BRONCOS blow 17 point lead but hold off JETS for first Tie since 2013...

    RECAP

East Rutherford, NJ- The Denver Broncos(1-3-1) got a ugly glimpse today of a future without Franchise Quarterback Peyton Manning.

Manning who is missing a few games with a shoulder injury was on the sidelines when the Broncos trotted out backup Brock Osweiller.

The Broncos(1-3-1) took a 17 point lead today at MetLife and things looked to be going in Denver's way. But the New York Jets(3-2-1) had other ideas.

The Jets mounted a second half comeback with Michael Vick at Quarterback after Rookie John David Booty went down with a torn shoulder.

Vick had 2 Touchdowns and 2 picks but Denver failed to score any points off the turnovers.

"That was our downfall." Broncos Head Coach John Fox stated. "Not converting points off those turnovers. We need to get points."

Broncos GM John Elway now has a ugly glimpse of his Franchise's future should Peyton Manning who was already struggling this year, hang his cleats up this Off-Season.

"We're not there yet." Elway stated. "Peyton will be back in a few weeks. We're worried about this Season first."

It appears Denver is not ready to look ahead of the Manning Era just yet.

The next 3 Weeks will give John Elway, John Fox, and Denver a much clearer picture when they go with Brock Osweiller and Zac Dysert at Quarterback.

It was 20-20 in Overtime with neither team able to put up points. This marks the first tie since November 24, 2013 when the Vikings-Packers tied at 26.

Jets Quarterback John David Booty will miss 5 weeks with a shoulder tear. New York shipped Matt Simms to St. Louis for a draft pick now has just Michael Vick on the roster.

Looks like a QB will be signed as Booty and Smith are injured.

VIKINGS get First Win in Zimmer Era with 20-9 Victory over LIONS.

      RECAP

Minneapolis, MN- Vikings(1-5) Head Coach Mike Zimmer was all smiles at the podium. He just earned his first win as NFL Head Coach.

"Great feeling to get your first win at home in Minnesota over a tough Division rival." Zimmer stated.

The Minnesota Vikings(1-5) defeated the Detroit Lions(2-4) in a tough defensive battle that saw 3 Quarterbacks go down with injuries.

Vikings lost Quarterback Matt Cassel for 7 games with a Broken Collarbone. Vikings Cornerback Josh Robinson suffered a dislocated ankle and will miss 8 weeks. Minnesota will get Teddy Bridgewater back next week.

The Lions have lost Franchise Quarterback Matthew Stafford for 5 games with a Abdomen tear. Backup Quarterback Dan Orlovsky suffered a Broken Collarbone and will miss 7 games. 3rd Stringer Kellen Moore and newly signed Jake Ruddock will be under center.

"It's a league of physicality. Nobody wants to see people get hurt. It's one of those things where it happens and you have to adjust to it." Lions Head Coach Jim Caldwell stated.

After Matt Cassel was hurt, Minnesota turned to Christian Ponder and his first pass was picked off by Rookie DB Reggie Owens.

"I wish I could of gotten that throw back." Ponder stated.

But thanks to the Vikings Defense finding a solid rhythm, Detroit had 0 points off it.

They finished the day with just 3 Field Goals.

"Unacceptable performance by us. You're not going to win a lot of games just by kicking Field Goals." Caldwell stated.

The Detroit Lions(2-4) have now lost 4 straight. It's been a struggle thus far with Caldwell implementing a new system.

PATRIOTS still kings in the East, Win 5th straight after blowing out BILLS in Buffalo 42-13...

        RECAP

Orchard Park, NY- The Buffalo Bills(3-3) had high expectations for this game. A first time matchup of 2014 with the kings of the NFL, Tom Brady and the New England Patriots(5-1).

"We felt like we could beat them. Miami did it, we felt like we could do it too." Bills Head Coach Doug Marrone stated.

But it was not meant to be on this day. The Patriots absolutely dominated their rivals in Buffalo.

A place Tom Brady knows all to well.

"You can look at the numbers all you want on how many times we've been successful here. But at the end of the day, they're still a tough opponent." Brady stated.

The Patriots have now won 5 straight and scored over 40 points in the last 5 games. A testament to how great Offensive Coordinator Josh McDaniels and Head Coach Bill Belichick has the team.

"We're playing great football." Belichick stated.

New England(5-1) was given back another weapon in Rookie WR Marquez North who made his return to the team after missing a few games with a injury.

"It was great being back." North said.

He let his presence be known catching 5 balls for 56 yards and bringing down 2 Touchdowns from TB12.

"He gives us that extra dynamic approach in the passing game." Brady stated.

Brady was Brady. He went 30/39 for 313 yards 4 Touchdowns today but was picked off just once thanks to a misread early in the first half.

That didn't stop Tom from owning the Bills.

"He's the best ever. He just picked us apart." Bills Defensive Coordinator Jim Schwartz stated.

The Bills Defense was solid before entering the game today.

"We have a lot of work to do. This game was a good blue print for us. We're miles away from competing with the Patriots." Bills Head Coach Doug Marrone said.

Buffalo(3-3) chose Quarterback Jeff Tuel for the game today and that proved to be a disaster. Tuel was picked off in the endzone by Devin McCourty when he attempted a bomb for a TD.

Tuel finished the day very badly. 12/18 0 TD's, 1 pick, and 90 yards.

"It was a rough day for us. Bad for me personally." Tuel stated.

Buffalo will probably be looking at another Quarterback for next week.

Jeff Tuel was also under duress most of the game being sacked 7 times by Matt Patricia's unit.

"Great performance by them. I would of loved some more turnovers but sacks are always nice." Patriots Defensive Coordinator Matt Patricia stated.

With the victory today, New England has a little bit of breathing room in the AFC East with 2 games ahead of Buffalo.

They'll get a short week this week as they host the New York Jets(3-2-1) on Thursday Night.

A win over another Division rival will really give them the cushion they need.

The Bills(3-3) will be back to the drawing board still working on their rebuild.

One can only wonder who will be the Quarterback for Week 7.

Newton continues to Struggle. PANTHERS drop 5 straight. BENGALS win 32-10 in the jungle.

            RECAP

Cincinnati, OH- After a Week 1 blowout win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers(4-1), the Carolina Panthers(1-5) looked unstoppable dropping 58 points on their South rival.

But then came a drastic change.

The Carolina Panthers(1-5) have dropped 5 straight after dismal lackluster performances from Franchise Quarterback Cam Newton.

Newton is off to a rough 2014 Campaign in which he now has just 3 Touchdowns to 9 picks for 839 yards.

His rating is a dismal 56.2.

Due to this, the Carolina Panthers are in trouble.

"I'm in a funk that I can't seem to get out of right now." Newton stated.

Today was no different. He was 2/13 for just 18 yards and a pick.

The Bengals took a 16-3 halftime lead and never looked back.

Newton was benched for good at the break in favor of Derek Anderson.

"He's in a funk right now. It happens to everybody. We're all supporting him and trying to help him get through it." Panthers Head Coach Ron Rivera stated.

"We're disappointed this year so far obviously. We feel like we're performing way below expectations." Panthers Owner Jerry Richardson stated.

It's still early but the Panthers(1-5) will need to dig out of the hole they're in.

BROWNS get revenge, Beat STEELERS 40-35 in Cleveland!

              RECAP

Cleveland, OH- In Week 1 the Cleveland Browns(3-2) kicked off their Season with a trip to Pittsburgh. The Steelers(3-3) won the game 30-17 and made life miserable for Johnny Manziel who was getting a taste of his NFL Career.

Today's matchup however was different. The Browns put up 21 points in the 4th Quarter to squeeze by their AFC North rivals by 5.

It was "BelieveLand" once again in Cleveland.

"We always feel like we can win when we're back home in front of our great fans." Browns Head Coach Mike Pettine stated.

The Browns racked up 457 yards of Offense, Quarterback Brian Hoyer was in the zone.

Hoyer threw 3 Touchdowns and 362 yards.

The Browns(3-2) never turned the ball over once.

"I always say we need to win the turnover battle. Today we did that." Head Coach Mike Pettine stated.

"Great Quarterback play today. Brian (Hoyer) was in another zone." Browns Offensive Coordinator Kyle Shanahan stated.

Cleveland's Defense also stepped up big today picking off Steelers Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger twice. He threw 2 TD's and 252 yards.

"It was a shootout for sure but we all need to be better." Roethlisberger stated.

He might be throwing people under the bus again on his radio show.

"Division Games are always the hardest." Steelers Head Coach Mike Tomlin stated.

The Browns could get nothing going on the ground as Terrance West had just 51 yards.

Le'Veon Bell however was a different story. Bell racked up 167 yards and 3 Touchdowns but fumbled late in the game.

"He needs to hold on to the ball." Roethlisberger stated.

A statement which Bell agreed with.

"I need to do a better job holding on to the Football." Bell said.

Star WR Antonio Brown was double teamed all day and was held to just 40 yards and a TD.

The Browns will walk away with a 5 point win.

The Steelers(3-3) drop to .500 heading into Week 7.

Rodgers makes it Rain Harder, PACKERS crush DOLPHINS 56-31 in Rainy South Beach.

                RECAP

Miami, FL- There was a familiar face waiting for the Green Bay Packers(4-2) when they landed in South Beach.

Miami Dolphins Head Coach Joe Philbin.

Philbin was the Packers Offensive Coordinator from 2007-2011. He helped Quarterback Aaron Rodgers to be one of the greatest ever.

"He's the best ever. It's been fun watching him grow as a Quarterback." Philbin stated.

Philbin was with the Packers in 2010 when they won Super Bowl 45.

After the 2011 Season, Philbin pursued Head Coaching gigs and was hired by the Dolphins. Miami is hoping Philbin can work his guru with Ryan Tannehill and Marcus Vick.

Today's game in Miami was 76 Degrees, and pouring down rain.

But that didn't stop Aaron Rodgers from being Aaron Rodgers. Rodgers made it "Rain" all over South Beach as he dropped 5 Touchdowns and 446 yards.

"Great performance. He was just on another level today." Packers Head Coach Mike McCarthy stated.

The Packers(4-2) dominated the Dolphins(2-3) who picked on Rookie Quarterback Marcus Vick intercepting him 4 times.

Ryan Tannehill is sitting out with broken ribs.

"Green Bay is a very good team. Give them credit today for making me struggle." Dolphins QB Marcus Vick stated.

The Packers dominated through the air but struggled on the ground both Offensively and Defensively. Lacy had 23 carries and only 75 yards.

The Packers couldn't stop the run as Knowshon Moreno racked up 190 yards and 2 Touchdowns.

"We can't stop the run. That's something we really need to work on." Packers Head Coach Mike McCarthy stated.

It's no secret the Packers Defense is bad. Yet Aaron Rodgers is still carrying the team.

RAIDERS show signs of life, Blow 13 point lead, Struggles continue, Fall to CHARGERS 46-16.

                  RECAP

Oakland, CA- After a 0-4 start and a Week 5 BYE, the Oakland Raiders(0-5) returned home to host the San Diego Chargers(4-2) inside the aging O.Co Colliseum.

It looked like Oakland had finally had some life.

Rookie Quarterback Derek Carr made his first start in place of the injured Matt Schaub.

Carr led Oakland on a nice Opening Drive throwing a Touchdown for a 7-0 lead.

San Diego's first Drive stalled in the Red Zone when Raiders Safety Tyvon Branch intercepted Phillip Rivers and the Raiders turned it into a 13-0 lead in the first.

Oakland's been struggling bad so far this year and Head Coach Dennis Allen is rumored to be on the hot seat.

The Raiders up 13-0 then completely fell apart.

San Diego(4-2) would then take control of the game putting up 33 unanswered points to crush the Raiders(0-5) in the Black Hole.

"No idea what happened. We took our foot off the gas and they just capitalized." Raiders Head Coach Dennis Allen stated.

The Raiders completely stalled out finishing the day with just 104 yards Offensively.

Derek Carr was injured by the half finishing the day with 2 Touchdowns and 65 yards.

Carr will miss 4 games with a Abdomen Tear.

Matt McGloin came in and had 57 yards.

Oakland's Running Game was once again ineffective as MJD had 6 carries for 2 yards, DmC had 19 yards off 5 carries.

"Those kind of numbers are just pathetic." Raiders Running Back MJD stated.

Chargers Quarterback Phillip Rivers moved past that interception real quickly.

He finished the day with 3 Touchdowns and 304 yards picking apart the Raiders defense.

The Chargers(4-2) move into a good position in the AFC West where they continue their race for first with the Chiefs.

Problems continue for Washington as REDSKINS lose RG3 again, Fall to CARDINALS 33-16 in Arizona.

                    RECAP

Phoenix, AZ- It's a eerie familiar sight far to familiar for Redskins fans in 2014.

Quarterback Robert Griffin III on the turf with a injury.

RG3 was hurt in the Pre-Season. His return vs the Eagles in Philadelphia Week 3 was cut short with a injury. He missed the next 2 games.

When the Washington Redskins(1-5) landed in Phoenix yesterday, Head Coach Jay Gruden had announced Griffin III to be the starter.

It was a tough spot for RG3 to return.

A tough matchup with the League's #1 Defense. The ball hawking Arizona Cardinals(4-1).

                    "I'm very disappointed." RG3 stated.

Griffin started today but didn't last long.

GriffinIII was 0/3 passing and rushed for 46 yards before breaking his throwing thumb.

Washington's Medical Staff has now announced he will miss 4 games.

This marks the third time this year, RG3 will be missing games.

                    It's a sight too familiar...

"It's a tough situation. He can't seem to catch a break. We all love him." Redskins Owner Daniel Snyder stated.

"It went from bad to worse for us." Redskins Head Coach Jay Gruden stated.

When Griffin III went down, Washington turned to backup Kirk Cousins.

                    It was a disaster.

Cousins didn't stand a chance against Arizona's #1 Defense picking him off 6 times.

"It was a disaster. There's nothing else to say about it." Cousins stated.

Arizona's Ball Hawking Defense made life miserable for Cousins.

"We're a really good team after a performance like that. We do it consistently. Really great group of guys." Cardinals Head Coach Bruce Arians stated.

Cardinals Quarterback Carson Palmer was pedestrian today. Throwing for a Touchdown and a pick for 265 yards.

"All that matters is that we won the game." Palmer stated.

Cards Running Back Dwyer rushed for 88 yards.

COWBOYS no match for SEAHAWKS. Seattle Crushes Dallas 43-7.

                      RECAP

Seattle, WA- In what was being advertised as possibly game of the year was anything but that.

"It was a very bad performance by us. Unacceptable on both sides of the ball." Cowboys Head Coach Jason Garrett stated.

The Dallas Cowboys(5-1) greatest challenge so far this year was the Super Bowl Champions Seattle Seahawks(4-1).

The Defending Champs mopped the floor with the Boyz' handing Dallas their first loss.

Tony Romo's first game back from injury was a disaster.

Romo threw 148 yards, no Touchdowns, 4 picks. His rating was 16.3

Seattle took a 20-0 halftime lead.

                        RECAP

Tampa, FL- It was a sunny hot day in southern Florida when Quarterback Josh McCown made it rain.

McCown dropped 4 Touchdowns and 337 yards against the struggling Baltimore Ravens.

"He was on his game today. Just a master of his craft." Buccaneers Head Coach Lovie Smith stated.

The Buccaneers(5-1) have now won 5 straight and are in first place in the NFC South.

The Ravens(2-4) stumble without Quarterback Joe Flacco who is still missing time with his ruptured disk.

But Baltimore wouldn't go down easy without a fight. The Ravens gave the Bucs all they could handle.

Josh McCown led game tying drives twice late in the second half.

Then came overtime. Tampa Bay won the toss.

McCown took the field again and led the Buccaneers on a 77 yard Game Winning Drive ending with a Doug Martin TD run from 5 yards out.

"We have a lot of character in this locker room." Buccaneers QB Josh McCown stated. "We feel we always have a chance and can make the most of it."

The Ravens(2-4) struggled with Tyrod Taylor. Taylor finished the day with 169 yards and 2 picks. 0 Touchdowns.

"I had a rough day. I need to play a lot better." Taylor said.

"We had a rough day." Ravens Head Coach John Harbaugh stated.

The Ravens struggled in the passing game but Running Back Ray Rice racked up 194 yards and a TD including a huge 89 yard gain.

"That was bad. We need to focus on not giving up so many big plays like that." Lovie Smith stated.

But to counter, Bucs RB Doug Martin had 191 yards and a TD of his own.

"We have work to do." Ravens Defensive Coordinator Dean Pees stated.

The Buccaneers(5-1) dominated today and we're aggressive converting 4th and inches, and 4th and 1 early in the first half.

Baltimore(2-4) fell apart early and only converted 6 third downs all game.

"We struggled to move the ball at times. Need to focus harder on that." Ravens Offensive Coordinator Gary Kubiak stated.

The Buccaneers finished the day with 648 total yards to Ravens 481.

"We're a great football team. We work hard each week and we believe in one another." Buccaneers Head Coach Lovie Smith said.

The Ravens continue to struggle but it's mainly due to the fact that Franchise Quarterback Joe Flacco is out hurt.

Baltimore's Front Office should give John Harbaugh a pass for the rough season.

Both teams turned the ball over twice.
