next off-season quest to return the Tigers back to glory.
It is kind of odd typing that out now since LSU is pretty much unstoppable in real life all of a sudden!Click here to read my dynasty report:

No doubt...I envision Greco as a game-breaker in the return game, hopefully. We'll see how his ratings come out in the off-season to see if he can fill that role as well as the Greg Hearn "third down back" role. He'll step right in and pretty much be our fastest running back, and we will have to figure out ways to get him the ball in space and put that 92 speed to use.

True...I was probably too harsh with the write-up. The fact is, we are competing with one of the top programs in the nation and pretty much taking them down to the wire the past couple of years, so that's encouraging, as is the fact that our only two losses have come to current #2 Alabama and current #3 Florida in games we had a chance to win (or tie) late.

Hi guys, this will be back running again soon. Very sorry for the long delay.
I do need to pass along some horrible news though regarding one of this dynasty’s characters/reporters. Carley McCord, a local New Orleans TV news anchor and the daughter-in-law of current real-life LSU offensive coordinator Steve Ensminger, died in a plane crash on Saturday morning. She and 7 other people boarded a private jet to head to Atlanta for the Tigers' CFB Playoff game, and the jet crashed shortly after takeoff.
On the personal side, and believe me when I say that this isn't a brag because I didn't pay for this myself and this is definitely not some everyday thing I do - But I literally just so happened to be boarding a private jet with seven other people to head to Atlanta for the game yesterday morning as this information came through, so we were all shaken in more ways than one. It was not known that Carley was a victim until around the time we were set to land, so we were all in stunned silence for quite some time.
Anyway, prayers for the McCord and Ensminger families; may Carley, and all of the other victims in this tragedy, rest in peace.
Needless to say, I feel compelled to clean this thread up a good bit when time permits.Click here to read my dynasty report:
