Riding a 4 game skid, the Jaguars will look to get out of their slide and QB Blake Bortles will try to settle down in his role as a Rookie QB. The Jags we're blown out at home last week by the Browns. The Dolphins are coming off 2 losses to NFC North teams, Packers/Bears. Miami will look to get back in the Win column as Jacksonville is still rebulding with a rookie Blake Bortles.

JAGUARS hold off DOLPHINS rally, win 26-17.....

        RECAP

Jacksonville, FL- Quarterback Ryan Tannehill spent majority of the game on the sidelines with his elbow in a sling.

The Dolphins QB went 3/6 for 34 yards before dislocating his elbow.

Dolphins Medical is now reporting that their 2012 QB pick will miss the next month.

"I hurt it pretty bad." Tannehill stated.

This marks the second time this year that Ryan Tannehill will be missing time with an injury. It gives him more time with the wife to enjoy the beaches of South Beach.

"He's our leader and it sucks to see him hurt." Dolphins Head Coach Joe Philbin stated.

The Dolphins(2-5) fell behind early and went with Matt Moore at QB.

The Jaguars(2-6) began to put up points with Blake Bortles starting to come into his own.

The Rookie QB threw 282 yards with no TDs and picks.

But Jacksonville held a 13-7 lead at the half.

The Dolphins(2-5) rallied behind Moore but Moore's inconsistency and overthrown passes didn't do them any favors.

Moore threw 2 Touchdowns and 143 yards but his one INT a pick 6 to Jags CB Dwayne Gratz sealed the win for the Jaguars in the final moments.

"We had some chances but we couldn't capitalize on them." Philbin stated.

The loss sends Miami(2-5) in a 3 game slide while Jacksonville(2-6) snaps their 4 game skid.

"It's been a rough one for us this year for sure. We have some pieces in place and are working things out." Jaguars Head Coach Gus Bradley stated.

          Game Notes
The Ravens have been up and down this year since losing QB Joe Flacco on Opening Sunday. Baltimore has Tyrod Taylor at Quarterback and find themselves at 3-4. The good news is, Flacco returns next week but the Ravens could be in a 3-5 hole heading into the second half of the year. The Bengals jumped out to a 4-2 record and are tied with the Browns for first place. This is the second time these two teams will meet where the Ravens we're crushed 38-26 on Opening Sunday. The Bengals will look to sweep their North rivals. The Bengals will also be having WR Santonio Holmes who they signed to a one year deal last week. This should boost the Bengals Offense.

          QB Matchups

          Andy Dalton(CIN)- 15 TD's, 8 INTs, 1,782 yards.

          Tyrod Taylor(BAL)- 10 TD's, 7 INTs, 1,934 yards.

BENGALS fall at home to RAVENS 27-20....

            RECAP

Cincinnati, OH- On Opening Sunday, the Baltimore Ravens(4-4) lost to the Cincinnati Bengals(4-3) 38-26.

In the process, they lost QB Joe Flacco and RB Ray Rice.

Rice returned a few weeks ago but Flacco is out until next week. Baltimore rallied around QB Tyrod Taylor and Taylor kept the Ravens afloat.

The Ravens are 4-4 entering the second half of the year.

"When we lost Joe we knew we would be facing adversity. I think we fared pretty well." Ravens Head Coach John Harbaugh stated.

The Ravens got redemption over the Bengals by racing out to a 17-0 lead.

Bengals QB Andy Dalton struggled against the Ravens Defense. Majority of his passes we're overthrown, in the ground, or tipped.

Dalton finished the day with 295 yards, 1 TD, 1 pick.

Cincinnati struggled to move the ball in the first half.

"We never got out of the starting gate. We need to be much better at getting off to a fast start." Bengals Head Coach Marvin Lewis stated.

The Bengals(4-3) we're sluggish from the start. Held to constant 3 and outs.

Dalton and new WR Santonio Holmes didn't get on the same page until the second half.

Holmes finished the day with 108 yards, 9 Catches and a TD.

"Happy to be here, trying to help win some games. It was a slow start but in time we'll be in rhythm." Holmes stated.

Ravens QB Tyrod Taylor had 289 yards with a TD and a pick.

Ray Rice had 86 yards and 2 Touchdowns. Bernard had 85 yards.

TITANS overcome 3 Turnovers, Win 3 in a Row with 38-10 thrashing over TEXANS...

                RECAP

Nashville, TN- The Tennessee Titans(4-4) have now won 3 in a row and sit in first place in the AFC South with their 28 point blowout over Rivals Texans(3-5).

But it was a war to get here.

"We made some mistakes in the first half with those turnovers but we did a good job on not letting them bring us down." Titans Head Coach Ken Whisenhunt stated.

The Titans had 3 Turnovers in the first half with a bad Interception thrown by QB Jake Locker and 2 fumbles by the Receivers.

"We got those takeaways and couldn't do much with them. That's on us. We need to be better on those." Texans Head Coach Bill O'Brien stated.

The Texans got 10 points off 3 Titans turnovers. QB Case Keenum didn't do much against a Titans Defense that showed up to play.

"We did a great job today. We spent time in the film room and studied our butts off." Titans Defensive Coordinator Ray Horton stated.

Case Keenum had 188 yards, 1 TD and a pick and was sacked 8 times by the Titans Pass rush. 5 By DE Derrick Morgan.

"Our Defense was great. Great performance. Helped us control the game." Whisenhunt stated.

Tennessee(4-4) Defense was so dominating that they held RB Arian Foster to just 22 yards off 11 carries.

Titans RB Shonn Greene ran all over the Texans Defense racking up 142 yards and 2 Touchdowns.

Jake Locker was 265 yards with 2 TD's and a pick. Both Touchdowns we're to Rookie WR Andre Riley.

"We really took control in the second half. Great win for us." Titans Offensive Coordinator Jason Michael stated.

The Titans outscored their rivals 21-0 in the second half.

"We got ran over in the second half. We need to be much better on our side of the ball." Texans Defensive Coordinator Romeo Crennel stated.

The Titans held the Texans to just 211 yards total while Tennessee picked up 444.

"Unacceptable." O'Brien stated. "We are much better than this."

The Texans Head Coach AND Offensive Coordinator has been pulling double duty all year.

Perhaps in Year 2 or now, A O.C is needed?

Kansas City, MO- The St. Louis Rams(3-4) looked like they would knock off the Kansas City Chiefs(6-1). The Rams raced out to a 13-0 lead thanks to a defensive battle on both sides.

But after the 13-0 lead, Kansas City found their rhythm. The Chiefs put up 16 unanswered points.

"We took our foot of the gas." Rams Head Coach Jeff Fisher stated.

QB Sam Bradford struggled bad against the Chiefs Defense only completing 32% of his passes for 1 TD and a pick for 227 yards.

"Made some adjustments there for us and we kind of took off." Chiefs Head Coach Andy Reid stated.

In the 4th Quarter tied at 13-13 Sam Bradford failed to lead multiple scoring drives against the Chiefs.

"I need to play better. Today was not acceptable." Bradford stated.

This marks the first of 3 games that the Rams are playing on the Road.

                            RECAP

Phoenix, AZ- The Arizona Cardinals(6-1) have been a sleeper to kick off the Season. Now at the halfway point they sit atop of the NFC West, are 6-1, and have the #1 Defense in the NFL.

Head Coach Bruce Arians has done a masterful job in year 2. Defensive Coordinator Todd Bowles has Arizona as a "Ball Hawking Defense" secondary and a ferocious Front Seven.

"We had a good foundation in place and we've been building on it. We're playing really great football right now. Excited to see what the second half brings us." Head Coach Bruce Arians stated.

Today the Philadelphia Eagles(3-4) found out the hard way just how good the Cardinals(6-1) really are.

"They're a well coached team. Great team even." Eagles Head Coach Chip Kelly stated.

Philly was in trouble from the opening kickoff.

Quarterback Mark Sanchez was pressured on every snap as the Cardinals #1 Defense just broke through the lines at ease.

Sanchez and the Eagles(3-4) struggled in the first half as Sanchez had 4 turnovers, 3 Fumbles and a Pick.

All 3 Turnovers led to Arizona(6-1) racing out to a 27-0 halftime lead.

Sanchez was benched in the second half by Chip Kelly after 4 turnovers and just 15 yards passing.

                            His rating was 2.7.

"Down that much early was a mess for us. We couldn't climb out." Eagles Head Coach Chip Kelly stated.

In the second half with Nick Foles and Matt Barkley out with injuries, Philly turned to Rookie Carson Wentz for some playing time.

Although Wentz struggled as well, he did better than Sanchez.

Wentz threw 96 yards with 2 Picks but got Philly in Field Goal range to put up 3 points.

"Carson gave us a little hope but we we're way behind. Need to be more aggressive next time." Kelly stated.

Carson Palmer had 175 yards with no TD's and picks. Palmer hasn't really thrown many TD's but he's been "Managing" the game well with the #1 Defense and a great rushing attack.

"As long as we're winning games and scoring points, don't matter how Carson is playing." Cardinals Offensive Coordinator Harold Goodwin stated.

Cardinals Running Back Jonathan Dwyer had 87 yards, 23 Carries, and 3 Touchdowns.

The Eagles failed to contain the Cards.

Shady McCoy had 83 yards and 19 Carries.

"Our gameplan went out the window early. Those turnovers really put us in a hole." Eagles Offensive Coordinator Pat Shurmur stated.

The Cardinals had 7 Sacks with Calais Campbell having 3.

Rookie Deone Bucannon had 2 Picks and "Honey Badger" picked off Carson Wentz late in the 4th.

The Ball hawking Cards once again proved that they just might be the team to beat in the NFC.

Roethlisberger's 4th Quarter Comeback leads STEELERS over COLTS 24-20...

                                RECAP

Pittsburgh, PA- Ben Roethlisberger was all smiles in the locker room. He led the Pittsburgh Steelers(4-4) on a 4th Quarter comeback and helped the team stay pace for the North title.

"I'm the leader of this team and these guys depend on me." Roethlisberger stated.

The Steelers(4-4) defeated the Colts(3-5) 24-20 in a rainy day at Heinz Field.

The field was slippery as both teams struggled to find their footing.

"Weather hit us hard but we dug deep in a back and fourth football game." Steelers Head Coach Mike Tomlin stated.

Big Ben finished the day with 267 yards, 3 Touchdowns and a pick for a 133.4 rating.

The horrible Colts(3-5) Defense struggled to contain the pass.

Ben was flinging bombs all over the place.

"We we're outplayed. Couldn't stop anything and that's on us." Colts Head Coach Chuck Pagano stated.

Indy had Rookie Sean Mannion in at QB for the injured Andrew Luck who is still out for another month.

Mannion had 247 yards with 2 Touchdowns and 2 picks.

His second pick was intercepted by Ike Taylor down in the Red Zone when Indy was attempting a possible Game Winning Drive.

"I didn't get enough on that pass." Mannion stated.

The Colts Defense did a solid job isolating Le'Veon Bell who had 88 yards off 21 carries.

Trent Richardson had 69 yards and 17 carries.

No running game found Pay Dirt.

Colts WR Hakeem Nicks was the star for his team catching both TD's and 113 yards off 6 catches.

WR Chad Hall, a new favorite for Ben this year had 3 catches for 132 yards and a TD.

"He's been a great Wideout for us this year." Tomlin stated.

Roethlisberger was dropped 6 times by the Colts pass rush but couldn't hold the lead.

Indy finished the game with more Total yards (415) to Pitt's (363).

The Colts(3-5) loss hands the Titans(4-4) first place in the weak AFC South heading into the second half of the year.

"Still a second half to play and we're still in it." Pagano stated.

The Steelers(4-4) stay in last place in the AFC North but is a still tight Division.
